    Verifacts keeps calling my place of business asking for employment verification. Stop harassing me and my place of employment

    We received a phone call from someone named ******************************* who did not give the name of her company who wanted to verify employment verbally. She was unhappy we do not give verification verbally and told her she would need to request in writing. The form she sent gave an incorrect name for the employee, a month/year date for DOB, and no requested documentation that the company was authorized to request the information. The employee has not applied for anything, and has signed no authorization for anyone to check her credit or verify her employment. ******************************** up on my HR staff member when asked to provide written authorization from the employee to check into her background.

    Verifacts has called me at my place of employment twice now, most recently today. I did not consent to this company calling my employers and asking about my personal information. I am asking that they stop and desist immediately. Whatever information they obtain should immediately be destroyed and deleted asap.

    Verifacts continues to call our business phone askingg for employees , they read of DOB and ask for SS numbers before you can even reply. They are tying up our business lines and I wish for them to stop calling, we can not give you information!

    Today Eve from Verifacts *************) called my office and the receptionist answered where *** immediately asked if she was ********************* and rattled off my date of birth. Under no circumstances is this company to call my place of employment nor myself to inquired about my personal information yet alone start rattling it off to a receptionist. You do not have permission to do so - You do not have consent. You need to cease and desist immediately.

    1/8/2024. I received a call at 12:45pm today at my place of employment. A lady start asking me to verify my DOB, employment, and SSN. I refused to answer any of her questions. When asked why she is calling asking me to verify my personal information she stuttered and then said Verifacts work with hundred of companies to gather information for background checks. I told her not to call my place of employment again. I will be filing a complain with BBB. Verifacts sound like a SCAM. Please beware and do not provide them with no information. I want them to NOT contact me again. This is horrible. I am a hard workingperson as well as other people. We have to deal with scammers trying to steal our personal information's.

    01/03/2024. I received a call from a former employer stating that verifacts has called several time attempting to verify employment but also asking for my DOB and SS#. This also has happened at my current employment. HR attempted to ask questions the nature of the call and ***** did not respond to her questions. No one from this business has contacted me directly and per The general rule under the Privacy Act is that an agency cannot disclose a record contained in a system of records unless the individual to whom the record pertains gives prior written consent to the disclosure.This is bases for a lawsuit. I do not give or nor have i given permission to give my information out to Verifact, LLC or to any customer of theirs.
