Very disappointed in this company. The worst customer service, no follow ups, no sense of urgency. Solar have not been working for over a month. Schedule led first technician, but he didnt show up, no call no show. Had to call and schedule another appointment, but technician couldnt fix anything because he was by him self. Again, no follow up on that service call, found on my own calling customer service. Scheduled another service call with two technicians in one week. So basically I am moved in the back of the line again, since I have to wait for open availability. Sounds horrible and very unprofessional. No reimbursement offered for running my electrical company instead. Stay away from this company, wished I did my research prior choosing this company and went with my local solar guys where you can get hold of people and who are standing behind their company name.

I am a Frontline healthcare worker who became disabled after an unfortunate vaccine reaction, and essentially lost my bedside nursing career. I have been considering solar for a while and it seemed like the perfect timing to proceed because I could benefit not only from the decrease in my energy bills, but also the tax benefit. I signed paperwork in late 2022, and the panels were on my roof by 1/13/23. From the start, I had concerns. Different teams would show up not knowing what the other team had just done, and there were many clerical issues. The only contact I got from this company was an email to tell me that installation was complete. I was in close contact with my rep who made many calls on my behalf. Each time he made a call he was told I would be online in weeks. I called myself and was told that getting a system up could take 6+ months. This is not what I had been told, and not the industry standardmany people in my town had systems up in 8-12 weeks. The company rep spoke poorly about my sales rep (who has gone above and beyond for me) and shows no record of his calls. He called again, and I finally got an email describing another clerical issue. I waited a week, emailed him back, and have heard nothing. That was 2 weeks ago/4 months since install. There seems to be no attention to detail here. To add to the insult, I am now having to pay on the loan, the homeowners insurance, and my energy bill on a fixed income. Paying on the loan when the equipment is not even up and running seems fraudulent to me. This is apparently a HUGE company, and they seem to have forgotten about the consumer. Next contacts will be to the Department of Consumer Protection, the Attorney General in my state, as well as my Senator and State Representative. I suggest that the rest of you do the same, and if you are doing research ahead of time (like I should have), go with another company. I cant back out now, and I worry about customer service and accountability in the future.

Hey ******, I apologize your project has taken longer than you'd expected. The solar timeline can vary from project to project, and most projects I've seen with ***'s do end up on the lengthy side. I started the process a year ago. I have been paying for the panels since August. Inspection fail multiple times and when it finally passed by city in February and UI did their part still not on. No one calls to follow up and let me know where I stand with the process. I keep calling them as well and no one calls back. Do not used them at all to many 3rd parties as well call here call there. I have been paying light bill and solar for 9 months. Very disappointed.

Hey ***, I'm sorry to hear the solar process has taken you longer than expected. There is no guaranteed solar timeline in the install agreement, but I understand it can still be frustrating for a process like this to take so long. I'll be reaching out to you directly to see how we can help resolve your concerns and get your relationship with BPS on the right foot. Best,Trev

You are right it was my fault not reading the full agreement as I trusted the sales guy. Sales guy name **** states process can take as long as 6 months and he lied. In fact it can take 3 years BUT customer should not be paying until the panels are functional. I have been in contact with my electrical company who keeps telling me they are waiting on Brighter Planet to take corrective actions. In the mean time I am collecting information to move fore with my next step ***

Had our panels installed back in Oct 2022 and still to this day we dont have answers as to why we arent turned on. Failed city inspection and called multiple times to try to get answers and always told the supervisor that handles these issues is out on maternity leave. Still dont have answers and they are about to start taking payments for the solar we cant use.

Hey ***, it's common for solar systems to fail inspection at least once. I apologize the process has taken longer than you anticipated. I'll make sure a supervisor reaches out to you today or tomorrow to address your concerns.

I signed my contract with bright planet solar
To go solar on august 8th 2022 and my sales rep promised me that they will have my system running in less than 90 days .
a month later they came on September 9th to do the installation which it only took a day.
Since then i never heard anything from them until November 15th that i got an email from goodleap that my first 1st loan payment will be due on November 19th.
Thats when I go worried and decided to call them to see why im starting making payments without having the the system turned back on.
When I reached out to them and told them about my situation, and when is my system will be turned back on.
All they kept telling is that they are waiting to get the work order number from national Grid first then after that to schedule the city inspection .
I waited another month and called them more then 20x times
    Until today im still waiting.
    The customer services is BAD
They really hang up on your face .
today is February 8th 2023 im on to my 4th loan payment and nothing has been done regarding my situation.
Please do research about this company before you go Solar with them.

We ga e had our solar for 3 years each bringing new problems with the system and urgency is not their forte. We have had our inverts replace on an individual bases 2 times now and we still keep having problems. We had lost quite a bit of solar from august to november and still losing out on valuable saving. We have complained numerous times and the lack of urgency and response to our issues have cost us an enormous amount of money. We were promised a refund for our loss but needless to say if was not fair compensation at all . With still having issues I would recommend anyone but Bright Planet Solar. The customer service is horrible, the response time frim complaint to service is also horrible. My advice find someone reputable and local, this company will only cost you money. We have a 78 panel system that cost about 80k and now also huge electric bills due to equipment not working and service. We would like you all to know this is and will be a lawsuit against Bright Planet Solar and we will fight to be reimbursed for the entire system , as well as our compensation for our unfortunate situation. Stay away from these guys.

Bright Planet Solar is by far the worst company we have ever dealt with period. The install took MONTHS longer than it was supposed to, they left exposed wires, the left hand never knew what the right hand was doing and the customer service is AWFUL. We would have people show up unscheduled to "finish the job" only to be told that they couldn't because whoever was out the time before didn't do what they were supposed to do. WORST OF ALL - they shut off our existing system at the beginning (they weren't supposed to do that) so we weren't generating power from our existing panels during the most lucrative months. We were told this happens and we would be reimbursed... you can guess how this is playing out. Several phone calls, even more emails and it is CRICKETS. If I could give this negative stars, I would.

Our system was installed in May of 22 and it is now mid January of 23. We still are not in the grid though we have been told since June that it would be two or three weeks out. We were misinformed by the salespeople when we asked if they were ******. They even provided me with a ****** app to check on progress. It was not until much later that we learned this was not ******.

The salesman told us it was a lifetime warranty, any leaks would be covered by the company. A year ago it made 4 yrs with the sar and we started having leaks. My roof is leaking and they refusing to pay for a reroof. Only leaks where their solar panels are in my attic and to a bedroom ceiling. They had someone come to fix it last year but come to find out it was a bandaid fix. Now a year later,,warranty is done and still leaking. They should of fixed it right the first time. And when they installed the solar we are now finding some half fast jobs they did while installing. The roof was doomed to have leaks. I would not recommend solar to anyone unless it's a lifetime warranty. And your lawyer checks your contract.
