I signed a contract for leasing equipment the representative mislead. I spoke to the leasing officer while me and him going through the contract I wanted to finance the equipments. I ask the representative why does the contract said leasing of the equipment he said it is the same as financing I am paying to own the equipment which was not true. Leasing is basically renting the equipment. Few months after I found out that I have to return the equipments after paying the lease. I spoke to a manager and make several complaints I returned the equipment and they are still charging me and posting on my credit. The moral of what I am trying to explain is that they have the representative misled me by not telling me the truth of the term when I ask. Therefore I am requesting for a refund and deletions of the post made on my credit report

      Customer Answer

      Date: 05/05/2023

I have not heard from the business in response to my complaint. I have spoke to the business numerous time on resolving the issue and close the account however the business strategy is to have different personal talk to me on the phone regarding the account. One representative spoke to me and laugh about it their excuse was that I already signed the contract.

Please be advised you entered into a Non-Cancelable Commercial Equipment Lease Agreement with TimePayment. The term "lease" is clearly used throughout the document. Please see section 5, End of Lease Term, which outlines your options at the end of the lease to either return the equipment, purchase the equipment at fair market value, or extend the terms on a month to month basis.

I have reviewed the response submitted by the business and have determined that the response does not satisfy my issues and/or concerns in reference to complaint #********. I will not accept the representative have no rights to tell me a lie when I ask about the term of the least he clearly states that the word least is the same thing as finance if I know it was a different meaning I would refuse to sign the contract but he knew that , that if he do not do financing I wouldnt enter into a contract so he lied to me

Signed contract for lease to buy option of 22 payments. Payments debited automatically from account on time for 22 payments. Credit report shows account is current, paid in full, and closed. Two months later, began getting daily phone calls and now collection letters after the company continued to try to charge my account.

Please be advised you signed a Non-Cancelable Commercial Equipment Lease Agreement for a base monthly payment of $116.09 plus applicable taxes and fees, for a base term of 21 months. At the end of the base term, you have the option of returning the equipment or purchasing the equipment for fair market value as quoted by TimePayment not to exceed the three monthly lease payments. You are receiving notices that payment of the fair market value is due because you have not notified TimePayment that you wish to purchase the equipment or return it. As a courtesy, TimePayment has closed your account. We hope this matter has been resolved to your satisfaction.

I am leasing a tanning bed and my payments are supposed to go to Time Payment. I lost my job in June of last year and I called Time Payment immediately to let them know because I had no way to make my payments. I was told there was nothing they could do for me and that I would just need to pay what I could until I got a job. I got a job in August and I had to catch up other bills but I did mail them $449.76 so I am now back to being a month behind. My husband was supposed to just be the ********* on the lease and they have reported negatively on his credit instead of mine. They have never reported on my credit and I need my husbands credit corrected as he was just a *********.

Please be advised that although he may have signed as "co-signer," your husband also signed as Personal Guarantor, meaning he agreed to be personally liable under the lease and have all the same obligations as you under the lease. Please reference the Personal Guaranty section of the lease.

Time Payment tacks on additional fees such as credit card decline fee prior to billing due date; therefore, if I can provide proof that my bill was agreed at $873; however, I am charged $930.72 (that I was told was an increase for the liability insurance; however, that is charged in addition to the $930 and was not agreed to or on the contract) and it has been paid in full; why are you attempting to take money from my account then charged me a decline fee when you were not owed money and an additional NEW FEE "statement billing charge?" I can't remove automatic bill pay and the system is being abused by not allowing me to pay manually without your penalties. After my bill is paid and money is removed from my account the system still shows all these fees due; however, funds have been quickly removed from my account. I see this to be an interest free loan. If your story is that you are closed then my money should stay in my account. Don't attempt to take money from my account in advance, charge me a decline fee for a date that is prior to the due date, and leave my account looking unpaid then charge me for a statement billing that I have never paid before. It's obviously abusive. I am asking you to refund my money, audit my account and stop treating hard working people like this you make more than enough in interest. Please note the due date is not listed on the so called invoice.

Product was leased with the understanding from salesman that it was a transferable lease. After several attempts to contact time payment I was finally told it was not transferable. It was plainly stated was not entering a two year agreement for a new business that I would not get out of and was told THATS NO PROBLEM IT CAN EASILY BE TRANFERRED IF DOESNT OUT FOR YOU. time payment has zero interest of making it right only contacting credit bureaus

I purchased equipment for my small business from a company that referred me to Time payment for financing. I signed my contract on Jan 31 2023 agreeing to pay $115.40 (plus applicable taxes, tax processing fee and damage fee). I was not told that this damage fee of $15.34 would be added because I was unable to obtain insurance on such a small loan. Also, my first payment showed an excessive $10.70 processing fee for statement processing I wanted complete electronic billing but was told I had to pay the fee anyway. My first payment was supposed to begin 90 days after signing contract which should have been April 31. They scheduled auto payment date on April 30 which is 1 day before I get paid and they refused to change it when asked so I turned off auto pay and made payment on April 2 using the app. (Note that my payment was made 28 days early). I received a letter sent in March 31 saying that I was charged $21.00 because they attempted an auto payment that did not go through successfully ( supposedly turned off by their representative and should not have been debited until April 30). My first payment was $151.76 after all of the hidden fees were tacked in to my monthly bill. That is $36. more than what I agreed to in my contract. I was told that the letter I received was an automated response letter sent out but how can they do that when it said it was charging me for a failed attempt to debit my account which wasnt even due yet? This company needs to be investigated and shut down for lack of transparency and poor billing practices. Why should I pay an exhorbitant statement fee when I am using an app and have opted out of statements?

      Customer Answer

      Date: 04/18/2023

I have not heard from the business in response to my complaint other than my initial contact when they basically notified me that I had to pay the extra charges even if I elected not to have the statement mailed. Their excessive / hidden charges seem to be part of their business practice which is likely why they have a non- returnable non- cancellation fee built in to the contract. BEWARE this company.

This company engages in predatory lending. I made an equipment purchase for my business which I believed I was funding through an equipment lease with a company called QuickSpark. My agreement with QuickSpark was straightforward, however they use TimePayment Corp., a third-party to collect payments, and they charge hidden, exorbitant fees. So while the assumption is that youve signed an agreement with the lending company, what is really happening is that you are being manipulated into signing a document agreeing to 300% of the initial loan amount. To make matters worse, the equipment I bought from *************** in LA is faulty. Furthermore, when I offered to settle, I was given a balance amount that was over $1k my actual balance. If this company would like to settle with me directly, please be in contact. And If there is a class-action lawsuit in progress, please contact me as I would be willing to contribute to legal fees to *** this company.

Again, TimePayment has yet to come up with another scam to defraud me out of money. This time, TimePayment has sent me a letter stating I now owe them $20.33 without any explanation. My payments are up to date and has never been late. Their scam like tactics is becoming annoying and frequent as so they are trying to confuse people with thrown-in-the-air figures so people will not know what their payments are.I think this business is running some sort of scam and needs Federal investigations into their business. Businesses should not have to go through day-to-day headaches because TimePayment thinks people will give in and just let them steal from them.

Our records reflect that the reason for this invoice was explained to you in an email with our collections manager. The invoice was printed 3/25/23 and is due 4/20/23; after credits to your account, this brought the payment due in April down to $20.33.

I have reviewed the response submitted by the business and have determined that the response does satisfy my issues and/or concerns in reference to complaint #********. I understand that by choosing to accept the business response that my complaint will be closed as resolved.

The email was explained late, but now I'm aware of the reason I can accept your response. The letter makes things as if this was this month's bill that should be due. The letter should have come with a clearer understand, as we are just still in this month's billing cycle, considering your past history with me.
