      Tracfone has horrible service practices since joining Verizon. Poor reps have to apologize over & over because they can't help with the situation. Mine was activating a new phone because I lost my old phone. 5 days. Tried the phone. Tried help line at least five times. Tried on-line site. No luck. Tried the phone again today. #1 gave sim numbers for both phones. Not good enough #2 gave the 4 digit code #. Not good enough #3 Street I grew up on. Taggert. Not correct. YES IT IS. #4 Tracfone wants to send a text message. MY active PHONE IS LOST.

      Worst customer service!!! Took two days and about 8 hours to get two #s ported over to another service provider. They leave you on hold and say they are working on it and probably are doing nothing. They clearly make it so difficult that you just give up and stay with them. Do not use them!!!!

      I got a defective phone. Told to recycle it and new phone would arrive in a few days. Nothing. Envelope came to put in faulty phone and return. New phone wait time until May 5, Faulty phone replacement over two weeks now. I am without a phone for two weeks. Terrible customer service.

      Said my phone would unlock after 60 days when I purchased it. Guess what? 60 days later I called them and they said it would be 12 months! Of course then, I was outside the return window. **************** was beyond a joke.

      I paid for service with TracFone for 4 months, and the phone did not work. It gave me an error about roaming even though I was never roaming and would not let me call or text (I did not have a plan with data). I finally canceled my service and attempted to have my phone unlocked but was told I would need 12 months of service to have it unlocked. This is a scam. All I want to do is unlock the phone that I paid for and move to a service that will actually work, but they will not let me. It's well-documented that I called with service issues months ago, and I was offered nothing to fix the issue. It's sad that our daughter could not make a call or text from after-school programs when needed. This was a horrible experience, and I do not understand why they will not allow me to unlock the phone and leave.

      Avoid avoid avoid! My father had a Trac Phone contract and he was terminally ill and comatose and they would not cancel the contract even though I had legal power of attorney and continued to charge his credit card. I had to file a complaint with the state of Massachusetts and even then they did not resolve the issue. Do not touch this company with a 10 foot pole!!

      Absolutly the worst phone company to do buisiness with, if you have a problem and you call them get ready to be on the phone for at least an hour and if they dont like you they disconnect the call. The email they sent me with instructions on how to return a defective phone, did not send me a link to down load it so i call to get that information, it has taken them an hour now just to be able to give me that information and prepare a label to send in the mail, i almost did not get it because after i was transfered to another person she did an additional verification on my email and it did not come through so she was about to tell me she could not help me until i said i would be happy to pay for this package to be returned myself, at which point she insisted on sending it through the mail, which took another 20 minutes.

      My story is mostly the same as others', where most of the entry-level customer service people just don't know what they're doing. It took 6 calls and many failed promises to call me back to get to speak to corporate H.Q. Once I got to speak to ***** at H.Q., he fixed all my issues and didn't make excuses. This 5-star rating is for ***** only, the others I spoke to would give negative stars if possible. ****** learned, ask to speak to corporate right away so you don't waste your time with people jerking you around...

      DO NOT use Tracfone!!!! My phone was out of service for two weeks for service errors tracfone admitted were their errors! I missed important phone calls from Dr. ******** and texts and had to reschedule everything. I had just paid for another 90 days of service and asked for compensation for the two weeks and my inconvenience of their admitted service errors! Tracfone refused any refund or compensation saying that they do not owe me any refund or compensation! I spent two hours today of my time with tracfone, chat and used more of my minutes up for their failure in service! Reporting them to BBB, Attorney General and you! As I read all the reviews, I see you all have already gone through some kind of nightmare yourselves with tracfone! Shame on you tracfone for treating customers like this!

      Totally horrendous customer service, plus some bad policies on the part of the company. I ordered a flip phone and 3 month's service. I did note that both are non-refundable no matter what goes wrong, but I figured it can't be that bad. It was. I spoke with 4 customer service reps for a total of 3 hours, and they were unable to transfer over to TracFone my existing number. I could hear them typing out chats while they told me to wait. I never got a phone number, but called Twigby, another discount service, and was all set up in 15 minutes. So, with the cost of phone and 3 month's service down the drain, I just had to be sure they wouldn't charge my credit card for another 3 months. This time a customer service rep assured me there was no recurrent payment plan in effect and it looked like my account had been voided. I gave away the phone to someone crazy enough to deal with Tracfone. Guess what? They just charged me for the next 3 months!!! Last time I checked, this company had a B+ rating from BBB. That's insane! Granted, if you manage to get set up with them, Tracfone may do okay as long as you don't need customer service. Those reps are overseas, as Tracfone is too cheap to hire Americans, and they are poorly trained, although they try to be polite. There are much better companies out there, and Tracfone is nowhere near as good as it was several years ago.
