So far, so good. I'm saving money and reducing my carbon footprint. I would recommend a more detailed bill in terms of credits accumulated and used.

I like contributing to creating more solar power, but as time has gone by on this program I see a smaller return on investment and a drastic increase in the monthly cost.

      Hi *****,

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We first wanted to thank you for being a long-time Nexamp community solar subscriber. We also want to make sure your experience is as positive as can be.

As a reminder, it was completely free to join our program, and you will receive a 10% discount on the solar credits that your share of the farm generates monthly. Given that you have been in our program for a considerable amount of time, it is possible that your electricity needs have changed. To make sure you are maximizing your savings, we would be happy to review your current electricity usage patterns. We will have a representative from our team reach out to you so that we can learn more and tend to your concerns.

Thank you for your time and for being a Nexamp community solar subscriber.

I have requested on multiple occasions to be removed from Nexamp's mailing list. Impossible to reach a human by phone because they only give you the option of pressing one for a new customer or two for an existing customer. I am NOT interested in doing business with this company.

Was with Nexamp for a year and the bills seemed high. When I checked my credits I had accumulated over **** kWh. I knew I would not need that many so I called with my concern. The agent assured me that the company would reimburse me for any credits that expired and we lowered my allocation which I was told would take 3 months. Four months pass and my bills are still very high and I cant tell how many credits I am receiving because this information is not available on their bills and they claim to not have that information when I call customer service which seems crazy. How can you not know how much product you are selling? The next month the credits started to expire. I have called them over a half dozen times to get the credit for the expired credits and am told every time they will have someone look into the matter. I have heard from no one and when I call they say there is no higher up available to speak with me so I cancelled my service. That also supposedly takes three months however the third month passed in September and I just received an email saying there maybe more bills to cover solar credits I have earned. How could there be a bill for solar credits I have earned when over a third of credits I never received? Seems like they intentionally oversubscribe their customers to fill the solar farm allocations. Great idea but an unethical company. You will lose money.

      Hi *******,

Thank you for sharing your thoughts about your Nexamp account.

We pride ourselves on delivering an exceptional customer experience and we take feedback from our customers seriously. We sincerely apologize for the inconveniences you have experienced and hope the details below can help you move forward.

When you first signed up with our program, we analyzed your usage and electricity costs to estimate a share size on our solar farm that should cover close to 90% of your electricity costs for the year. In order to cover these costs, it is typical for our customers to produce more credits than what they need in the summer months when days are long and sunny, to still substantially reduce their utility costs in the winter where solar energy production is less. The excess credits that are generated in the summer months will remain on your utility account and will be used during those months where your usage is greater than the energy credits generated by the solar farm.

However, due to regulations set forth by the State, your excess solar credits will expire if they are not used within 12 months. Due to this, we strongly advise customers to provide us with ample notice if they have electricity usage changes so that they can receive an appropriate number of solar credits throughout the year to meet their needs. It is important to note, whether it be to adjust subscription sizes on our farm or process cancelation requests, the process is not immediate, and it is referenced in the contract you signed with Nexamp.

While we recognize the difficulties that you have faced, we have acted in good faith and want to make it clear that Nexamp is certainly willing to work with you to create a solution that works for both parties. We are a veteran-founded business committed to helping people decarbonize their life. We operate in numerous states and help tens of thousands of customers save money on their electricity bills every month. We have spent hours researching and responding to your review because we are committed to providing the best service possible for all our customers.

A senior representative from our team will be reaching out to ensure a solution is reached as soon as possible. We thank you for your cooperation and time as a Nexamp subscriber.

I am very happy with Nexamp. There have been some savings, we're doing something here to save the environment, and I think their online billing is superb. It's easy to pay your monthly bill with just a few clicks. It's a bit surprising that the overall customer rating at this writing is 2.19/5, because in my own case, the company has done very well.

I have repeatedly asked Nexamp for a detailed bill but they either refuse or are unable to show how they arrived at my August total. I simply asked to please show me how Nexamp came to the total using math and whatever numbers they used in their calculations. I thought what I requested was simple. At the very least, a customer asking for a detailed bill should not be that hard to provide but instead you explain using smoke and mirrors.

      Hi ******,

Thank you for providing your candid feedback.

Our support team is always committed to helping our customers understand how our program works and where they are seeing savings.

Put simply, you will be able to see the reductions that Nexamp is applying to your utility bills under the Usage Information for Meter Number __" section listed on the first page of your bill. The solar credits will be listed as a Community Solar ID Credit. The number of kWh listed there represents the amount of solar energy that your share of our solar farm has produced over the past month.

Nexamps goal is to use these credits to cover roughly 90% of your utility costs throughout the year. In order to cover these costs, it is typical for our customers to produce more credits than what they need in the summer months when days are long and sunny, to still substantially reduce their utility costs in the winter when solar energy production is less. The excess credits that are generated in the summer months will remain on your Potomac ****** account and will be used during those months where your usage is greater than the energy credits generated by the solar farm. Due to the fluctuation in our solar production throughout the year, we recommend that you view your savings on an annual basis, rather than monthly.

Lastly, since Nexamp is supplying Potomac ******s grid with the electricity produced, they are the ones to determine the value of our solar credits. This is not something Nexamp can control, and is determined by adding the Generation, Transmission, and Distribution rates associated with your utility bill each month. Once Nexamp receives confirmation you received the solar credits, the invoice will reflect the value of such, but always at a 10% discount.

We can see that you have an ongoing conversation with our team, and we will be sure to personally follow up to make sure that your questions have been answered. We thank you for your time as a Nexamp Community Solar Subscriber and look forward to a resolution.

Nexamp has been everything that they promised they would be. After a couple minor billing glitches at the beginning, everything has run smoothly. There was a short learning process where I learned how to understand my ComEd bill, but since then I can clearly check to see that the credits have reduced my bill every month. Were happy to be a Nexamp customer.

      1) Advertised rate is fraudulent - they say minus 15% but neglect to tell you that their base rate is from ****** (much higher than here in *****)2) The billing is done by "generated" power - not usage - hard to understand and track (pay more in summer when they generate more and "bank" power for winter)3) How they calculate your need is way off the charts (ow they determine they generated need) charged me for > **** KWH, actual usage < 350 (2 months)4) Suspect that they charged me including my own solar generation instead of subtracting it NET: THE 2 MONTH CHARGE FROM nEXAMP WAS 4-5 TIMES HIGHER THAN CMP

      Hi ***,

Thank you for providing your feedback.

We are very much willing to work with you to make sure that your concerns are addressed. To do so, we will detail our responses to your statements in order:

      1.  Regarding your statement about our base rates, they are taken from your utility, Central ***** ****** standard pricing. While this can fluctuate throughout the year, this is taken directly from their system and is not something that Nexamp can control. Although our company is based in ******, the electricity rates there do not have an impact on what CMP is charging you. In an email correspondence that a member of our team had with you on 9/13, they sent you the formula that our team uses to value your credits, which is directly tied to your CMP rates. You are welcome to tailor it to your specific details if you want to confirm that the credits are calculated accurately.

      2.  You are correct in that the Nexamp invoices reflect the credits that were generated during the month, as opposed to what you used. In the summer months this means that you would likely receive credits in excess of your usage. These excess credits will be stored on your CMP account and can be used in the winter months when solar energy production is less than your monthly usage. We keep these seasonal changes in mind so that we can maximize your reductions throughout the year. We try our best to make this clear in our sign-up details and in the numerous emails we send to our customers when our solar farms go live and when credits begin being generated.

      3.  Regarding your later points, the design of our program is to help reduce utility costs for people who cannot use solar panels themselves. In the **************, the regulations allow for community solar subscribers to have personal rooftop solar panels and still be enrolled in community solar if desired.  With this said, Nexamp will only charge you for solar generation from your share of our solar farm, but at your allotted 15% discount. At the time of when you enrolled with Nexamp, we were expecting to cover a significant portion of your remaining electricity costs throughout the year. However, since it sounds like you now can offset most of your usage costs with your own panels, the savings are not as easily recognized, and we understand why you would no longer wish to be enrolled. This is why we strongly advise customers to always let us know if they plan to install panels or if they have drastic electricity usage changes.

We are sorry to hear that you werent completely satisfied with your experience, and hope the details provided are able to assist you in moving forward. Thank you for your time as a Nexamp community solar subscriber.

Very misleading information provided when signing up, claiming an overall cost savings around 15% on electric bill. The bill I received for the was astronomical and based on the previous electric bill averages, theres no way i would save money even if winter electric bill was cut to zero. Thankfully canceling was easy

Hi ********, thank you for sharing your feedback with Nexamp.

We are very sorry to hear that you were not completely pleased with your experience. Based on the details shared from your review, we unfortunately were not able to locate your Nexamp account. While we welcome the chance to speak with you further about your account, we will also provide some general information for you here.

As for our sign-up process, our team works very hard to document the logistics of our program as clearly as possible both in the contract you signed with Nexamp and in the numerous emails we send to all our customers when our solar farms go live and when credits begin being generated. We do our best to explain the program so that all consumers can make an educated choice on whether or not they sign-up for community solar.

When you first signed up with our program, we analyzed your usage and electricity costs to estimate a share size on our solar farm that should cover close to 90% of your utility costs for the year. To cover these costs, it is typical for our customers to produce more credits than what they need in the summer months when days are long and sunny, to substantially reduce their utility costs in the winter when solar energy production is less. The excess credits that are generated in the summer months will remain on your utility account and will be used during those months where your usage is greater than the energy credits generated by the solar farm.

Due to the fluctuation in our solar production throughout the year, we recommend that you view your savings on an annual basis, rather than monthly. If you feel that you are receiving too many credits for your needs, it is possible that your electricity usage has changed since the point of when you signed up. We are always willing to review your account and adjust as necessary so that the program works best for your needs.

We also understand that receiving a higher-than-expected bill for solar generation in the summer can be challenging. Therefore, Nexamp is certainly willing to work with you to align on a payment plan that works for both parties. We do not charge late fees or interest, and do not impact credit scores.

Lastly, we are a veteran-founded business committed to helping people decarbonize their life. We operate in numerous states and help tens of thousands of customers save money on their electricity bills every month. We are committed to providing the best service possible for all our customers, and always operate with integrity.

If you have additional questions regarding your Nexamp account, you can reach our support team at ************ or ********************************* We are available Monday-Friday from 8:30 AM 6:00 PM EST.

Fraud. I signed up for this service over a year ago. Just got their first invoice for $152.00, and my electric company CMP bill is the highest ever, $334.00. Where is the discount?I'm 68 years old on social security and live in a 2 room apartment. Sent a cancel notice to NexAmp, let's see how it goes.**** G

      Dear ****,

Thanks for your feedback. We would be happy to provide you with more information so you can learn about the benefits of our program.

First, is that while you signed up last year, our farm was not yet live and producing solar energy. Now that we are operating you have started to receive solar credits on your CMP bills.

Second, it is important to note that Nexamp does not make your utility costs more expensive, and instead we have designed our program to do just the opposite. The solar credits that you produce on our solar farm are used to reduce the amount of electricity owed back to CMP. You will be able to find these reductions listed in the form of kwh called Allocated Generation under the Your Generation Details section on page 2 of your utility bill.

As shown in your first Nexamp invoice, we reduced your CMP bill by 688 kWh, which the utility valued at $179.04. This means that your remaining CMP costs would have been that much more without our service. Since Nexamp applies a 15% discount to these credits, you saved about $27 for that month. If you have questions about high utility costs, we recommend reaching out to Central *********** directly for more information. They are the ones to provide your electricity and set the rates of such.

While we hope this explanation was useful, our team is here to support you with your Nexamp account as best you see fit. We want to ensure the program is working right for you so you can see savings.

Thank you for being a Nexamp Community Solar subscriber.
