      Purchased a Transmission for my 2017 Traverse. Received Transmission and it was defective. Trying to get this matter resolved. Don't trust them.

      Not a good place to buy from, especially for a DIY mechanic. Received a transmission that would not work. At all. Attempted to use the warranty (that's why I paid more from this company) and they will not honor the warranty without adding costs to tow to a dealership and have them confirm that the transmission was bad. They will not cover this cost even if it is bad. Multiple emails and phone calls to them and they are hiding behind their very detailed and complex warranty program. They are professionals at what they do- sell bad used parts and make it VERY difficult to get anything back from them. I wish i had seen all these bad reviews before purchasing. It was a very expensive mistake to use AM Used Auto Parts. Stick with your local junkyard!

      This company has a very well documented history of ignoring complaints and providing defective parts. The company sold us an engine that was defective from the start. They started by ignoring our complaints and then just became insulting and rude.

      I purchased a6.7 powerstroke from a and m for 10 thousand dollars paid a shop to install it .they called me and said the motor is junk.all the injection fuel lines were full of metal shaving and aluminum most likely caused by a bad fuel pump this motor never started.a and m says all there engines are tested before there sold..the shop that did the install which is all they do they specialize in deisel engines said at best this motor was turned over built compression and was called good.there is no way it ever ran before it was shipped. Which a and m would not know because it came from a yard in ohio.they said pull it back out at my expense send it back and they would sent another one they paid shipping. The second motor came from Kentucky with no documentation but it does run so after paying for two instalations 17 thousand dollars later I have a running engines. Being that I'm 2000 miles from them they aren't going to make things right as they told me .so I would not recommend A andM auto to anyone.

      I was sent a 6.7 powerstroke paid 10k for it paid 3500 to have it professionally installed and it never started ,never ran.they sent me another one with no documentation it could have 300k miles on it who knows however as it works out I paid to have 2 motors installed.myself and other shops in th area feel the same way a and m should compensate me for the first install seeing that it never started or ran.the feel system was full of aluminum shavings from fuel pump.

      I purchased a 5.4 triton ********** from AM the motor knocked and had no oil pressure after the installation I called them I sent pictures and a video as per their request. I sent Parts list as per their request. The parts list was a copy so it was dated for the day that I talked to the guy because of that they say I have to pay the shipping for this motor to go back which is $700. The motor cost **** and it had to be in original condition well due to their request I had put new parts seals and gaskets etc. so it cant go back in the original condition , I was told once it gets back I would get a refund well at this point I dont believe anything they say, and at best im gonna lose money because I still have Labor involved so according to my attorney because Im in another state this is gonna be a very big legal hassle so Im just sharing with everyone do not fool with these people. Its a scam they say this motor was tested I dont believe that.

      They sold me a 4L6OE ***** for my Camaro.After I dropped it off at ***** *********** which is certified told me ***** was shot.I went in to look at it and there was LOTS AND LOTS OF METAL SHAVINGS ECT.I paid 1200$ for *****,500$ for shipping and 240$ for customs so to send it back would cost me big time.I would like *** to call ***** auto and help me with the cost of building one ***** out of theres and original one which if was good was only 800$ to install now it's a rebuild for 2000$.Im very disappointed and upset.I had to take a loan out to buy this ***** at ****% interest so do the right thing a&m please.I have pictures of it at the shop.I just can't believe they did this to me.

      Hello, sorry to hear you are upset about the used transmission you purchased. Transmission was tested prior to it being removed from the vehicle. Transmission filter will have some metal shavings, that is what the filter is there for. Before part is installed you must replace the oil, filter, oil pan gasket and front seal. Also you must flush out your transmission lines.  All this is on the confirmation form that you reviewed and sign. If you still need assistance please reach out to us and our claims can assist you.       I purchased a transmission from Am auto parts I paid $2900 dollars for it with a 2 year warranty and unlimited miles.And free shipping. I received it and paid shop to install it for me well 4 months down the road and the transmission is out again and I called in on warranty that I purchased it with and every time I turn papers receipts and everything in he needed something else well I finally got aggravated and ask for a refund I had to send other one back at my own shipping cost then when I received my refund it was only for ***** when I called and ask why I wasnt refunded for the whole amount they told me they took out for shipping it to me. I dont understand why I had to pay for shipping when advertised as free shipping. I got ripped off for 600 thats not right!! Im highly upset with this company and I suggest that everyone think twice before ordering online from them.
