1 starCompany came out April 30, 2024 for one day install. They dropped tools and material on my patio cover and have yet to come and fix it. They Sent a contractor out who recommends replacing it but they continue to give a run around saying they're waiting for him to respond. They dropped a 50lbs roll of copper off the roof on to the patio destroyer it. Tools in the pool, screws left all over the yard. In addition to that, the conduit work is terrible, they have no regard for aesthetics. They mounted and moved equipment and left holes all over the side of the house. Thank god there were no injuries on my project because these guys had harness and safety equipment but it was just laying in their piles of trash all over the place. The crew members were clearly upset about cussing about their work and at the end of the day all of the urine bottles were dumped on the street where they were parked. This company needs some quality control ASAP. I am not surprised by the terrible reviews they have. Their customer service seems to be seasoned veterans at handling complaints by just playing the run around game and not properly dealing with issues. I'm going through my insurance to deal with this issue at this point because they will not fix their mistakes.BrightOps

1 starThe install was horribly done. Since getting the panels back in October of 2022, my roof has had terrible leaks. I have vaulted ceilings and there is visible water damage. The installers that had showed up didn't look professional at all. They seemed to be a bunch of kids that didn't know what they were doing. We later had one issue "fixed" where the company patched a part of the roof that was leaking and it still didn't fix the issue. Now we have other parts of the roof that clearly need a professional roofing company but they keep sending their own crew to try to fix the situation. Every time I call customer service to remedy the situation, they tell me that they would call me back to set up appointments for the repairs and I never hear back about anything! I've spent over 40 grand on a product and service that I thought would make my life easier and yet here I am like everyone else on this website. I wish I had done the research on this company before committing all this money to them.BrightOps

1 starHorrible experience my solar panels installed by this company in Puerto Rico no customer service number available to call and get application issues resolved my batteries are not working. Seller ignoring our request to get issues fixed. Main customer service referred me back to the sellers until our duo meter is installed. We now have these solar panels that are not working and have no way of getting the issue resolved.BrightOps

1 starI purchased a system in 2018. Customer service service agent I recently spoke with was unknowledgeable regarding their solar product. I was looking to add to my current system but I guess I'll go elsewhere. Also, at the time of install I was promised a smart thermostat and they didn't deliver. Extremely difficult to contact this company the phone number for Bright Planet Solar is answered by a subcontractor "BrightOps". I thought I misdialed the phone#. They just install the system and then they're gone. Wish I knew this before purchasing.BrightOps

Natalie,
Thanks for reaching out to us Bright Ops is our new name as we are formally Bright Planet Solar. We do not sell directly to customers as we are just an installer, but I can forward a message over to your solar broker you originally worked with in order to help answer your questions on additional panels. They would also be the ones to talk to about any additions that you were promised like a smart thermostat as that is not something we promise or install for customers, we just handle solar only. I will pass this onto your broker and they will get in touch with you.Review fromGrace M

1 starThis was such a terrible experience and it still hasn't been resolved. My site survey was completed in 12/2023. The plan that was developed was agreed upon & signed in January and my installation was scheduled for March 1, 2024. I was told to have all areas near all electrical panels including subpanels cleared to give the installers space to work. Three days before the installation, we received word that the design needed to change, less panels and the install date needed to be moved to enter the new agreement in the system. The new install date was March 8. The arrived and overall the work of the panels/install is fine. I was told that day instead of using subpanels a trench was being dug up on my property to install connector pipes for the outdoor meters/disconnect box to be connected to main panel only. I was told everything would be completed that day and put back the way it was. I still have an open hole in my property, my landscaping is ruined, my bushes and perennials are ruined and no one is taking accountability. It is a safety hazard and I keep getting passed to a different department. There is more but not enough space on this site. Buyer beware because execution, communication and accountability is incredibly poor. With all these complaints, I am amazed they still do business here in MA.BrightOps

1 starHorrible experience . Worst customer service ever . We signed contract almost 2 years ago .By the way very misleading contract with multiple flaws and lies . The panels were installed 1 year later . Just imagine that 1 year later after You sign the contract they finish installing it . So I removed trees they asked me to remove wich was not cheap . Then they told me I had to get roof replaced, supposedly they would cover it. I swear they hired the worst crew ever came and destroyed my deck and my fences ... Meanwhile they have the audacity to start payments without you even having the panels working . After they got it working 2 months later the system didnt work for 6 months ... how is this possible if i had not called bps and asked why I'm paying them plus my old service provider once again they came with a lame excuse and tried to blame it on us because we never checked the app.. how would I have know a new system would stop working nor was I ever told to download an app and track the system . This is outrageous.. you mean to tell me for 6 months they never noticed the system was down . I mean what kind of clowns are running this company.. now I'm still waiting for them to fix this issue .. worst company ever don't fall for their c*** it's all a scam . Will have to talk to lawyers because they didn't not fulfill their contract..BrightOps

1 starI would give 0 stars if I could. Worst Company I have ever worked with as a customer. My panels were installed on January 6, 2023, before I had a permit from my town. My first inspection in April failed and then passed in May of 2023. Attic photos were taken in the beginning of June, by an inspector who is no longer there. The panels have been on my house for 1 year and still not operational. I have called countless times over the last 6 months following my final inspection where I was told everything was good. After months of BPS putting the blame on the Utility company and my Town and their timeline, I called my Utility Company and Town building department. My town has not granted permission due to missing attic photos which I have been communicating for months to BPS. They keep telling me that their interconnection team has not mentioned this. I was told in October everything was resubmitted to my town. Still not operational despite multiple calls and questioning. I have gotten no answer on the attic photos that are missing to my town, taken by an inspector no longer with BPS. I have placed about 20 phone calls and multiple emails asking what is being done, and get the same response every time that they are checking with the interconnection team. I had to escalate to speak to a supervisor this morning. BPS has an incentive to turn the panels on and rectify the situation and they have done absolutely nothing. By far the worst customer experience I have ever had.BrightOps

1 starI would have given zero stars but you have to at least give one! This is the worst company ever! Lied to from the beginning for my sales rep and still being lied to, I will file a complaint with the attorney generals office, and I think there should be a class action lawsuit against bright solar planet .My solar project started 10+ months ago and still not up and running. Charged over 83,000 dollars but cant get an itemized bill for proof, along the way there were so many mistakes, jobs completed by myself and my family because you could never get bright solar back to do anything. I have so much to say here but it would take pages and days to say! Please DO NOT USE this companyBrightOps

Hey *****, I apologize that your solar experience has taken longer than you expected. The solar timeline is not something that's guaranteed in the agreement because it can vary from customer to customer. From permitting approvals to submitting for permission to operate, the length of a project isn't something that can be expressly promised without that promise being in jeopardy. If you have any further questions, you can reach out to me via email at ******************************Review fromDori K

1 starI would have put zero stars but you cant! Worst company ever! DONT buy from them, they just want to charge you for all their mistakes! We now have a leaky roof! Plus, they disconnected part of our panels so now we are only getting 60% of of what we should be getting for SREC Trade in cash. It is a game for them, dont ruin your roof! Warranty is only 5 years, so you have to pay them every time you have an issue they caused. I already paid them to remove the panels to find the leaks under the panels and they lied and said that they lifted them all up. They had to come back out a second time and still didnt lift up all the panels. Now they want to me to pay them again for asking them to do the same thing for the 3rd time. Ridiculous, save yourself the headache and keep your money safe from them.BrightOps

Hey ****, I apologize you're having difficulties with your roof. We commit to fulfilling our promises in the solar agreement with every customer. This includes fulfilling maintenance requests, repairing damages we're responsible for, etc. Once the warranty is up, we're still happy to help fix any issues with the system or solar related home damage, but it becomes a service you have to pay for. That's just the nature of the agreement. I've also l looked over all the notes in your account related to roof leaks, and it appears the subcontractor's who assessed the damage determined that it's not solar related. I am concerned about the disconnected panels you mentioned, so I will be reaching out to you directly to discuss this issue further.Review fromLevi E

1 starBright planet solar is an absolute nightmare of a company. We have a system in place that is total garbage. Every person that you speak to on the phone regarding issues is rude and inconsiderate. On top of that, our sales representative forged my signature and deposited my $15,000 incentive check into his own bank account. Our roof was damaged, our chimney was damaged, the conduit on the system was energized with electricity from faulty installation, it was a fire hazard. Do not do business with bright planet solar or their loan company good leap.BrightOps
