***** ************ is making it seem like he will help but he already told me he wasn't . I don't care about the warranty. The problem is they never ran tested and checked the engine before selling it to me. Thats the issue. They lied and I have proof from a mechanic and proof that am said it was serviced and it never was

I have messages between me and the mechanic and he even said he doesn't think the car has the miles they said it has on it. I'm not worried about getting the warranty. I want my money back because they sold me a engine that they completely lied about. Lying to customers has no expiration date. Look at all the other complaints made by customers and their complaints are exactly like mine so what does that tell you. They aren't servicing the parts before selling them. My grandmother died in November a couple of weeks after me receiving the motor so of course I didn't have money to install it. Then Christmas hit in December. Life happens but dishonesty shouldn't be reworded.Customer Answer
Date: 03/28/2024
I completely understand I don't have warranty for the pieces that go on to the motor. But if they would of ran test this motor like they said they did on my contract then they would of realized this motor was no good. They sold me something that I can't use without me putting my own money into it. I've spent over 300 fixing this problem which I have proof if you need. They told you I only had 7 days to notify them but wayne said I had 30 and his employee said I had 6 months so which one is it. In my contract it doesn't say anything about a time frame. It just said I had a 3 year warranty so I didnt worry about putting the motor on right away. Plus in October I had my sons birthday, I had a death in the family in November and then in December it was Christmas. So putting the motor on was the least of my worries. Plus I couldn't put the motor on till I finished paying the financial company I went through. I didnt finish paying that motor off till the 29th of December. These messages are from the actual mechanic who's been trying to fix everythingBusiness Response

***** *******I don't accept this decision. Why should I have had to inspect it when in the contract I was guaranteed it was a working engine. I had also received phone calls stating the engine was being inspected by you guys. So the words of the company are lies. I literally sent wayne proof of everything and yet on here he's making it sound like he's willing to help. Its either I get the help I deserve or I'll take it to the general attorney with proof from other customers that this isn't the first time its happened. I want my money back in full.

I contacted AM Used Auto Parts in late November to inquire about purchasing an engine for my ****** Pathfinder. At first, I had to check the engine to make sure it would fit. When the one I was quoted was wrong, I worked with *******, the salesman, to find the correct one. He quoted me a new higher price for a smaller engine but it was what we needed. When we got the engine, it was the first one even though he charged me for the correct one. He and the warranty department refused to make it right. I finally worked with the warranty department and I had to pay more shipping but they were going to exchange it for the correct engine. When they received it back, they refused to send the correct one and said they would refund my debit card in three days. After six days, they still hadn't refunded me and said they sent me an email saying they couldn't do it digitally but would have to mail me a check in 7 to 10 days. I reminded them that I would rather have the replacement, I finally got the check but they took out another shipping charge even though I have paid all of the shipping as well as a restocking fee that I was never told about and shouldn't be paying considering I was supposed to be getting a replacement. When I try to reach the "finance" department (who I was told was issuing the refund), I get the same sales ********************* who laughed and said he didn't care if I reported to the BBB. I do have copies of all text and emails but I have already sent them to them and it all goes back to ******* so nothing happens. Apparently he was even able to stop the replacement I had worked out with ***** in the warranty department so he could s**** me over more. I just want my money back since they are not interested in making the replacement. I already paid shipping to order it and to send it back so I didn't owe that and there should be no restocking fee as I requested and was promised a replacement.Business Response

Good Morning, first all I want to apologize about the experience you had with AM Auto Parts. From looking at the notes I see that you ordered a engine for a 2008 ****** Pathfinder 5.6 Liter thru the quote email that was sent to you.. That is the engine that was tested, pulled and shipped out to you. I see you called about 3 weeks later to let us know that you received the wrong engine. After you submitted pictures we were able to determined you have a 4.0 liter and not the 5.6 liter you ordered. Engine was returned and you were refunded minus restocking fee and shipping fee. Per our warranty policy incorrect parts ordered have a restocking fee and shipping fee deduction from the refund. Please see warranty: (I understand that all cancelled orders shipped, refused shipments, unwanted parts (for any reason), and all parts ordered in error will be subject to a 20% RESTOCKING FEE and $300.00 SHIPPING COSTS)... If you have any further questions please reach out to us. Thanks

I am rejecting this response because: I provided a picture of my current engine with the white oil filter horizontally on the right side of the exhaust manifold I also provided a picture of the engine Am parts provided and you can clearly see an orange oil filter verticali on the left side of the exhaust manifold that would make it a 2010 that doesn't come with all time 44 like mine that's A 2011 with all time 44 the engine isn't compatible the oil filter Hits the transfer case quoted by my mechanic with 30 years of experience and he owns a 2010 and a 2011. 2011 ***** CRV, comes in all time 44 where as the 2010 ***** CRV did Not. Also the sales receipt says it's a 56k mile engine and it's more like 310,000

I bought a transmission that was listed with a certain amount of miles, when I received it it was marked with twice as high mileage. When installing it , I noticed their mechanic had stripped a couple bolts during their inspection. Now the transmission is acting up and they are telling me I violated the warranty by not having work done at a dealership yet I have messages where they informed I was allowed to do the work. I specifically asked before my purchase because I couldnt afford work done at a dealership! They are liars and scammers!Business Response

Good Morning, sorry to hear you are having issues with the transmission. I see that you received the transmission that you purchased with the correct mileage. From the notes I see that your mechanic stripped the oil pan bolts and we are sorry that he did that. We are trying to help you with the claim but we are needing the installation receipts such as oil, filter, seals, and also a diagnostic so we can file a claim for you. Once you submit the info over to us I can assure you that we can help you. Thanks

Date of Transaction - 01/16/2024 ***** ***** # - 4262-24 AM Used Auto Parts Reference # - ******* 2009 ********** Passant 2.0 L Automatic 4WD Engine was purchased online from AM Auto Parts on 12/11/2023. After much delay and having to contact AM Auto numerous times, The Engine finally arrived. My mechanic examined the engine and found there was a crack in the engine. After a few weeks of going back and forth with AM Auto Parts, they agreed to accept the engine back and issue a refund. AM Auto parts recommended I use R&L Carriers as a shipper for the engine. I arranged and paid for shipping with ***** Carriers. Pictures were taken of the crack in the engine before it was shipped. R&L Carriers picked up the packed and crated engine on 1/16/2024. The engine arrived at AM Auto Parts on 01/22/2024. AM Auto Parts refused delivery stating the engine was damaged beyond what was identified by the pictures I sent to them and beyond repair. ************** returned the engine to me on 01/25/2024. My mechanic confirmed further damage to the engine than there was when it was shipped to AM Auto parts. AM Auto parts contends that the additional damage occurred during transport and refuses to refund my money. They recommended I file a claim against R&L Carriers. I filed the claim with ***** (see claims #) and they declined the claim, stating they are not labile and offered to pay $36.20 for the engine and $166.57 for freight cost. It is apparent that AM Auto parts and R&L Carriers are working together to deny me the refund I'm due - each blaming the other for the damage. Actual engine cost - $2895.00 Shipping cost - $166.57 Total - $3061.57Business Response

Motor they sent was not what was advertised. ***** said it was a running motor that ran great. ***** assured me that every motor was tested and ran. Could not even install motor. I am rejecting this response because: Twice I had cancelled the order on Novenber 17, 2023, but my cancelletion orders were ignored. The engine could not have been tested as claimed because if it had they would have immediately discovered that it was misfiring due to the number 6 cylinder not having a spark plug, instead it had a rubber plug with a bolt on it. The other plugs were burned and oil soaked, indicating a long term lack of maintenance. It was a gross misrepresentation of the product.I rejected it and notified ********************* but he claimed that it ran great, I returned the engine at a cost of $735 and they received it on January 5, ****. Had they inspected it they would have found that my rejection claims were accurate. I never received any acknowledgement from AM Used Auto Parts, LLC of my claims .I am therefore requesting a refund of $1449 for the engine and shipping and the $375 for me having to ship the defective engine back.

On September 20, 2023 I call and talk to ************************* from ************ which is the salesman that kept sending text to my phone saying he had an engine for my 2010 Buick LaCrosse CXL 3.0L V6 after I was online looking for a 3.0L Engine. So he quoted a price of ******* with free shipping and a 3 yr warranty to cover the engine. I had my mother purchase the engine on her credit card. We was to sign the paperwork concerning the warranty and order form for engine shipment. The engine arrived a month later cause it missed the first shipper and I called and they resent engine. I received engine and checked over engine, sent information about changing damaged power steering pump. The engine then was installed and got running by Midas Auto Repair and they diagnosed the car by the *** and it read code number ****, ****, **** etc.. All concerning cam performance which deals with timing chain. So the mechanic gave me the codes and an estimate about fixing the issue because the car won't accelerate cause engine power will be reduced. I contacted ********************* at the claims department about this issue and the 3 yr warranty on the motor. He told me the warranty is only good if I change and replace all the main components of the engine in order for the warranty and claim to be valid. I've sent multiple emails and I've had my mechanic call cause ***** has 40yrs experience in installing and buying engines and they won't return phone calls or truly want to help fix this situation. I'm filing this complaint to have my timing chain issue resolved by ************ paying for the entire cost of the timing chain being repaired for giving me bogus 3 yr warranty that doesn't cover the engine at all unless I change and replace all internal components that should already come with a running engine that has ****** miles and been tested before leaving their business.. I hope this can be resolved soon.. I feel they did cause it was online and I'm from another state ( discrimination). Thanks!Business Response

I am rejecting this response because:
I chatted earlier with ***** and I was told my warranty wasn't any good because I have to reinstall all parts on the list I sent that is a part of engine when brought in order for engine to be sold.. The business hasn't taking me seriously about spending money to buy an engine that works. If I did all those things there's no need for a warranty or a claim and they're of no help. I know the 3yr warranty was fake because it never covered the engine. Now I feel like I won't my engine fixed and my money returned but I'm not okay at this point with anything they have to say because it was never a true attempt to solve this issue.. They are responsible for the engine they sold and that awful warranty that was given with the engine..

I am rejecting this response because: they never gave me a warranty to cover the engine. Like I stated before if I was buying a engine to put in my car why would I have to change all these parts or components after buying a engine that should have been checked and tested before delivering it to me.. So know nothing is solved and I won't the engine timing chain fixed.. If not we'll just have to go through this situation. This situation looks like fraud.. So BBB will solve it for us..
