We bought an Ego weed trimmer in Spring of 2022. In June of 2023, the trimmer quit working. We called Ego Customer Support and they told ** to take the trimmer to the repair shop they required. The repair shop ****** ******* was in *********, ****** which is 35 miles from our home. We took the trimmer to the repair shop on July 7, 2023. The repair shop determined that replacement parts were needed. The repair shop called Ego and the replacement parts were sent to the repair shop. The repair shop replaced the parts on our trimmer and the trimmer still did not work. The repairman called Ego and told them that the trimmer was not fixable and Ego agreed to send us a new trimmer. After contracting ********************* we were told that a new trimmer would be sent. On July 31, 2023, we were told that it would take 2-3 weeks before the order for a new trimmer could be processed. We were told that the reason it takes 2-3 weeks is that the order has to be approved by upper management. At this point I asked for a supervisor to contact me. On August 2, 2023, I received a call and email from *****, a supervisor for Ego Customer Support. He asked that I contact him through email. I have done so several times. After the first contact, he answered one time that he has not heard anything. He has not returned any emails. I then tried calling Ego Customer Support again and talked to *******. She informed me that she was unable to check the status of my order and said her supervisor would be in at 12:00 pm that day and would call with an update. No call was ever made. I have called every week since then and am on hold for over an hour with no one taking the call. They have the option of leaving your number and they will call you back. No Answer. I used my husband's phone also to try to get a call back. Nothing. Ego Case Number is ********. Product Name: ST1500SF Ego String Trimmer. Product SN: NST11204232445X. Thank you.

I have a battery under warranty that is defective. Battery flashes 1 red light and will not reset. I have called Ego 3 days straight with voice mail and no call back for replacement. The battery was given as a gift like many other Ego products. I also reached out through ******** and complained. They refused to to fix or replace battery under their WARRANTY.

On June 8 I called EGO customer support because my mower was making a squealing noise when I used the traction setting (rear wheel drive). They asked me to send a video, which I did. After reviewing the video they told me to take it to a repair shop they recommended. The shop charged a $30 deposit in case it was not covered by warranty. A few days later the shop said the noise was normal and was not covered by warranty. I called EGO to ask them to refund me the $30. I would not have taken the mower to the shop if they had told me the noise was normal, and if they had not told me to take it to the shop. They said they would not refund, so I asked to speak to a supervisor. The supervisor said they would refund it, but the refund never came. I spent the next several weeks trying to get the refund. Finally on August 29 they told me they would not refund my money. The supervisor who had told me I would get a refund had had a disagreement with the company and no longer worked for them. I have attached a more complete history of this issue, including the many calls I made, their many promises to call back which they did not always do. I got the feeling they were hoping I would give up. .

I purchased the mower on February 27, 2023.The cost was $849.00 before tax. The mower worked until July 1, 2023. I opened a ticket with Ego customer support on July 15, 2023. *** attempted to troubleshoot the issue with me. Troubleshooting was ultimately unsuccessful. ***'s solution to the problem is for me to drive the mower to a repair shop and fix the mower at Ego's cost. There are two main issues with this solution. 1. I drive a compact car, and I cannot fit the mower into my car to transport it to the repair shop. 2. I called the repair shop. They told me they're so backed up with repairs that they cannot even look at my mower until the end of October. That's after the growing season. I told Ego this is too much of a hassle for a $850 mower that only worked for 4 months. I asked for a refund. They told me they don't issue refunds. They don't have alternative solutions to solve my problem.I've now spent $150 year to date on a lawn service to mow my lawn while my mower is broken. I want Ego to issue a refund. It's not acceptable that I paid $850 for a broken lawn mower. I feel defrauded. There are other ancillary concerns. Ego customer service tells me they will call me back, and then they don't. They tell me that my case is escalated, and then they never contact me. I've spent hours and hours trying to resolve this, and they finally told me today that I'm just out of luck. Ego products have a good reputation. I think I just got a lemon. It happens. But they took my money, and I feel totally abandoned.

I began a warranty claim with Ego Power for my misting fan on 6/28/23. Claim # ********. I took the unit to one of the authorized repair shops. The shop asked me to leave the battery with them as they had just began doing repairs for EGO and did not have a supply of batteries. shop stated they would call me the following Tuesday. They did not. I called the shop for an update-stated the pump was ordered. I then had to return to the shop to pick up my battery so I could mow my lawn-my lawnmower is also an Ego and uses the same battery. After several days of waiting, I called Ego for a status update on the ordered pump. *** stated they did not have an order request from the repair shop. They advised that they would need to escalate the case and that a supervisor would call me. They didn't. I made no fewer than 4 calls the following weeks to Ego, each time I was told a supervisor would call me. They never did. Nor the repair shop. I finally got a hold of the ** of the repair shop and he advised me that the unit would be ready that afternoon, however, the unit now has a leak and they will order the part (unit was not leaking before).I picked up the unit and yes, the pump works but it is in fact leaking now and they did not repair the release switch for the battery. That was almost 3 weeks ago-no updates from the shop. I again called EGO yesterday,8/17 requesting to speak with a manager to either provide me with a refund or a new unit. I was advised that they would call me but of course, nothing. This claim was submitted 6/28, I have made 3 separate trips to this repair shop, and have gone through most of the summer without my fan or not working properly. Ego Power's warranty is useless if a customer has to go through and endure this type of frustration and energy for a warranty repair. It is also clear to me that Ego has not vetted these independent repair shops.

I purchased a Skil reciprocating saw (RS582901) in July/Aug 2020 from Menards, since then I have used it on two small projects and it is in mint condition. When I went to use it on my most recent project, it wouldnt run despite the battery being fully charged. The only thing that happens is a flash light flashes repeatedly. I called customer service and they said it would have to be serviced. Since I didnt have the receipt and the warranty is 3 years without immediate registration, they claim it is out of warrany (probably by less than a month) and since it is out of warranty there was nothing they would do about it. I will submit a picture of it to show its immaculate condition, it is like brand new, it has been used twice. The fact that they can put a product out that will break from sitting on a shelf is ridiculous, my best guess is this model has many defective units and they are unwilling to address the issue.

Purchased a EGO 21 Inch Power Plus Mower kit complete with Battery (10Ah Capacity) and charging stand at ****** in ********** on April 10th, 2021. I was a happy customer with the product until the battery failed and began leaking Lithium Dioxide and had to replace the battery. $500 later, I only then discovered that despite not having my receipt on person, EGO Power Plus would afford me a one time "exception" to replace the battery given the manufacturer's date of October 2020 and being within 3 years of that date but would then void out my warranty on the other products. I found this unsatisfactory given the logical timeline being that the entire kit was purchased together and couldn't possibly be outside warranty. Plus I had already purchased a replacement battery for $500 and couldn't return given it was already opened. I also had spent $850 on the mower itself as well as a string trimmer for my yardwork as well complete with a battery for an additional $400. I feel as though its unjust given these facts and that I cannot return the purchased replacement battery for the bad one and would like to propose a fair and equitable return.A) I request the company issue me a new mower and charging stand and the deal be squared up ($350 equal value)OR B) I request the company to refund me the $500 I had already paid for the replacement battery as a fair equitable trade for the battery they would've already replaced.Had I known that they offered an exemption for warranty replacement based on manufacturer's date, I would have attempted that approach before I went out and bought a new one knowing I had no receipt for the purchase on hand. If they'd just spell that out to their customers on the product packaging, it would be better serving the consumer and company collectively given the alternative.Attached is the receipt of purchasing the replacement battery for proof. I'd like a refund of this amount or a replacement mower and charging stand alternatively.

In May 2023 I took my Ego string trimmer to an Ego authorized repair shop. After trying to repair it with parts sent from Ego the shop determined that the trimmer could no be repaired. They said Ego would be replacing the trimmer as it was still under warranty. In July I received a new trimmer from Ego. It not only was not the same model as the one it was replacing, but the line will not advance. I have contacted Ego several times and have been told my claim will be escalated to management and they will contact me. No one contacts me, but I have called several times. Finally today I was told there is nothing that can be done because Ego only allows a one time replacement. There is no email or number other than the one number to call and the people on the other end keep saying the same thing. Nothing can be done. This is not right. I deserve to have a working string trimmer since my original is still under warranty and I was sent a defective inferior trimmer.
