5 starsMy husband and I got back from the Highlights of *******, ******** and ******* tour a week ago, and we couldn't be more sad. Sad that it's over, of course! This was our first tour with EF and our first guided tour ever. We had the best time! Our tour guide, Steel, was very knowledgeable and entertaining. Everything was well organized and fun and we loved every second of it. We can't wait to book another tour (our bank account can wait, but we can't!). I am recommending EF to anyone and everyone. 5 starsExcellent company! The Thailand tour was well organized and the transportation was clean and comfortable. The tour director was awesome and made sure we were all happy. 5 starsIve made it my goal in retirement to see the world, and GoAhead Tours has made that goal come true time after time.Ive been on ten tours to date, and have five more booked over the next two years.GoAhead puts together great itineraries and executes them to perfection. They hire outstanding tour directors who are great at what they do, and are terrific people, and also hire outstanding bus drivers and local guides.With GoAhead Tours all you have to do is get to the airport and GoAhead will take care of you until you return back home.Group travel with GoAhead also introduces you to many lovely people who become friends for life.I cant recommend GoAhead Tours enough!

1 starI purchased a for any reason cancellation policy with EF GO Ahead Tours and had the understanding the FOR ANY REASON was applicable to a voucher or a refund. EF GO Ahead Tours only provides vouchers which I dont want and the filing of a claimrequires some documentation of medical/ death proof for a reason. Definitely NOT in good standing with for any reason sales line given. In my experience, this policy of EF GO Ahead is misleading and lacks details of restrictions on refunds. I shouldnt have to provide justification on a FOR ANY REASON insurance policy to get a refund. Potential EF GO Ahead Tour customers BE AWARE!

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We apologize if there was any confusion regarding our Any Reason Protection policy. This is a non-insurance benefit that travelers can purchase to receive a credit for future travel if they do need to cancel for a reason that may not be covered under an insurance policy. We do state on our website, along in our terms and conditions, that this is a credit option not a refund. With filing any claim, documentation is needed to prove the reason for the cancellation. If a refund is your preference, we'd recommend moving forward with the claim process and see how it is resolved. Since you did purchase our Any Reason Protection plan, if you are unable to receive a refund, we can still offer the credit so that you can travel at a later time. I spoke to various sales people and I was never told that verification would be needed to get a refund. If the company has it stated on website, the sales people should clearly state with transparency a reason and verification is needed when buying a for any reason cancelation policy to get a refund. Total scam. Future customers be aware! They want me to take a voucher so I book a different trip with them. I have no interest in traveling with a company that lacks integrity. I am out $700+ and simply want to forewarn others.

5 starsThis was my first tour with EF Go Ahead Tours and it was fantastic. I have been on several tours with another company that is also awesome, and I thought it would be hard for EF to compete with the service they provide. I must say that my EF tour experience was even better. Our tour guide was absolutely the best. He spoke very good English, gave very clear directions and went out of his way over and over to exceed all of our needs. Our bus drivers and co-pilots were also exceptional. Lastly, the mix of people on our tour was also great and I met many new friends. I would highly recommend this company, and I will probably travel with them again in the future.

5 starsMy husband and I have been traveling with ** GoAhead Tours since 1998, often taking multiple trips in the same year. We have done 20+ trips with them, and each one has been excellent. We have never had a problem with the itineraries, the guides, or the travel arrangements. Even during the ***** years, the ** staff were responsive to questions and concerns. We can't say enough good things about this tour company.

2 starsThis is for the tour of *************** This was my third tour with GoAhead in the past ***************************************** customer service and quality. The wait time to talk to anyone on the phone was consistently 45 min- 1 hour leading up to the tour and after. Ridiculous. For my past 2 tours I received a quality travel bag in the mail from GoAhead. This time, GoAhead sent a cookbook. Like that will come in handy whilst on tour. We were abandoned at a London tube by the Tour Director, ******, when we couldn't get on fast enough. Then he abandoned the entire group at a *********** to "challenge us" to see if we could all find our way back without him. Wow. Travel was chaotic and disorganized and he did NOT want to be bothered by anyone in the group. The *********** location was shabby and filled with a constant stream of loud motorcycles and skateboarders at all hours, making sleep a challenge. I was also disturbed that GoAhead made a point to say that all of us travelers absolutely MUST have COVID testing just before travel, and that the Tour Director would be checking these test results as soon as we arrived. ****** never once mentioned this testing, and certainly never came around to check our test results. I feel really lied to about this.When I contacted GoAhead with the documented issues we experienced and the demonstrable lies we were told on the tour, the representative acted concerned and told us we were surely owed a partial refund. I asked for a $400/person partial refund ($800 total), which is peanuts compared to the total cost. Of course, GoAhead later came back and said NO. No refund of any kind would be ******** that ended our relationship w/GoAhead after 3 tours. They didn't care at all about losing our future business, and they don't care about making things right -- just getting your money and nickel and diming you to death. So, BEWARE. This company is not what it once was. There are many other choices out there, fortunately.

We would like to clarify that this feedback pertains to a tour that took place three years ago, during a challenging period for travel as the industry worked to recover. While there were areas for improvement, as there always are, we continuously evaluate and implement customer feedback to enhance the tour experience. Since this tour, we have worked diligently to bring all tours back to our standards.
At the time, we had certain COVID-19 protocols in place that are no longer part of our operations. A Go Ahead representative spoke with you to document your valuable feedback, which was shared directly with the team overseeing our Tour Directors. While the requested $300 refund (which was the amount listed in our records) was not approved in accordance with our service recovery guidelines, we did recognize your loyalty and concerns by extending a credit equivalent to the amount required to cover a deposit for a future tour.
We understand that this tour may not have met the standards of your previous experiences, but we hope those past travels reflect how the majority of our tours operate. We remain open to discussing your experience further and sincerely hope to welcome you on another journey in the future. Regardless, we wish you all the best in your future travels.

2 starsWe went on the European tour from Lucerne to Prague. Overall the tour was good, the tour guide efficient and we felt safe. And then we had a medical issue on the flight from Prague to Amsterdam and had to stay in Amsterdam an extra week. The staff helping us to find hotels, etc, were fantastic. The problem arose when we tried to get insurance coverage. Out of $4000, the insurance paid less than $900 (& we paid a lot for the actual insurance). And this was the insurance we bought from EF. ALL of it was documented and supported. Unfortunately, we will choose to not travel with EF again because of this.
