5 starsI had the opportunity for one on one training with Alex. The MyTaxPrepOffice is a new software that I decided to utilize for the upcoming tax year. I want to recognize Alex for his excellent training skills, and the ability to share information from the software that will be of most benefit in my tax preparation. He was very thorough, and very patient with me, which is very important to me. I was even given the opportunity to experience the software operation during the training. I look forward to working with the software. Additionally, I look forward to interacting with the staff. The contact salesperson and Alex are great individuals, and did an excellent job representing the software and as well as the company.

5 starsMy name is Tom B. This is my first year to use MyTaxPrepOffice software. I find it quite detailed and a little time consuming compared to the REMOVED Software that I had used for over 15 years. I hope to have a better experience in the second year.
Today, I had a couple of problems I discussed with Ms. BREMOVEDregarding a zip code that would not populate the City & State, After confirming that the problem actually existed she was able to provide an override and also referred the problem to the software developer.
The second problem was about cause of creation of duplicate clients/returns which she was able to refer to the software developer too after archiving the duplicates.
The third problem was the procedure to be followed when amending a return. Ms. BREMOVEDpointed out the alternative procedures and illustrated both of them to my satisfaction. At the end of it, I was a satisfied client.

5 starsI am very impressed with this software for tax prep. From the initial contact with a customer service rep to the one on one training with the trainer the experience was on point. This software serves all my needs by being inclusive to all forms and the ability to have a secured email connection with my clients. The program is very user friendly and I found that I was able to do a lot of the setup before my training with Alex. The training is very thorough and Alex took the time to be very personable and not just a robot giving answers to questions. Overall I am impressed with this software. I am hoping this impression continues when the tax season starts up.MyTAXPrepOffice

5 starsI have been using this tax software since 2017 and am continually impressed by the Technical Support team!! Over the years it has been easy to call, get assistance and I have seen changes to the software that I know have been done due to tax preparer's requests to make the system friendlier. This company is truly focused on assisting its' customers with all technical aspects to make the use of the system smooth. In addition to the knowledge of their system they are always extremely kind and are never frustrated that I am calling.MyTAXPrepOffice

5 starsI was entertained by reading the complaints. I wish the BBB let you comment to them. I am convinced the people writing the complaints do not know how to prepare taxes at all. It shouldn't matter if the system calculated everything incorrectly how do you submit without reviewing it?
I have been a customer since 2018 and yes there was a lot of issues. however customer service was always helpful and yes I did make a few calculation errors and then some things didn't seem to pull over correctly but in the end that is my fault for not catching that. each year though mytaxprepoffice improves. Also, I have made numerous suggestions to them and I am happy to see they are implemented. This makes me feel like they really listened. My price is also low and I am locked in which shows they value long time customers. I feel valued as a customer because of this, not many companies do this.
The issues usually fall in the state returns. I reviewed each one to make sure everything is correct. If you are doing a part year return or non resident return and have multiple states you have to make sure everything is allocated correctly. The system guesses the best it can based on the info entered but it can't do your job for you. It doesn't ask you a 100 questions like TurboTax to be able to enter everything correctly for you. If I do find a calculation error even though I can override I do try to report them and they are fixed quickly.
The lag and freezing I get sometimes especially during tax season is bad. I won't be able to check a box, or type in a field or it loads forever and just gets stuck. I have to refresh or logout and back in to get it to work. The lag does waste a chuck of my time because it doubles the time it takes me. My biggest annoyance. I really hope they come out with a desktop option not just offline, I feel I could be a lot more efficient without the delay because if I ever did switch to a different software that would be the reason. continue to get betterMyTAXPrepOffice

5 starsI find it easy to navigate especially with anxious customers. Some of my clients are disorganized and they'll pull stuff out relating to Sch. D when were on Sch. F, as an example, After the customer is set up in the info and e-file area it's pretty easier to move quickly with clients. I'll continue to use it.MyTAXPrepOffice
