I purchased a POWERLOAD 56-volt 15-in Split Shaft Battery String Trimmer on-line from Lowes on/around April 12, 2021. The battery warranty is for 3 years and the trimmer for 5 years. I filed a claim around June 10th and I was told to contact ***** for a purchase receipt and that ***** could go back as far as 5 years to retrieve a receipt. I contacted Lowes for a receipt but was told that they could only retrieve receipt back to June 2021 but my purchase was made in April 2021. I sent a photo of my passed purchases from Lowes to EgoPowerPlus and was told that I still needed a receipt from Lowes that I cannot get. I need my grass trimmer replaced as agreed.Initial Complaint

I bought a cordless weed eater and it was missing the battery in the Box it had the weed eater they're charging station and no battery and I am fighting with this company about replacing a battery That was supposed to be in the Box to begin with. I want my battery replaced immediately so I can use the weed eater we are senior citizens and this is a very good source of us to do our gardenInitial Complaint

I purchased a SKIL combo drill driver and impact drill on 5/19/25 at ******. I charged the battery overnight and the next day the battery only lasted about 45 seconds. I them contacted customer service to take advantage of their warranty but the representative denied any warranty due to me purchasing this drill set while it was on clearance at Lowes. The SKIL representative went on to inform me that it says in their warranty that clearance tools are disqualified from their warranty. She then told me that I can read their warranty on their website at will state as she said. I read their warranty on the SKIL website as instructed and read their warranty several times and at no time did it mention anything about clearance items being restricted from their warranty. I called SKIL back and their second representative agreed with me that the previous representative was uninformed about their warranty process but went on to Warranty the battery. She then said that she would request and excavation to a supervisor so that I could put in a complaint. Later on in the day I got a call from the skill supervisor which they claimed that they where gonna review that call where I was denied warranty and they would follow up later that day. Immediately after hanging up with that supervisor I get an email from the supervisor offering me a t-shirt of a koozie. This supervisor had no intention on listening to the recording of that call and offering me a koozie is not resolving the situation. I wasted a lot of time due to an uniformed employee at SKIL . SKIL has no customer service and for a battery to be no good right out of the box is ridiculous.Initial Complaint

I bought a lawn mower September of 2024. ***** had 3year warranty on battery and Charger. I only used the Mower once in 2024. In 2025 I went to mow my yard and mower would not run. I called tech support and troubleshot over the phone..it was determined that the battery was bad! They sent me a new battery. I placed the new battery on the charger and both worked fine! THEN the next time I went to charge the battery the charger would not work! I called tech support a second time and it was determined that the ******* had gone bad! *** ************** said the warranty would not be honored because they sent a new battery even through both have a 3 year warranty! Their products are apparently garbage and should not be selling them ripping people off and they don't honor their own warranties..Initial Complaint

Bought an EGO lawn mower from Lowes August 16, 2023. Model #LM2167SPwith a 2 year warranty. On or before March 14, 2025 mower would not stay started so I reached out to ******************** to file warranty. *** sent me to warranty shop. upon arrival to warranty shop was advised that this was an issue with this model and shop would request a new mower to be sent to my location. Received an email that the replacement was approved and mower was sent. Mower arrived in ******* CA on March 29, 2025.However, there was an issue with the label. contacted *** customer service and advised that *** had notified that label was wrong and asked to have EGO reach out to them to correct. Contacted ******************** numerous times was promised a call back twice. never happened. Reached out to Lowes and advised of situation, agent at Lowes called EGO to see what could be done. The customer service agent from *** advised again that I would receive a call within ***** hours to speak with a supervisor. again never happened. On April 14, 2025 reached out to EGO again, spoke with two supervisors who advised they would take care of the issue. Nothing has happened since. Attempted to contact EGO Support on April 21, 2025 when contact was made customer service agent was sent to another agent. Left 2 call back numbers, have not heard a thing. Due to the lack of understanding and commitment to customer service I would like a full refund.Initial Complaint

There was a recall for the battery for my Skil lawnmower. The process was started over a month ago on March 6th. As of now I still have not received my replacement battery and it appears that it was never even shipped. My lawn is way too long and I need to mow it. I can't without the battery. It should have been shipped to me over 2 weeks ago and should have arrived by now. This poor performance of the recall has been unacceptable. It should not take this long. I'm regretting having participated in it. They should have sent me the replacement as soon as they had confirmation that the old battery was shipped. I've called twice about it and it still apparently has not been shipped. The "customer support" has not been helpful at all and seem unwilling to provide any customer support.Initial Complaint

*** is aware of our correspondence on ******** messenger. They can look up the numerous back and forth conversation ( I also have 18 screenshots of it all I can include if needed) I messaged them about my battery being very hot while storing it in our house (we live in ******* and keep all batteries inside). The issue was thought to be because the battery sat idle for 30 days and then started discharging itself. It only sat for a week so that was not the actual issue they stated. *** kept asking questions and had me file my warranty info correctly (mind you this was a gift from a 78 year old and I had to continually bother them to send order information, pics, etc... After a very long conversation they said they would send out a new battery for safety reasons. Then all of sudden needed even more information. I did not demand a new battery in the first place, they said they would send one out and now they won't send it without even more information after telling me they were shipping one out that day. I told them I am done bothering the person who bought it for me for additional information. This complaint is now my record in case this battery were to start a fire in our home. All they had to do was simply do what they said they were going to do and now they will not.Customer Answer

*** has a 5 year warranty on all residential power tool products. The CS1800 chainsaw was first manufactured in 2020 so all units should be within warranty. I purchased mine on ****** on December 18, 2023, just over a year ago. It stopped working recently on the 3rd use so I called Ego to file a warranty claim. They are denying the claim since it wasn't purchased from an "authorized reseller". It was purchased as a brand new in box item within the 5-year warranty.Initial Complaint

I received a recall notice on a battery pack for my SKIL lawn equipment. I have sent 3 emails to this company and have not got a response back. The recall states the battery pack can catch fire, which is very dangerous. I refuse to use my recalled battery on my lawn equipment and without a safe replacement battery I cannot use my lawn equipment. Come on Chevron North America help your customers out. Do you really want your customers to continue using your defective battery that may cause harm.
