    The consumer's provided information did not match records in our system.  The consumer's name, address provided, email, and telephone number does not match to any account in our system. If it is possible that the account was established under a previous address, that address would be helpful.  Our office wishes to assist the consumer in any way possible. We would ask that the consumer provide the full account referenced in the correspondence, name on the account, the name of the creditor, the balance showing as owed, our account number detailed via the credit bureaus, etc. so that we may properly identify the account and respond. Caine & Weiner is a debt collector that collects on behalf of numerous clients. The account is in reference to an automobile policy with Progressive. Our records indicate the initial letter was sent, August 11, 2021, to the address provided by our client. Validation will be requested today, October 27, 2023, and mailed to the address provided in the complaint.     I am rejecting this response because: as stated by the business The consumer's provided information did not match records in our system. The consumer's name, partial address provided, email, and telephone number does not match to any account in our system.
    This clearly states that they are unable to verify that this account belongs to me, as my name, address, email etc provided are the only accurate ones that belong to me. As they are unable to match an account using the information I provided, I demand this be removed from my credit report.

    We continue to want to help the consumer but need more details.  Did the consumer receive a letter from our office?  Date?  A phone call?  Was there any identifier of an account number in our system? Why do they believe Progressive is the creditor?  Do they know the balance owed?  Is there something on their credit report that they wish removed?     there is a collection account on my credit report for the amount of $257 that says the original debtor is Progressive  This account does not belong to me and needs to be removed from my report  the opened date is 2019-02-04

    My former landlord filed a collections through c&w for the most outrageous amount of $5000. For that amount you could remodel the whole studio apt.(tiny). Also had a $600 +/- sec. Deposit. I lived there for 8 yrs. Most things there were from the 70s. Plus state law states certain things like carpet are a write off (wear and tear) after 7 years. Not to mention carpet was stained when i moved in. Company has hurt my credit score and believed property mgmt. (who's infamous for this kind of stuff) with no facts and now have collections after me. Only had about $50 in fees. And a broken shower door that i was responsible for. Therefore my security deposit should have covered that. Please cease and desist.

    Prior to receipt of this complaint, our office had received no verbal or written correspondence from the consumer.   Our account status has been updated accordingly.     Hello,

    Recently Ive submitted a complaint in regards towards a debt collection and I was emailing in regards of that. I believe I was recently charged to cancel my policy but *** previously had Progressive before and *** never had a cancellation fee, Ive always had direct withdraw to pay off my insurance. So I am wondering why was the company after me when on their cancellation policy it specifies that I can cancel anytime with refunded money that I didnt receive.
    Below Ive attached the report Ive noticed on my credit report. My BBB complaint was assigned ID ********.

    This account is showing on my credit report although I was told if I pay the account in full it will be deleted from my credit report. I paid it in full on 05/20/2020 with this companys representative by the name of ****. I called again on 07/01/2023 at 2:23pm and spoke with Elexa from this company who confirmed that this account was supposed to be deleted from my credit report and she could not understand why it was still there and she said it was going to be taken care of. I called again on 08/05/2023 at 10:15am and spoke with Destiny who escalated it to a manager (*****************) to make sure its removed. This company has been playing this game with my credit report for years. I demain this to be removed from my credit report immediately. This collection has caused be a lot of problems when I cant get any kind of credit because of it. Again, I demand this account to be deleted from my credit or I will escalate this to a suit.
