I purchased an iPhone on StraightTalk.com at 7:55 pm Friday 1/6/23 (to activate on Tracfone). I was trying to get a discount via *********** Offers. I used my business credit card. I later discovered the 12% cash back was only valid with my Quicksilver card.I decided to cancel my transaction on the business card & repurchase w/Quicksilver.I discovered my mistake at 1am Saturday. **************** was unavailable. At 10:17 am I received an email saying my "order had shipped." StraightTalk.com states: "Orders are typically processed & shipped within 1-3 business days. Saturdays, ****************** EXCLUDED."I called Straight Talk to cancel my order. They refused because it had already been processed. I filed a complaint with the BBB.I received the iPhone 1/9/23. StraightTalk/Tracfone ****************** called me 1/11/23, Re: my 1st BBB complaint. Straight Talk agreed to send me a return label via physical mail or email within ***** hrs. I never received a return label.Called 1/19/23. CS refused to help me as I was not returning a "defective item".Called 1/23/23. CSR could not create a shipping label from original ticket and opened a dummy account to return the iPhone to Tracfone. I received an email from Tracfone with no shipping label (a broken image) and no QR code for *** to scan (a broken image) and no attachments. 1/27/23 I went to the *** store. There was insufficient info to generate a label. *** cannot generate a label with just the tracking #.Called 1/28/23. Tracfone sent a 2nd email. Again no shipping label & no QR code.Called 1/30/23. Spoke to same CSR as on 1/23/23. She told me to give *** a Tracfone-generated #, which is actually just my ticket #. I tried this already. *** could not recognize the #. CSR insisted I try a 2nd time.Tracfone sent actual *** tracking #s, but no actual shipping labels. The return label emails are bogus and are only sent to say that they have responded to the customer. ********************** lied and repeatedly put me off.

I bought minutes for $29.99 from ******'s and added them to my phone. I tried using my phone and it wouldn't work, I called them to see if they would stop the minutes from ticking away, I talked to a tech, and he was very nice and tried to fix the phone to no avail. He said to buy a new phone and I could have the minutes back. So, I bought a new phone from ******'s for $19.99 and tried to get my minutes back, they put me through the ringer, they wanted to know my credit card number and the calls that I made on the old phone. I gave them several of the numbers to verify the account. But I never got the minutes back. Now I have a worthless phone and no minutes that I paid for. Never again!!!! Horrible rip off. Aged widow, **************

I have been trying for a month to get my new phone to work. It was working then quit. I as told I needed a new SIM card.Runaround immediately. Was told TraFone didn't sell SIM cards. Finally got one ordered but phone still doesn't work. After much hassle and phone calls, was told to go to Walmart for help. Walmart says they don't fix phone just sell them. Also said SIM card (brand new) was bad. Call back to TracFone went through rigamarole, got disconnected. Called back, went through same thing again, got transferred, person said he had to call me back though he didn't have my number. I gave it to him and disconnected. Haven't gotten a callback yet. I have a new iPhone that won't work and have paid for a years' minutes. No one in the Troubleshooting Dept does anything but lie, and Apple and Spectrum says they can't help, that it is TracFone's responsibility. I have also written them twice. First time, they called me and I thought things were going well because I managed to get the SIM card activated. Now wondering how it could go back if it could be activated. Second letter was because of the way I have been lied to about everything. Totally disgusted with the whole thing. I want my phone repairs so I can use it. I need it when I leave home if I have an emergency.

Signed up for 1 year of service and added 5GB of data to the service also, total cost $104 on my credit card. They put it on my phone within the hour as my service end date was 3-4 days away. I looked at my phone the day before my service ran out and saw that Tracfone had taken all the data away and left me with 1 GB instead of the 5 GB I was getting. By the way, I had spoke to one of their customer service reps on the chat line when I purchased the 1 year service and the 5 GB of data and they said it would not be a problem. Contacted a service rep on the chat line about the missing data and they kept saying I had only bought a 1 year of service with 1 GB of data and that they had No record of me talking to a service rep at all (BS). Not so I told them, I have the printed receipt that they provided me after the transaction. Why would I pay $50 for 1 GB of data? The year only cost me $49. The customer service rep accused me of trying to scam Tracfone because my story kept changing. Not so I told them. Very rude. Tracfone has went really down hill after ******* acquired them. Time to start looking for another phone provider. I would give them 0 stars if I could. I have been with Tracfone 10+ years.

I had Tracfone service for many years and was happy with it, especially the rollover feature. On January 27, 2023 my service just stopped even though I had bought a one year service plan that was valid until June 2023. I called the 800 help number that evening and after an hour I had service back. The next day I checked my online account and saw that my 8g of data and 7,000 talk minutes (accumulated from years of service rollovers) was replaced with 1.5g of data and 1500 talk minutes. So I called again and after a half an hour I was told that “higher tech” cannot confirm my claim, or maybe I let someone else use my minutes(?) or some such thing. I asked to talk to someone above her and she said she cannot let me because they will just confirm that “higher tech” can’t confirm my claim. I am not going to stay with Tracfone, sad to see what Verizon’s takeover has done to Tracfone. Why isn’t what happened to me illegal?

Worst support service ever! Spoke with endless incompetent tech support. Could not reactivate my phone having lost all ******* cellular service due to the new software upgrade from *******. They sent a new SIM card, but they would not verify my security answers to their questions. 20 years I have been a customer and yet they won't activate my new SIM card. I have thousands of useless minutes still accrued, Beware of a hidden agenda with them. This is their new customer service "plan". I have filed a complaint with FCC as others have too..

Was on the chat service with ****** at Tracfone/Straight Talk. They gave me instructions, and I told them I had completed them. ****** proceeded to gaslight me, repeatedly stating that I was not following the instructions and was not reading what was being said. I told ****** six times that I had completed the instructions, and ****** kept saying that I wasn't answering their question. I asked for a manager, and ****** would not provide one. I tried contacting Straight Talk via their Facebook page. Despite their IM service saying "please wait a moment while we connect you with an agent", I never reached anyone. I was on hold with them for roughly 120 hours. I reported them to the FCC, and Tracfone called me back, providing a phone number to speak to someone about Jordan's behavior. I called that number, and Straight Talk said we cannot tell them about customer experiences, and I am not allowed to speak to them about any concerns. ****** needs to be fired. Now. And Straight Talk needs to respond to the social media messaging services that they have set up. This is appalling. Coincidentally, after Tracefone called me about the FCC complaint, I suddenly went from 0.01 GB to 10.51GB of data used in 4 days. So pretty sure they are sabotaging my service out of spite.

My cell got hacked--my fault--and promptly reported to Fraud, day after day, terrible phone "help", all start anew w/ the same questions as if NOTHING is documented, 20 days running, so I am using ******* Advocacy contact info of big bosses. We'll see how that goes.
