Please avoid this business. They told me I had to pay an almost 50% increase in a premium because of changes to the policy I NEVER AUTHORIZED. When I found out that my original policy amount was available, I called to check into a refund. They refused to refund the difference, canceled my policy, and still 30 days later have not refunded my premium.

State Farm homeowners insurance denied my claim and I have a hole in my roof . They claim the shingles had been missing from 2018 . In 2018 they denied claim . Stating it wasn’t enough shingles missing to file a claim . I pay to much in insurance premiums for them not to cover damages . Now I half to come up with the money to get a new roof . What is the point of having insurance if it’s pointless anyways

this is actually the first one I’ve ever written—but my experience has been so frustrating that I feel it’s necessary to share.
This entire situation started back in April when my family and I tried to cancel our plan after finding lower rates with another company. My father called multiple times and was given contradictory instructions each time. Because of the delays and confusion, we ended up accruing over $2,000 in extra charges.
I personally began calling, emailing, and texting for help. I was told that my new insurer had to contact them directly to cancel the policy, which makes no sense—I don’t need to “prove” I’m canceling. My new insurer even confirmed they had never been asked to do this before. They offered to send me a letter instead, which I could forward, but when I tried to explain this, I was met with silence.
I called and emailed repeatedly, left voicemails, and texted—weeks went by with no real response. When I finally heard back, I was told to send the information by email and they’d “take care of it.” I did exactly that, but the policy still wasn’t canceled and no refund was issued.
At this point it’s been months of chasing responses and setting deadlines, only to be ignored. We chose this company to avoid “customer service runarounds,” yet this has been exactly that—phone tag, unreturned messages, and zero accountability.
To this day, our plan is still active, we’ve received no refund, and we’ve been forced to carry two overlapping insurance policies for three people since April. Completely unacceptable.

If I could give 0 stars I would. I am in the construction industry and State Farm is worse to work with than state insurance. Their claims process is an absolute nightmare. They have some of the highest, if not most expensive rates in the industry and their organization and customer service is in the toilet. Constant run around, claims getting handed from adjuster to adjuster, not paying fair market rates, lazy adjusters who won't get on difficult roofs. If you have this insurance, drop it now. The left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing and your inbox will be filled with automated emails that get you absolutely no where. If you like burning thousands of dollars with absolutely no help, then this is the company for you. Otherwise, you'll be working with a bunch of hard headed, undertrained, unknowledgeable people who simply pass you around until they wear you down. Don't drink the kool-aid, this company is trash.

If I could leave a ZERO, I definitely would! I cannot believe the experience I have gone through with trying to get our roof replaced!!!! It has an active leak and I have siding (facia) peeling off my house! State Farm adjusters have stated multiple times, and against building code per the department of labor, that my roof can be repaired and they want to put mismatching shingles on my roof to provide a “bandaid” type of fix or repair!!!! I have been dealing with this for over a YEAR now and I cannot believe it, especially watching all my other neighborhood homes getting new roofs, people with my same story getting new roofs, and all the while I’m being told mine is not able to be REPLACED!!!!
I don’t know if this is the proper time to mention it, but I feel this process has been overlooked and taken lightly into consideration by our State Farm appraiser, and I would like to ask one simple question… Is this how you would want your Home to look in the potential resale And what do you think that would do to your value if you were looking at selling your home with these issues that are currently happening in my roof? And inspector for a potential buyer will get up on my roof. Call these items out and it will lead to All sorts of mind games for potential buyers, therefore affecting the value of my home.
That being said, I cannot believe that State farm thinks this, one, looks appropriate and, two, is appropriate and that I should accept this as a repair.

I was rear ended by a State Farm customer and he was found at fault and was ticketed. I filed a claim with State Farm after the accident as my car is damaged and the bicycles on the back of it were totaled. State farm had my car towed to a certified Subaru collision center that my dealership referred me to. I was given an estimate and then the collision center began to take the care apart and found a lot more damage. State Farm came back out and did a new estimate but it does not match what the collision center is saying it will cost to repair the car. There is a $7,000 difference in the amount, which is what I would have to pay out of pocket for something I did not do. The collision center has sent me the following:
"Now we have your car through tear down in the correct capacity and have followed the manufacturer's instructions on operations that are needed to complete this repair. Allowing the collision center to follow a proper and safe repair as the manufacturer would require from a certified repair facility. We have supplied all of this information to State Farm; but State Farm is trying to dictate how this repair is completed. State Farm has clearly acknowledged that there is a need for safety inspections, but chooses not to cover them. State Farm acknowledges that there are operations that are required and they will not cover those as well."
State Farm is refusing to pay for safety items and necessary things to put my car back in the closest condition they can to before I was hit by their customer. They are also refusing to pay 100% of a tire that he destroyed in the accident because they are saying there is wear and tear when I only have 4,700 miles on the car and would not be replacing it if it weren't for their customer hitting me. I am concerned about the safety of my car and I want them to pay for the full damages to my car but they refuse.

TERRIBLE. Will run your claims in circles even when their driver admitted 100% fault in a statement. After my accident i called their company multiple times while agents avoided me, passed me off, and avoided me until the last minute so i was never offered a rental car. They didn't retrieve my vehicle for investigation delaying the situation further, and offered little to nothing for our property/vehicle damages and health care. Now i've hired a lawyer, lost my job due to this car being totaled and have no help. This company is awful and even tried to trick me into accepting settlement by randomly calling me at night at home trying to push verbal consent out of me. STAY AWARE AND DOCUMENT EVERYTHING.

If I could give zero stars, I would. My experience with Kyra, a State Farm representative, was nothing short of appalling. From the moment the conversation began, she was dismissive, impatient, and downright rude. She consistently spoke over me, raised her voice, and made it abundantly clear that she had no interest in actually helping resolve my issue.
Instead of offering guidance or even the bare minimum of professionalism, she acted like I was an inconvenience and as if doing her job was beneath her. Any question I asked was met with an eye-roll tone or a snippy remark, and she seemed more interested in ending the call than providing any form of support. I’ve never encountered someone so unwilling to assist and so blatantly disrespectful while representing a company that claims to care about its customers.
If this is the level of service State Farm thinks is acceptable, it’s deeply disappointing. No one should have to put up with this kind of treatment, especially not from someone who is supposed to be helping during a stressful situations caused by their customer. Do better.

This company accepted 2000$ from me and refunded me 1600$ 2 months later saying they can’t cover me. No one came to expect the roof before taking my money, now they’re saying my roof looks to damaged for them to cover. That should have been the first step before taking my money!!! I will never deal with this company again and I would hope no one else will either

My home was hit with a hail storm. I needed roof and siding. I was told they are required to replace not match. My siding is 40 years old and bleached by the sun. I am so disappointed. Been a loyal customer for 30 plus years and never had a claim. I will be looking for another company!
