This company uses deceptive and fraudulent marketing/business practices to collect personal contact information from potential clients. I was looking for a lawn care company in my community of **********, *******. A Web site popped up claiming to be for a local company, ************** supposedly in ********** and serving this community. There was no phone number to call to inquire about getting an estimate, just a form to fill out offering an "instant bid," which I didn't want, but since there was no other way to contact them, I filled out the sucker form. I was then contacted by Networx out of *******, ******* saying they could not provide services in my area but had forwarded my info to other vendors. Now I'm sure they've shared and sold my contact info, which will result in tons more spam. Take a look at the ************* Web site if you don't believe this is fraudulent advertising: ************************** Now Networx keeps spamming me with more fraudulent offers of a variety of maintenance services. I have told them to cease and desist and under no circumstances to share or sell my personal contact information. No response from them on that.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because: The response is a lie. There is no such business as ****** and Sons in **********, *******. Networx Systems uses deceptive and fraudulent business and marketing practices to obtain sensitive customer information and shares it without customer consent with other entities that *** use the information for identity theft and other nefarious purposes. Networx is an aggregator site that uses clever algorithms to generate fake Web sites to fool potential clients into sharing their personal information. I'm sure that they also charge legitimate businesses for customer referrals. Funny thing, I don't believe that a lawn service business in *******, *******, or ********, ***** really needs a customer referral for someone who lives in **********, *******. I have already shared screen shots of the fake ****** and Sons Web site. Now I'm sharing the local yellow pages that have no listing for ****** and Sons in **********. My next stop is the ******* ************************ and local state legislators. This business needs to be forced to stop it's deceptive practices.

We understand you feel that our company misrepresented ourselves or misused information you provided. With consideration for our internal business practice's and other intellectual property, we can say that after further investigation into this matter, the landing page you found does give the impression it is one of a specific contractor. This was likely done to aid in collecting the necessary information to connect you with an actual contactor in your area. However, once we received the request, we sent only 1 email. We show that you replied to that email demanding that we not sell your information, which we did not. At that point, we disqualified your email from our system and closed your account. On Friday May 5,2023 I paid Networx $400 because they agreed to give me $500 credit for their lead generating service. I feel that I was deceived during the sign up process. I was told that all my reviews from my profile on Thumbtack would be exported to my profile on Networx. I was assured that this was a daily process by *******. The next representative ***** advised that she can attach a link to thumbtack but she could not transport my existing reviews. ******* advised that they are partnered with ********* but the next representative ***** was adamant that they were not partners with *********. I showed her that when you access the Networx website it automatically sends you to Thumbtack. She still denied the partnership.. I received three leads since 5/5/2023. The first lead was a customer shopping for a price but the contact information was incorrect. I had to request a refund (it was granted) My second lead was a person that did not speak English I requested a refund (it was granted) My third lead was a person who already had someone completing the project. I requested a refund (refund was denied) I called to cancel my account and I was told that Networx does not have a refund policy. This was not explained when I signed up. Networx is insisting that I stay with them for a month and they are refusing to cancel my account and refund my money. Its only been a few days I do not want to continue to loose my money with this company. The service advertised is not the service that Networx provides. This is not the experience we want for our customers. It does sound like you were given two different explanations about uploading reviews from Thumbtack so we want to take this opportunity to clarify for you. Networx does not have a relationship with Thumbtack where uploading reviews from their website to ours is possible. Unfortunately it sounds like the agent who assisted you with opening your account believed this was something we could do. It is possible to manually add reviews using a link that is accessible through your online dashboard or app. After further review of your account it appears that a refund of your initial charge was issued on 5/11/23 along with the account being closed per your request. ********************* was the worst person to speak to at the cancellation department. I have tried to reach them three times for them to explain to me why the leads I put in needed a credit due to whats on the agreement that was sign for partnership between them and me. He lied to me that my account manager was trying to reach me and that the leads are 2 weeks old and I cant get a refund even tho I have been trying to reach out to the for 2 months and nobody contacted me back. My leads that were supposed to be credit back to me in those 2 months added up to be $300 that should have been sent back to me in credits. DO NOT WORK WITH THIS COMPANY they will talk to you in circles about trying to convince you that the credit does not qualify. The agreement that I signed between them and me clearly states that this is eligible for a credit. Worst experience I have ever had with a lead generation company. Signed up for lead generation. Received 12 leads in 3 days. We called each lead mulitple times. Only talked with 1 lead. After preparing an extensive proposal the lead simply said "nope too high". -This company did not tell me that they were charging my account upfront. -sent me fake/junk customer info and billed me for it -i requested to cancel 4 times via email and twice by phone and its still not canceled -A rep called me today, May 4th to try to stop me from canceling. June 6,2022, Being a single woman I bought a home in *******, ******* to renovate. So I would not be at any risk of being wrongfully done I chose *********** Networx to help me out with a good contractor that would be safe to use. Their advertisement quotes "For A Happier Home". The contractor done the most unprofessional job ever. It looked like a Crackhead stoned did it or even a child. I want to be refunded the money they cost me. The contractor would not make it right he walked off the job. $21,900 dollars later. Leaving me with not enough money to finish the house. I had enough if he would have done a great job but he didn't. He was never there to oversee his So called Subs. Networx has not tried to repay me.Business Response

This company was sending me leads for my company they promised that I was first on the list to call with leads after I wanted to close my account. Today they sent me a lead that was already taken by another company and it cost me money so I reported the lead so I can get my money back and I was refused. They refuse to refund the money that I still have in my account according to them I have to use the money to be able to receive anything. With all forms of marketing & advertising there will times when leads just don't work out. It seems this was the case with one of your leads. While this can be frustrating for anyone, we ask all customers to consider the overall ROI they receive from our services. Our records show that you did end up winning a carpet cleaning job which is great to see! As our representative mentioned, the initial budget is intended to receive leads with. Therefore, while your account is currently canceled you will still receive leads with the remaining funds in your balance until it is depleted. Unfortunately we are not able to control whether a homeowner chooses to get other estimates or in some cases calls another company before submitting their request through out site. Networx acquired my information without my consent and has disseminated it to numerous third parties without my consent. When I called to have my information removed from their systems, they claimed that it was not possible. They also told me they would continue disseminating my information even though I told them not to. I will be filing suit unless my information is removed.Business Response
