Our office did not purchase the debt. The balance remains owed to the original creditor. There would be no contract between our office and the consumer. System notes indicate that creditor records continue to show the balance as owed. We sent verification information to the consumer in June 2024. To date we have received no documentation from the consumer providing any information as to why the consumer believes that creditor information may be inaccurate. In early 2024 there was a billing problem with the ************************. Apparently, my credit card had expired so the monthly bill was not paid. I disputed with *** their insistence on charging me a new account set up charge. In any case, the amount due (a very small amount, roughly $200) was paid. I have called Caine & Weiner numerous times only to be sent to a voice mail where I left messages informing them this account was paid. NOBODY ever calls me back. Instead, Caine & Weiner continues to harass me with non stop emails and text messages to my private telephone. I want this to stop immediately. Also, I want assurance that they will clear any erroneous, derogatory entries on my credit report. Caine & Weiner are in violation of the ***** act and if they don't stop harassing me, I will be forced to take them to court demanding compensation for their outrageous illegal behavior.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because:The company's response is a continuation of its belligerence. Instead of prolonging this outstanding matter (which should have been resolved months ago), all CAINE & WEINER needs to do is place a phone call to their client, ******** Program who would confirm that this matter has been settled for some time. This would take very little initiative on the part of CAINE & WEINER but they obviously are a poorly run company that flagrantly disregards established standards and practices in its industry.
