They advertise hotel room for $59, then charge $99. Total amount is not shown when booking, you find out whats the total when you pay for the room afterwards. When called to cancel, they tell me reservation is not refundable!

Do not use Reservations.com! I reserved a hotel on line thinking it was the hotel’s website. Although it should have been a flag to me, I did not see a breakdown of charges or a total cost until after I pressed confirm. The total was $50 more than I expected! For the $137 room I was charged $45.84 for taxes/fees plus a booking/handling fee of $19.99. As soon as I got the confirmation email I called and asked that the reservation be cancelled. I was told that I could not cancel. I researched and learned that the hotel room tax rate was 11% so the tax on the $137 room was $15.21. I asked Reservations.com’s customer support by email what happens to the overcharge of $30.64 (45.84 - 15.21). They replied that they keep it as an additional handling fee. I said that I was ok with paying their $19.99 handling fee but to pay $50.63 (19.99 + 30.64) was not ok. Some would call that double dipping (although it was more than double!). Lessons learned: be very careful that you are not using an unknown 3rd party booking site (I was not careful). If you do book online never press confirm until you see/know all the charges (I assumed I knew the cost because I thought I was booking directly with the hotel). It is always best to call the the hotel and book directly with them! I hope this keeps someone from making the same mistakes I made!!

This company is terrible. I did a ****** search for a hotel and I thought I had clicked on the hotel website, but I guess I ended up on Reservations.com. They hid the detail that the room I was booking was non-refundable. I ended paying more for that non-refundable room through them than I would have paid for a refundable room directly with the hotel. I was not able to get a refund. Terrible company. They clearly were trying to hide the fact that the room was not refundable.

DO NOT use this site! Horrible customer Service! I made a reservation through them for a hotel in Bellveu, Tenn. I used the wrong dates by mistake and wanted to change the dates from August to September and they said no cancellations or changes can be made. I called them 3 times to get this changes and they said the hotel had already been paid by them. Called hotel and they had gotten no correspondence from them, They also charged me $185.00 service fee plus the rate for the room. I will never make a reservation through a third party site again.

I was told that my reservation was nonrefundable but nothing in my confirmation email states it was nonrefundable. My confirmation email only stated that $23.96 was nonrefundable. Their terms and conditions are very misleading and do not clearly articulate when it comes to cancellations. In addition, I thought I booked directly with the hotel but didn’t realize until after I booked that it was not. They have their website set up to mimic the hotels. Very misleading.

Do not get hooked into booking with Reservations.com. They charge over $300 for their service plus another separate $15.99 service fee. We paid 187.00 per night for a 2 star hotel in Sheyboygen Falls, WI plus these exorbitant fees!!! The hotel gave us a receipt when we checked out, which after we got home and called the hotel directly they said the girl shouldn't have given us a receipt because reservations.com doesn't like customers to see the lesser amount that the hotel would charge. I called Reservations.com directly to no avail. DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE! Would like to leave a NO STAR rating, but need to leave at least 1.

On June 21 2023, I went online for the purpose of securing a hotel reservation at “******** *** *** ***” Virginia Beach, VA . At that time I correctly entered the date of my request (June 25 2023) and also saw a price quote of $117 per night (plus taxes). Then without noticing, I was transferred into a website called “Reservations.com” (which did not appear on the ****** Maps list of booking sites). I then entered my credit card number and completed the reservation request.
In transferring to “Reservations.com” the dates (and price) had changed (which I did not notice). My confirmation advice shows room rental dates of July 30 and August 1, 2023. The total cost for this is stated to be $480.18. My credit card was charged about $557 for this reservation.
When I saw the transaction notice, I immediately (within minutes) called “Reservations.com”, explained the situation and asked for a cancellation and refund. I was advised that this reservation was “not cancelable”. I was then offered the option to request a cancellation through management, but there would be a “cancellation charge” of $455. That amount (plus $24.40 in “fees”)still appears on my credit card account. I am waiting for a full refund from “Reservations.com”.
This site is a fraudulent ripoff.

Do not use. I thought I was speaking directly to the hotel. As soon as I booked. They charged my card and put their fee on it. The leader of my licensing school picked up the hotel bill. Reservation.com never sent the money to hotel. They kept the money. The hotel canceled my room so they did not double charge me. Reservation.com refuses to give refund and says case is closed. They signed me up for a room and charged me 178.00 plus their 20.00 fee. Please look at calling hotel and make sure you are talking to hotel before you book.

Mistakenly made a reservation at a hotel with these crooks. Realized my mistake and called them immediately. Although I called them 10 minutes before the "official" cancellation deadline, he kept talking to me until it was 3 minutes after the deadline. Then he said it is too late to cancel and I have to pay the $19.99 and the hotel fee, even if I cancel. With all these negative reviews, how in the world are they still in business? One reason is that it is difficult to know you are really on their website when you first make the reservation because their website looks exactly like the "official" in this case, Wyndham Hotels site. Everybody out there please be careful. Can't the BBB actually do anything about this or are they just a complaint basket? Really crooked scam artists.
