    Sedgwick is the insurance provider for REMOVED. My husband and I purchased an Epic Pass last year for this coming season. I ended up getting pregnant and my doctor advised against skiing for the season as Id be far along by the time the season started and wouldnt advise skiing postpartum. Sedgwick asked for a doctors note to confirm my diagnosis, signed by my doctor. I provided this on 4 separate occasions, each time receiving an automated email confirming receipt of the note. After the 3rd attempt, I sent an email stating I would be reaching out to my bank to file a fraud alert. I then received an email stating they couldnt open the file I had sent, and requested a picture of it. I sent the picture back right away and asked for a timeline for my refund. No response was provided, and a week later they closed my refund request due to documents not being received. I then notified them I would be filing a formal complaint and reaching out to my bank, because at this point Ive fulfilled their requests 4 separate times with none of the promised action on their part.

    Sedgwick is a joke. I've been asking for someone to call such as a manager for over a week and no one has called. Deceitful practices and horrific customer service.

    I am on a medical LOA. This company refuses to reply to any comments without waiting till the next day on average. I've called and I've messaged them multiple times for help and for whatever reason they refuse. I am trying to get clear and correct answers from them and they are doing their best to beat around the REMOVEDand not respond in time. This is already cost me over $1,000 in pay. I've asked very simple questions like what is required for my LOA and all I get is texts with very vague answers, refusing to reach out to me by phone.

    A Budget Truck hit my house on Jan 14, 2025 at 7:28 am. Sedgwick is the claim handler. I have been pushed aside, ignored and generally they decided to try to get me to sign a paper releasing numerous businesses and accept a bit over $13,000, not enough to fix the foundation, in fact they offered more to fix yard damage then to fix house and inside property damage.I have complained numerous times about aggravation to my spinal column and to my husband's neck, I will get a contact email then nothing. (If they claim to mail it, they have never once requested my mailing address, we do not receive mail at our home).I have contacted the Board of REMOVED/Budget only to receive another no from Sedgwick.     I've been requesting contact from a manager/supervisor or higher about my REMOVEDclaims. I've attempted many times to this set up but keep getting denied because of the timing. I am a combat veteran wounded warrior who has been determined by the REMOVED/military/government totally and permanently disabled. I have to fill out paperwork by the VA 2 times a year and re-live/visit the trauma that caused this. I have no control over the availability nor the length of these 2 hr appt. If there is a change or non-availability of a provider, it will also change the appt. Not to mention the 3 hr round trip to the VA that causes a full day off of work. All I get is its federal and it's the rule and the wording in the rules state that you can, not have to have someone do this but anyway this is more about how I am treated during these calls. Again, I do not control the schedule of the VA and sending the REMOVEDthe paperwork does not work no matter how many times your employee says it to me. Also telling me that my total and permanent disability is not my opinion and I have the paperwork to prove it plus my awards for combat and my DD214 with orders to the Army Wounded Warrior unit and the discharge codes. I don't appreciate the disrespect shown towards me challenging what happened to me during my service. Shame on you all for this process and disrespect shown toward veterans and anyone else dealing with such things from this business

    I am rejecting this response because:  I still need never received contact from a supervisor or a manager, and it had nothing to do with REMOVED. I contacted Sedgwick directly several times.  In the question or the issued hand had nothing to do with laws it had to do with morality Or following through with what is right not what is legal. So let me emphasize. I never received a call back that was requested from a supervisor or a manager. In this response echoes the same issue Im having with your company.

    An employee of a company insured by REMOVED, driving a company truck on the clock in the performance of his job, struck my parked car, incurring several thousand dollars worth of damage. As soon as I received the insurance information, I began regularly contacting the agent with Sedgwick. For over 6 weeks, the agent failed to return my voice mails or respond to my emails. The emails are of course date and time stamped, and I record all of my incoming and outgoing calls, so I have ample record of leaving voice mails with my name, correct telephone number, and correct claim number. After over a month of ignoring me completely, Sedgwick informs me I will have to cover some of the repair shop's storage fees resultant from the excessive stay caused by Sedgwick's abject failure in communicating with me or responding to my voicemails and emails. I also left messages with the agent's manager, who also failed to contact me back at any point. I acted in good faith and superhuman patience over the last several weeks, and Sedgwick has only exhibited bad faith and utter failure in its obligation to respond to me in a timely manner.

    I requested a paper check be sent for the Midea AC recall on July 18. At that time, I was told the check would be sent in 2-3 weeks. I called last week and was told my request for a paper check had not been processed and there was no estimate on when Id receive my refund. Its almost a month later, no check still for a default product after I followed all proper steps to obtain the refund. Send the check for tue recall refund asap.

    This response is comical. 

    Did the company even read my complaint?

    This complaint is in regards to Sedgwick not sending me prompt payment in the form of a paper check for a defective Midea Air Conditioner. 

    BBB complaint was filed because Sedgwick has purposefully delayed processing payment (for a recalled AC) in the form of a paper check Ive yet to receive, and attempts to get a response or answers from the company via phone or email directly have failed.

    If the company doesnt want consumer complaints filed, it would behoove you to promptly and professionally answer all questions from consumers and not blow them off.

    I still have not received payment for the defective AC despite following all steps to submit my claim properly.

    Fraudulent Delay and Denial of Disability Benefits by Sedgwick CMS Complaint Description:I am filing this complaint against Sedgwick CMS, the third-party claims administrator for the County of REMOVED, for intentionally and egregiously delaying and denying my workers compensation and disability benefits since 2022.I suffered a major bodily injury during the course of my employment with the County of REMOVED, which ultimately required brain surgery in January 2025. A medical device was surgically placed in my brain due to the severity of my condition. Despite the serious and well-documented nature of my injury, Sedgwick CMS and their legal representatives have repeatedly failed to approve or pay for my necessary medical care and disability benefits.Their conduct includes:Ignoring or delaying responses to medical documentation,Issuing fictitious or unnecessary deposition notices to delay the case,Refusing to pay legitimate and urgent medical bills,Fraudulently denying disability benefits that I am rightfully entitled to under state law.I have endured significant physical, emotional, and financial distress as a result of these deliberate delays and bad faith actions.     I am rejecting this response because: Sedgwick CMS has been administrating this case since 2022. There is a pending W/C's case with mountain of evidence with this injury and lack of their cooperation. Their agents and attorneys are fully aware of this claim and keep postpending and delaying this claim in order for me to drop the case.  Their claim for not finding this claim is absolutely false and ambiguous.

    My wife has been on a paid leave since November of 2024. Sedgwick has been the ABSOLUTE worst experience that we could ever have imagined in dealing with pay and income while on a stress leave from work! She has been dealing with an incompetent case examiner named REMOVEDwho has given the worst customer service weve ever dealt with. She does not return calls promptly, gives incorrect information, And lacks empathy! This stress leave for my wife intensified in working with Sedgwick when it comes to stress and finances. She has been patient and its honestly the worst experience anyone can have while out of work on a STRESS LEAVE, may I add again! Her doctor has been giving every documentation that theyve asked for and even he stated that hes never had a patient go through such events while out on a leave. The uncertainty and unprofessionalism is what takes this to another level! On 4/7/2025, she called in for her case worker, REMOVED, and was yet again given the run around about proper documentation when her doctor sent everything they asked for and REMOVEDstated that nothing else was needed on a previous call. She Called 6 times the week of 4/14 and no response from case manager, REMOVED, and when she asked for a supervisor again, she was told that the supervisor was unavailable and would call her back and never got a called back. So on 4/18/2025, She Spoke to REMOVEDand was being pushed off on a manager, REMOVEDsaid the case manager, REMOVED, had not been in the office all week. Now, all other supervisors that she talked to this week had been transferring her to Lucindas line while the phone disconnects after so many rings only for REMOVEDto tell her that she hasnt been in all week. Its almost as if they are toying with REMOVEDpay; its unacceptable. She NEVER got paid from Sedgwick since February and is now back at work still struggling to catch up on REMOVEDare now in July and still reaping the casualties of Sedgwick. We believe this is unjust and wrong!
