MY OSF DOCTOR ************** GAVE ME A WRITTEN REFERRAL TO GO TO ***** AND ***** SHOULD OF COLLECTED THE $275 TWO YEARS AGO. FINALLY, ***** AND H&R ACCOUNTS CANNOT TRY AND CREATE FALSE BILLS THAT ARE FRAUD. IF NEEDED, I WILL TAKE LEGAL ACTION AGAINST ***** AND H&R ACCOUNTS. I HAVE ATTACHED THE $275 BILL TO MY BBB COMPLAINT.

      "H&R Accounts (H&R) acknowledges receipt of the Better Business Bureau Complaint ID #******** filed by the consumer on 10/27/22. Our investigation confirms the existence of one account matching the information provided in the complaint. However, due to a host of consumer protection laws governing our industry and because our response will become part of a public-facing forum for BBB complaints, disclosure of protected health information to address allegations will follow the minimum necessary standard. The consumers account was listed with our office on 10/13/22, for services rendered on or about 11/01/20, by ***** **************** Upon placement, H&R mailed an initial collection notice to the consumer at the address listed by the consumer in this complaint. This notice contained the required validation language, and did not came back to H&R as undelivered.This complaint is the first correspondence received directly or indirectly from the consumer. H&R is treating this complaint as a formal dispute, and H&R has investigated the concerns raised. The consumer alleges they had medical insurance coverage for the date of service and wants insurance to pay the bill. H&R neither confirms nor denies the consumers eligibility or adjudication of insurance for the services rendered. We do not perform insurance eligibility, billing, or follow-up services as part of our normal collection process. However, in response to the consumers allegations, H&R spoke to our client about this matter. Our client stated that the consumers insurance was billed in a timely manner and they left the balance as patient responsibility. As with any insurance-related matters, the consumer and/or insurance subscriber needs to follow up directly with the insurance provider regarding insurance coverage concerns. H&R has marked the account disputed and will mail the results of its investigation to the consumer.       H&R Accounts ("H&R")acknowledges receipt of the consumer's rebuttal for Better Business Bureau Complaint #********. The findings of our original investigation were previously communicated along with the actions taken in response. H&R has investigated the debt with our client who has confirmed the debt is correct and owing as the consumers active insurance with ********** and Blue Shield at the time was billed properly. Our client states they are unable to bill Health Alliance as the policy was not effective for this date of service. As with any insurance-related matters, H&R refers the consumer and/or insurance subscriber to follow up directly with the insurance provider regarding insurance coverage concerns. Per the consumer's request they will not receive any further communication from our office regarding this account.

      THANK YOU BBB FOR YOUR HELP I RECEIVED A ZERO BALANCE RECEIPT IN THE MAIL FROM H&R ACCOUNTS AS THEY HAVE RECEIVED $275 FROM MY INSURANCE CARRIER AND THERE IS NO NEGATIVE CREDIT BUREAU REPORTING AS WELL.
