My Complaint Timeline February 21st, 2025 - ********************* notified me on via Credit Karma that I had my first ever Collections Account Reporting for $51.00 from Sequium Asset Solutions. February 24th, 2025 - I googled and telephoned Sequium Asset Solutions after obtaining their business phone number. I asked the gentleman to remove this account from my credit file because, I do not owe it and requested a copy of their contract from ********* validating my debt. I asked if he could remove this from my credit file if, I paid the $51.00 today. He said, Dont pay the $51.00 to ********* because then, it will not be removed from your credit file. Instead, I should fight this as a reporting error under CSRA Rules at the cost of $279 and, I could pay $79.00 today and make payments in the remaining $200.00. I told him, I would need this in writing/Email with a guarantee it would be removed from my credit file as an error. He said, I can not do that - no guarantees. I replied, I needed to investigate this CSRA Rules and for him to call me back on Thursday, February 27th 2025. I do not owe ********* a dime and the whole thing feels like a Scam. I came to BBB to verify if Sequium Asset Solutions is legitimate and found 978 complaints identical to mine. Please help me remove this from my Equifax. I dont have money to hire a Lawyer every time a Scammer comes along. Sincerely, Dr **** E ****** Sent from Dr **** ****** ********************

On February 21, 2025 I found a $179.00 collection just posted on my ********************** by Sequium Asset Solutions. I never heard of this company, nor ever contacted by them, so I still do not know what this was for. I called them several times mid-mornings and mid-afternoons, each time the calls went directly to voice mail. Since I was never contacted by them before the collection was posted, this is a flagrant violation of federal ****** research shows this is standard business practice for this company as thousands of identical complaints have been posted and reviewed. The ************************************ (****) passed a law many years ago making it illegal for a company to post a collection on a persons credit bureau without first contacting them by mail, phone, or other means. I have never been contacted by this company. The ************************************ have received thousands of similar complaints over the past 10 years and have done nothing about it. I don't understand how a government agency can pass a federal law and not enforce it when the same company continually violates it.

On June 8, 2022, I went to a local ******* store to change my prepaid plan that I had for many years into a contracted plan. I had a prepaid credit on my contract of $230 that I was told I could only use on accessories, but when I bought accessories, the credit was not applied, nor was it applicable. I visited the ******* store at ****************************************************************************************. The store should have informed me it was not an authorized dealer or a third party. This is an issue because customers should know this. How is a store with *******'s name different from an actual ******* store? Getting business and selling the products and plans should be illegal, but not going to *******. That is illegal, and I work for an attorney,so my next step is to sue this company for stealing $1000s of dollars from me. On June 8, 2022, 1 purchased a contract and was informed that I would have a trade-in credit on my account of $1000 from the price of my phone. I paid $272.97 at the store on June 8, 2022. I also had a first bill, where I paid $251.53. My bill continued to go up after a few months of needing consistency. On December 14, 2023, 1 received a text message from ******* stating that ******* would pay my remaining balance off of my phone and would give me a promotion of $415 on a new iPhone 15. I called and spoke with a ******* representative named ****. He told me that my activation fees would be waived and that I could add a new phone to a new line with the same features I have with my current contract. I would still have my trade-in for my current phone and a new trade-in to add to my new line because I would send my old phone back and trade it in. I was told that if you made the change, I would get the new iPhone 15 pro max with my line, and nothing would change. He also stated that my newly added line would have a trade-in value of $1000 and would have the new iPhone 15 pro. My total after taxes each month for both phones would be $179 to $190 a month.
