We purchased a used vehicle in September 2023 and got a GWC Warranty alongside it. The vehicle failed in December 2024. We initiated a warranty claim and for the last several months have been strung along, made to wait, and outright lied to about the status of our claim. GWC Warranty has given multiple, conflicting excuses about why they refuse to service our claim. Instead, *** offers vague reasons for the denial with a refusal to elaborate because "we don't have that information," or, "the person who could answer this is unavailable." We are rapidly approaching the need to possibly take legal action, and I advise against taking a GWC Warranty for your car at all costs. A dishonest, scamming company who wants nothing more than to take your money and give nothing back.

*** is refusing to honor their contract and cover the cost to replace my leaking thermostat on my 2013 **** A6 with 3.0T engine. They are claiming because the leak is from the housing, which is a part of the thermostat they will not cover the replacement. The thermostat and housing are all one piece. You cannot buy them separately through any source. Part # **E121111AL. I spoke with a claim supervisor (**** and also *****). Both are claiming because it is the housing portion of the thermostat that is leaking it is not covered. I asked them to show me where on my contract this has been stated. They were not able to provide this information.

My contract clearly states that the thermostat is listed for coverage under the Powertrain Plus. Nowhere on the contact does it state that only certain parts of a covered component is covered. THE HOUSING PORTION OF THE THERMOSTAT IS LEAKING,THIS IS A PART OF THE THERMOSTAT. You cannot purchase the housing separately from the thermostat it is all one piece. GWC Warranty is in violation of their contract. This is not acceptable.

1- This is regarding warranty cancellation refund that I did not receive from the dealer (Silicon valley enthusiast) in ********, ********** (I will file separate complaint)2- The warranty bought from the dealer who works with GWC warranty was canceled 6th of January 2025 and I should receive a refund as per GWC warranty because they "claim" they sent check with the refund to the dealership. But the dealership claims nothing was received. I can supply you with a necessary bill of sale and warranty contract bank transaction and also the warranty cancelation form which the dealership sent to me as evidence cancelation is done and that was processed by GWC warranty and the refund was sent to the dealership who says "we did not receive it" although Warranty company said they should have the *** wire. I have also an audio recording from the dealership phone call to warranty company who sent a check for the refunded amount which they provided to me but still matters are not resolved and over the phone they discussed things like amount refunded (3700+ USD) and other things.

I am rejecting this response because we have been have so many calls.. where is the check? check is sent? sent to who? dealer? dealer did not receive it? *** we will escalate to finance. Finance calls me we will sort it out. so no check was sent? TIS IS A JOKE from both the dealership and GWC warranty. It is literally as confusing as you read it...Something is beyond fishy. Both parties need to come clean that's why I sent to BB that both are not doing proper business and eventually it will be a court case with all the evidence. Some manager need to wake up and resolve this. Or tell me that the dealer is lying about a wire transfer or something. I have called dozen times but this is not being resolved it is just we will check we will resolve???!! what is the problem???

Purchased a 2019 Chevrolet Silverado back in July of 2024 with a GWC Warranty for $2895.00. Cancelled the warranty with the dealership **************** who advised they will send cancellation to GWC right away and $2895.00 will be refunded to the lienholder to deduct from the amount financed. Cancellation notice was provided from dealership and attached in complaint. Have been trying to contact GWC Warranty since October 2024 because lienholder said it may take up to 30 days to receive refund. No refund has been sent and we are now at the end of February 2025. Have tried to contact GWC Warranty but no response. Automated voice say's you are 2nd in line and wait is 15 mins. It was then come back and say you are 12 or 13th in line and wait time keeps increasing to the point where I have spent 5hrs, 4hrs, 3hrs on wait since October hoping someone will answer and give me a response on why the cancellation has not been processed and sent to the lienholder. This is very frustrating and reporting this to BBB was my last resort.

GWC WARRANTY IS A SCAM. We paid $1299.00 for this said 5 year ******* warranty.I bought a 2011 ***** on 9-7-21 it had ******* miles on it. This vehicle was for my son who was getting his license later that year. So the ***** was not driven much. In November 2024 the check engine light came on and I took it to the garage to get it looked at. They determined that the timing belt was going on it the ***** now has ******* miles on it. They told me it would be $3,900 to fix. With still owing $3000 on the loan I had to give it some thought. Then I remembered I had the warranty and gave the info to the garage on 12-7-25 which the emailed out to GWC right away it took forever to get response from them. But when we did we got the info they needed. Finally at the beginning of February 2025 with some persistent phone calls they apologized to the garage that the case got miss handled and they would look into right away. 2 days later they contacted the garage and denied the claim saying we didn't follow their policys. Which the whole time I went off the manufacturer guidelines for oil changes. I have tried calling them and get nothing but rude people and when i mentioned to them to return my money for there bogus warranty there response was to contact the dealership. Iv talked with the dealer and told him all that's going on and he seemed baffled what I was going thru. He stopped selling there warranty. He also said the refund i was to talk to him about was not accurate. He has also tried to reach out on my behalf. But they won't listen. So not even having ****** miles on the car since I bought it. I'm screwed cause in the 1st year of owning it, it sat in storage most of the time. I didn't change the oil in 6 months but when I did change it there was only a little over 3000 miles on the oil. Which by the manufacturer standards is fune. It says right in the owners manual you can go up to a year if ***** is not used. I would not recommend this GWC Warranty company to anyone.

Sold my vehicle 10/1/2024 have been trying to receive my extended warranty refund since then. I keep getting the run around and no one will answer the phone to help me. Ive sent the paid in full letter and was told a month ago that It will be sent in ***** days. Now Im being told its still a week out from being sent and will arrive in 30 days from the date its being sent out. *** is holding thousands of dollars from me and is not giving me any clear information on when I will receive the check or even the amount I am receiving. This has been going on for months now and Im doubtful I will even receive anything because I keep getting the run around.

I purchased a used vehicle and had a problem with the inner components of the Oil Filter ***************** I also needed the oil and transmission fluid replaced and had to rent a hotel in the meantime. I purchased GWC Essential Warranty. *** through the obscure contract of only covering SPECIFIC parts, is telling me they will not cover any of it. Although it states it will help cover daily expenses due to being homeless during the time of the repair, fluids, taxes etc. I am now in the position of them saying because they do not cover ONE part of the repair, now I am not able to apply for any coverage to any other parts of the repair. They have failed to uphold their contract and have created obscure statements creating grey areas where they can skate around responsibility for coverage. Stating if they do not cover one aspect of the repair, then any other parts cannot be covered. I do see their 1 1/2 star review rating on Consumer Affairs and feel as though I have been scammed into a warranty coverage company that does not in fact cover any aspects of repair. I believe this to be "BAD FAITH PRACTICES" "UNFAIR AND DECEPTIVE TRADE PRACTICES' and "BREACH OF CONTRACT". CONSUMER BEWARE. *** is not a responsible warranty company and may be scamming people out of money and not covering their end of their own contracts. They will create scenarios based off of key words they do not state in their own contracts, misleading you to believe they cover parts, when in fact they do not.

*** is stating I owe them "GWC Warranty hereby demands payment of $3,290.00", however the local Kansas city *** failed to change over our bank account information [we had a fraud charge which forced us to change account #s] for months upon months, and then all the sudden showed up asking for us to pay absurd amount because of her ******* to do her job to which we had no idea. We would of had no issue paying over time as normal but hitting us with a 3k bill because of your ******* to do your job is not good business, we had no idea she didn't do her job. We had to shut down our operations because of this and no longer operate because they locked our account and no longer could give warranties to customers, which was a big profit for us. I want them to eliminate this bill because of the local *** to do her job, we supplied her with a voided check and bank account info, to which she failed to update. We paid this company over 10,000$ with no issues for years. This company literally made my business fail and they are predatory and horrible people. Literally NO ONE has reached out about this. Absolutely horrible buisness to deal with. They need to STOP contacting me. The business is closed with he state and federal side and this was from two years ago. We tried resolving this but it was YOUR *** who dropped the ball on us not the other way around....not paying for your guys mistake.

Around August of 2024 I purchased a warranty for my (new to me) used car from GWC warranty. This warranty was supposed to cover any and all large fixed necessary for my vehicle with 5 years of my purchase. This purchase included transmission, engine, etc. January of 2025 my car stops working and I take it to my mechanic, who tells me the problem is part of my transmission. They fix it for me and I attempt to bill my warranty only to be told *** that they will not cover the cost of the repair because I didnt get prior authorization. While I understand this for future reference it not right for them to refuse to, at least partially cover, something which is covered under my warranty. They are using loopholes to get out of providing a service I payed for.
