1 starI called what I believed was the official IHG / Holiday Inn reservation line after searching online. The number I reached connected me to a representative who used the same language and booking flow as IHG, but it was later revealed I had unknowingly booked through a third-party ********** no point was I told this was not ***. I was explicitly told that my credit card was only needed to secure the room and that my employee could pay at checkout using the company card, which he did.Later, I received a receipt showing my card had been charged, despite clear instructions that payment would be made at the hotel. The receipt falsely claims that I declined a refund and agreed to a non-refundable policynone of which were ever disclosed to me during the ******* make matters worse, although I provided the correct spelling of my employees name and email address to ensure he would receive his IHG reward points, the name was misspelled on the reservation, reflecting a lack of professionalism and attention to detail.This company uses deceptive and misleading business practices, including brand misrepresentation and unauthorized billing. Ive contacted them and was told to wait 710 business days for a refund, but *** also filed a dispute with my credit card company. Im sharing this experience to help others avoid being misled.HotelPlanner.com
