      HOTEL PLANNER IS A **** My card was charged under very misleading means. I was under the impression that I was booking my room through the hotel, not through a third party. When I asked questions while I was making the reservation, I was told that any information that I need to know will be included in an email. When I saw the email, I was very surprised to see a charge for insurance that I was not expecting, as well as a charge for Tax Recovery and Fees whatever that is. My total was almost double the cost of the room. I had a very difficult time trying to find out the name of this company so that I can file a report, but I was able to get it after calling back a couple of times. I was misled into thinking I booked the hotel directly and got stuck with the charge for a service I didn't want and didn't need. It has been a struggle to even have this rectified and get the rest of my money back. HOTEL PLANNER IS A ****

      I thought I was calling Holiday Inn Express and I was greeted with "happy to help with Holiday Inn Express reservations." When the agent told me the total, which was about $70 more than what I expected based on the website, I said, "Whoa, whoa, whoa, why is it so much more than the websire?" He said, additional taxes and fees. I asked him for the breakdown and he said that will be on the invoice from the hotel when I get there. He said, "There is one room left and I have to book this now." The whole thing sounded fishy, and it was!! When we got to the hotel the paperwork I signed stated a different credit card and I informed the front desk that is not the card I used to book the reservation. The front desk person said it was paid by a third party!! Needless to say, there was no indication that this was a third party handling the transaction. Had I actually talked to Holiday Inn Express and booked directly, as I thought I was doing, the charges would have been $100 less! At minimum, Hotel Planners should be required to disclose the fact that they are a third party booking agent, and not Holiday Inn Express! In addition I was told I cannot use my *** account!! Bamboozled for sure!!
