      **************** reps are kind but they do not give clear answers or follow through on what they say they will do. When someone has a newborn at home they should not have to jump through hoops to get leave approved. The delay and incompetency has delayed my pay and put my family in a hard spot.

      Alight is hot garbage, I tried to pull a hardship withdrawal leading up to the closing date to buy my house. I was trying to pull $2k and they asked for just the contract. My loan officer sent it and they responded with your paperwork is insufficient. I had my loans officer on a3 way call and he even asked them what was missing on the contract, they couldn't give an answer. They lie constantly and then wanna charge me for a loan to take out my money. Makes zero sense. Jobs need to stop using alight cause now I'm seeing they are nothing but liars and thieves. There most likely a cover for something else.

      I wish I could give a Zero to not-so-SmartChoice Accounts. WHY would you ever Charge to use my money that I worked and paid for! This is Shameful and IRS should look into your business practices. I'm not surprised Smart-Choice Accounts is not ******************** accredited! Employers need to beware!

      We moved to Alight from Fidelity after a merger, and almost everyone is unhappy with the change. The website is minimally populated, and their processes are archaic. You cannot a mailing address or a bank account without a ***** hold. Fidelity didn't require this. Getting anything done through Alight requires waiting for postal mail to arrive. They have a Secure Mailbox in their website, but they insist on mailing the same forms that they could've just let me download. Thankfully after the merger, I was able to get most of my money out, but it took 3 weeks to do so. Unfortunately, I don't have a choice with new contributions. If we don't move off of Alight soon, I'll probably just leave the company or become an independent contractor, just to get rid of them. I regret that I cannot rate them lower than 1 star.

      This company is horrible!! If your organization uses Alight, do not file SDI. Use your own sick time! They will tie up your pay for months with trivial excuses for denying your claim. This should be illegal.

      I wish I could give them -5 starts. Like the other reviews - their website is impossible. The support people are incompetent. Dump them as soon as you can.And - once you leave an employer that uses them - you have the legal right to transfer your HSA funds to any other HSA company!

      I am a former Medtronic employee. Alight manages the retirement accounts for Medtronic. I have been trying for almost 6 months to get my retirement HSA account funded with the money due from Medtronic. I have spoken with 6 different Alight representatives. Two have escalated the request for funds. Promises of updates and call backs from the employees are never fulfilled. You have to start over each time you call in and work your way through the prompts to get to a representative. As of May 31st, I have no resolution to the request for the funds that are due to me. Is anyone interested in taking legal action against Alight?

      They will not tell you how to file a claim!!! I tried to use my card but it was denied so I paid out of pocket. I have tried for months to submit the receipts. I have called multiple times hoping to reach an agent that actually tries to resolve the issue, but haven't been able to reach anyone to help. They owe me $850+ for covered services and refuse to answer simple reimbursement questions. I'm leaving 1 Star because there's not a zero. At this point, I have been hung up on 3 times (oh I'm so sorry your call was dropped), but they never return the call or try to reach out in any way. I will be filing a BBB complaint, as well as a formal complaint with the insurance commissioner.

      Worst customer service I have experienced in years. Am not able to contact my employer portal due to a change in my phone number for verification. Employer was not able to help and suggested I try to contact Alight corporate office. 1st call - started to explain my issue, was interrupted to ask which employer, and was transferred without another word to the number I have been having trouble with. Called back, got another person who did the exact same thing - transferred me to the number I can't get through to. Called back again, by chance I got the same person on the phone. I started by asking "please don't transfer me, I cannot get through that number for (employer)Benefits that I get transferred to." She immediately raised her voice in a very angry tone that "this is the corporate office, you need to talk to the employer benefits center." To which I replied "Please don't raise your voice at me, I know that's who I need to talk to, I've been trying to contact them for over a week and haven't been able to get past..." at that point I was cut off and transferred to the same number again. As soon as I'm able to access my account I will be transferring all my assets out immediately, even if I have to drive to the office in person since I can't get through to anyone who gives a s**t on the phone or website. A company that employs people who act that unprofessionally doesn't get to play with my money, and I will be sure to let everyone I know about it also, and will be posting this review/complaint in as many places as I can find online!

      They really deserve no star! This company is ridiculous. I got a new account somewhere else and requested my funds to be transferred to my new account three months and still they haven't transferred my funds. Every time I call customer service they keep giving me the run around about there system update and can't get information to my account tell me they call me back but no call back. No idea what they did with my funds can't pay my medical bills. Horrible company... Beware!
