State Farm is a trash insurance company. I had problem with a claim. So I was speaking with Stacey *****, she did not understand the issue completely. I asked to speak with her supervisor who may understand better, she hung up on me. I then called back and spoke with Crystal *****, I asked for a phone number or email for Stacey *****s supervisor or manager Ken ****** & was told they were not allowed to give me contact info to a manager or supervisor. When I asked Crystal ***** to transfer me to Ken ******, she also hung up on me.
HOW SHADY IS YOUR COMPANY IF YOUR LOWER LINE EMPLOYEES NEED TO ACT AS A FIREWALL TO THE UPPER MANAGEMENT?!?!?!? Would not insure my vehicle with State Farm.

I hit something at night a month ago and my car had to go to the mechanic. State Farm would only approve new parts for specific parts and used ( not refurbished) parts for other items. State Farm denied one of the parts to be new even thought it states in the BMW guidelines that this must be replaced with a new part for safety reasons. After the shop has gone through two used parts we are still battling with them to not only approve the new part but also extend my rental car because it's due to them that this has taken so long. The OEM part has been available for weeks but they refuse to pay for it. So now, after being a customer for over 20 years I have to pay out of pocket for a rental car and hope they will now approve the new part per the supplement request submitted by the shop. Why are they ok to install subpar parts into a car when it could cause my car to lose control of the steering and they are risking my life. I already agreed to pay above the allotted amount for another part due to safety reasons. I'm not asking for all of the parts be new but only the ones that are stated in the safety guidelines.

Very BAD SERVICE .. I have had State Farm for 15 years and never made a claim - I was in an accident 11/4 and today is 11/16 ( my car has been sitting at the dealer and Estimate submitted to State Farm ) and they still have not even responded.. I have made 8 phone calls - I have had a rental car that they are not paying for for 12 days ( 2K cheapest one so far to date) and still nothing .. I only know this ... I will never CHOOSE State Farm Insurance for anything EVER ( higher premiums DO NOT MEAN better service ) What a joke ..

State Farm does not live up to their slogan of “like a good neighbor…” where they spend millions of $$ advertising. Their code of conduct says they pride themselves in having integrity; not at all.
I got hit by a State Farm insured driver—I will spare you the details, but long story short, the police report clearly stated that their driver was at fault and even received a citation at the scene. I’m not a State Farm customer, I have ****; much better company.
So, I get a call from them and the rep was so unprofessional, their customer service is subpar. They kept arguing that their reason for denying my claim against their driver was that I don’t have evidence…. What? So, I researched what a police report is, and I found out that it is critical evidence in an accident. The rep says the police report doesn’t matter because the police did not witness the accident…. Well, no ??…. Hence the police report. Then the rep says the burden of proof falls with them.
I’m still fighting this, but please don’t get hit by someone with State Farm insurance, they are not a good neighbor. Shady practices and poor customer service with disrespectful reps. Rep even hung up on me. ??

I am very disappointed in State Farm's policy regarding shingle color match. Specifically, their interpretation of what is "reasonably comparable" color match of shingles. My contractor did as he was instructed and provided pictures of "comparable" shingles. It was obvious that they did not match. State Farm insisted that we repair part of the roof and then they would determine if there was a "comparable" color match of shingle. In my mind I had two options; repair part of my roof and risk having two colors of shingles (not an acceptable option in my mind) or not repair the valleys on my roof that State Farm documented were damaged by hail (also not acceptable in my mind). I have been a loyal State Farm customer for over 30 years. I have never had a homeowner claim. This is not as I expected to be treated by a company who has openly accepted my premium payments equaling thousands of dollars. Any suggestions on Homeowner Insurance Companies that are willing to work with their customers?

The way they do business is the worst I have ever had to deal with when you call for a quote they give a reasonable quote to get you to join and then after 1st payment you don’t get a phone call you a letter saying they misquoted and your premiums are raised much higher it seems to be the biggest con of insurance companies and should be stoped don’t do business with State Farm

We dropped the ball on this customer and have been trying to reach him. I want to apologize for the experience he has had with us. It is NOT the norm and want to make this right. We had two calls from him that we missed (one was missed due to a simple error we made but the other was someone not doing their job and is very unusual for that team member). We (leadership) have been trying to reach him since getting this feedback. We take it very seriously.
To be sure: neither my agency nor State Farm ever quotes someone with the expectation that the premiums will be different once issued. Sometimes new information during the underwriting affects the rates and we call to explain or clarify the discrepancy. We are sincerely sorry for the frustration this has caused him and are addressing it to make sure to avoid this in the future. Thank you!

So far I haven't had to report any claims on my truck or renters insurance so I can't comment on that aspect. I am however happy with the premiums. I e thing I can note is that their weekend roadside assistance customer service is absolutely horrible! It took forever to speak to an actual person and when I did there was a huge language barrier! Was on the phone for an hour just trying to get a darn tow truck!

Horrible claim experience. My accident happened 10/20/22. My car was taken to a lot to get it off the highway. State Farm said it would be picked up the next morning. It sat at that lot for almost a week. I get it moved to one body shop. A virtual inspection was done and an estimate was created. But this shop wasn’t comfortable with all the repairs so I had the car sent to ******** to do the work. The car sat at the first shop for a little under a week. I called almost everyday getting a new excuse everyday. The car was finally picked up, only to sit at ******** since 11/2. I started calling daily to get updates and to figure out what needs to happen. One rep had me set up a new in person estimator last Friday 11/4. It is now Friday one week later. I have called everyday to confirm that this appointment would happen and also requested to be notified when in route so I can come along. Only to find out today (a week later) that the process was setup wrong and there will be NO ESTIMATOR going out. So I am back to square one. Car is still sitting. All in all the car has been sitting untouched since 10/21/22 until now 11/11/22. On top of that my rental runs out in 4 days. I have been told 5 different things for one scenario and every new call I’m being asked “why did they tell you that; that’s not accurate; we can’t do that; you can’t do that; etc”. It’s been a circus for the past month!!! I was told multiple times “we can’t call you back” if i had a request or a question that went unanswered. Then I’m told “we do call back, who told you that?!” It’s been a constant run around for a month!! Unacceptable!!! This is too big of a company for the employees to be ignorant of the processes and untrained. I asked to speak to managers on several occasions and was denied. I haven’t spoken to one manager in a month. Requested one manager to call me back and a claims representative called me back! Unacceptable!!

I'm so glad they did what they did as if it would hurt me. I recieved an email stating they were going to drop me because I didn't allow them to add my 18 yr old daughter on my policy, when I only call to get a quote of how much it would be to add her. My policy payment is due on Nov.15 today is the 13th. Lol . Then they kept trying to go up on my amount every three months for no reason at all. Thanks they did me a favor. Off to find a cheaper rate with better service. No referrals from me and money either. They deserve 0 stars. This is unheard of. I wish I could post the email!
