I bought a **** Escape Transmission from ***************************************. $2195 on 10/27/2024. Took them 3 weeks to send. When we got it ******* **** ********** ***** put it in. $2676. As soon as we drove it off it automatically stopped on us. We took it back to ************. Diagnostic testing showed AM USED AUTO PARTS sent us a bad TRANSMISSION. ******************* sent them codes and pictures. They was playing dumb naw we didn'*********************** and myself got in touch with AM for weeks months, they kept putting us off. Giving us the run around. Now they telling me have the transmission pulled out and send it back to them we can't afford it $1000 is what **** said they will charged us again. They charged another 129 for another diagnostic. This company is sending people bad parts and seems like they getting away with it. We already lost $2676. We want our money back for that BAD TRANSMISSION if you look at the reviews everybody's complaining about bad transmissions being sent to them. I think they're scamming people

Good Morning, sorry to hear that the used unit we sold you is having issues. I see that the unit was installed and I'm sure test driven by the dealer before they released to you. If the unit was bad the car would of not been released unless they were hiding something from you. Something is not adding up. Either way I see that you filed a claim on January with our claims ***** and you summitted everything that was needed. We emailed you back stating that we are going to pick up the unit and issue a full refund but have not heard back from you. Its now been 2 and half months. This unit had to be returned back in February. If you have anymore questions please reach out to us.

I am rejecting this response because: I spent 2676 to have it put in they want another 1000 to pull it out. Theyre sending bad parts thats probably been under water. We paid them 2195. They really need to reimburse me for the transmission. And Ill take my loss with the 2676 I paid **** and the $129 diagnostics I also paid theyre trying to make it difficult because I live in ***** and they live in ******* which had flooding. This is really unbelievable a hard ****** I have learned from never buy anything else from this company. I let him know immediately about that transmission he wasnt surprised at all

I do not want to go back and forth. The unit was tested prior to being removed from the vehicle and shipped. Also when the dealer installed the part in your vehicle they test drove it and it was fine. You then went back to the dealer because the part went bad, proves that we do not send bad units. If they unit was bad from the beginning the dealer would of told you and you would of never been able to pick up your vehicle. Again we apologize that the unit went bad for what ever reason, not your fault or ours. You purchased the unit with a warranty and we are honoring our part by issuing a refund once the part is returned. If you have any further questions please reach out to us. Thanks

I purchased an engine from A&M on February 26 picked it up on March 22nd from R&L carrier in ******** delivered to mechanic he explained to me unloading that the engine had a oil leak and didnt look like it was ****** miles which was the quote I got at purchased on the mileage upon being inspected he said it look like a ******* mile engine used and worn out I told him ***** the sales representative that did my purchase ensured me that the engine was inspected before delivery which is why it may take longer to get to me!! The mechanic contacted me over a week later telling me that the engine is smoking and knocking in my truck and that the motor is a bad defective part. I contacted A&M and spoke to the sales representative who sold me the part he apologized and said that shouldnt have happened and that he would transfer me to the mechanic to start a warranty claim me he sent me a claim warranty through my email on April 1st on what he needs I reached back out to the mechanic for us to gather the receipts and invoices to send in to the warranty claim. Then he said he needed videos of the smoke coming out, and the engine knocking I sent him that as well. He said he didnt get any videos and receipts are missing. At that point Im furious because Im not getting anywhere and Im without my vehicle. I reached back out to the company and they told me that they would take care of it and trying to figure out what to do about cost so I wouldnt take any other action bc it would make them look bad because the next call I was transferred back to the warranty mechanic and said rudely and loud on the phone that he will issue a refund but I have to return engine at my expense. Thats not what the sales representative told me!!! I have a 3 year warranty that I cant even use because the engine never properly ran in my vehicle! I am a single mother with 4 children one with disability and special needs and I have no vehicle

Good Morning, sorry to hear that you are not satisfied with the used engine. After reviewing your order I see that our claims **** has been working with you. I am rejecting this response because:
I disagree with A&M's handling of my truck's engine issue. When I called on April 17, 2024, ***** requested detailed information and suggested a video of the stock markings while the engine runs. However, my mechanic deemed it impossible to video the stock markings while the engine was running because of the flywheel. ***** quickly transferred me to the A&M used auto parts mechanic(*****), who aggressively advocated for me to get a refund. However, the  mechanic (*****) insisted that I would only receive a refund,  if I sent the engine part back at my expense. I reject their offer and demand a refund for  engine, parts, and labor. I declined the offer only because in previous conversations that is not what ***** presented to me . My truck remains inoperable, and I feel unfairly treated as a single African American woman.

Im passing along this information. And you will finalize the claim how? And after you finalize this claim are you paying for the removal of this bad engine? As well as the reinstall of my replacement?  because I had to pay for those services on my own and your part wasn't any good starting from day one.  I also have a voicemail from your department saying that it was inspected and ready to be shipped to me , but that cant be true if codes were popping up once it was put in after I just received it? If not I just want my refund of what I paid for my engine and my labor costs with added parts I purchased to make my warranty valid! Then I will go buy a motor from another company, that actually works.

I am rejecting this response because: You are saying one thing and the mechanic is saying another I received a email from him saying send tracking and shipping information with claim number vs what you are sending me when I receive money from this company to pull that defective motor out to ship to you I will but as ***** your mechanic is requesting Im not sending anything back on my expense I did not make this mistake you guys did! Whoever pick this engine and sent it to me with codes popping up and knocking n leaking oil with build up on it knew it wasnt operating correctly.

stated last time that he said it was impossible to get to to give a video as we stated on the phone weeks ago now hes letting me know that the engine is bolted in the truck up against the transmission and the yellow markings are on the flywheel itself not being able to get to without injury or hazard. Days and days are going by that Im not driving my Tahoe bc of this companys mistake.

Because Im still without my car day by day now I told them what u asked and Im waiting to see if they can get this video recording but what is next? Are u refunding me and reimbursing me with my labor funds and parts? Or are you sending me a another working engine after verification and supplying the funds to take this one out to return yours on top of the reinstall fees the shop is charging because I paid all that and your part was defective and Im stuck back where I was with my last bit of money I put in to purchase from your company and pay to have it put in myself!! need to know whats going on or are we gonna settle in court??

Said engine was tested. This engine shows no sign of ever being tested. This engine will not run with the dirt and sand found in oil pan and rust on the cams roller rockers and valves on the head. This was not a working engine at time of receipt. It is not working. They want me to send back on my dime. This is not my fault that this ***** mile engine has internal rust. They should flip for the bill. Told me over the phone this is what you get for getting a used engine.

I ordered a saturn 1.9l engine on 3/28/2024 Received the engine on the 4/16/2024. I inspected the engine found immediately damage on engine. Rust and corrosion on all parts of outside of the engine. Crushed oil pan and sand dirt inside of engine. Opened up top part of engine found the cams are rusted roller rockers rusted. I was told over the phone these engines are hot tested before shipping. Nope the engine shows it was never tested because the rust on the cams and valves would have destroyed it if it was tested. I emailed and called with pictures. They wanted me to send back on my own dime. No way in he'll this is my fault. This is all on them.

I purchased a 6.0 *********** for my 2003 Silverado 2500HD from AM Used Auto Parts 3/10/2023 at a cost of ******* with ****** miles and a 3 year warranty as long as I follow there policy to change out certain parts stated in the warranty document. I purchased all the parts required plus oil pump, timing chain, spark plugs and wires prior to receiving engine so it was ready when the motor arrived. I have the receipts and pictures of all the parts required to be changed. The motor was delivered to the mechanic on 3/29 where he inspected it and said it was very rusted but no damage from shipping. He also stated there were three broken off exhaust manifold bolts that I had to pay him extra to remove that should have been done before shipment. The removal and replace was done to the engine parts and engine installation into the truck. The mechanic stated when he had the engine apart installing the parts it was full of sludge so he added a additive to help break it down. This is pretty good evidence that the engine had more than the stated ****** miles that I was told since the inside of my old ******* motor was much cleaner. I told the mechanic at that point to go ahead finish the install that it has a 3year warranty. The engine ran fairly good except for a oil leak from a cracked oil pan more than likely from shipping. So I had to have the mechanic switch out the oil pan from my old engine at my cost. I drove the truck less than a year with under 2000 miles since the engine replacement no issues until 1/31/24 when I got a low coolant light. I checked coolant level and it was very low so I added some coolant started the truck and it had white smoke from the exhaust and check engine light so I shut it down checked the coolant and it was low again. I then checked the oil and it was full of coolant. I hooked my scanner tool to it and it was showing a P0300 misfire code. The engine was never overheated in my possession. The next day I called AM talked to ***** and he said he needs a diagnostic. I had the truck towed to the mechanic to get the information he requested. The mechanic sent all the receipts I had plus the diagnostic to ***** that he said either had bad head gaskets or a cracked head or block. So ***** requested a more in depth so at my cost the mechanic removed the heads to show head gasket failure. This still wasnt good enough he wanted proof of a oil change. I explained that wasnt required since I had less than 2000 miles on ***** 1 oil change when the oil pan was replaced. He then needed proof of mileage so I sent him a receipt from my dealer when the previous engine had the oil line replaced in 2020 with ****** miles and a picture of the current odometer. That was not good enough either even though it showed I only put about 3300 miles since then. I then sent him a receipt the mechanic had at the accountant for taxes when he did the oil pan showing ******* miles still not good enough. ***** would continually deny having documents I sent him and my mechanic sent him. He then requested pictures of my old engine, the engine they sold me and the serial number to the my truck. I disposed of the old engine several months ago and this is not a warranty requirement. My opinion is they never had any intentions of honoring the warranty and gambling that people are not going to follow the terms of the warranty so they dont have to cover it. They did not offer any resolution.

I am rejecting this response because: ********* has less then 2000 miles on it since it was installed less than a year ago. The proof is on the receipt when the oil pan was replaced and the photo of the odometer. The manufacture oil change interval  is 7500 miles. I change the oil once a year using synthetic motor oil so it would have gotten changed if it didn't fail before that. ********* actually had two oil changes one when it was installed and then again when the oil pan was replaced. The proof is there.

On 03/13/2024 I purchased a an engine for a 2011 ***** Equinox Reference # *******. When I purchased this engine I was told that the motor was in this company's inventory having 57k miles, and I could expect to have the motor in approx 2 weeks. I have purchased products from this company in the past with no issues. The engine was delivered to my mechanic on 04/05, my mechanic pulled the dip stick, and told me that the oil was black, and burned, and had damage, I explained that this motor was tested by people I trust. Last friday when the old drive unit was removed, he unwrapped the "new engine" it was junk! it had no spark plugs, water and sand inside the piston ********, dipstick tube, and oil fil tube both smashed, several bolts broke off in the block, wiring all removed. Now after research I find that this company purchased the motor from ********* wrecking yard in ***** that represented the miles to be ******, vehicle had title, and odometer issues, but was not wrecked.titleBrand-summary-iconMajor State Title Brand Check - Problem ReportedMore info accident-summary-iconAccident Check - OK More info damage-summary-iconDamage Check - OKMore info odometer-summary-iconOdometer Check - Problem ReportedMore info other-title-summary-iconOther Title Brand and Specific Event Check - Information ReportedMore info vehicleuse-summary-iconVehicle Usage Check - Other Use ReportedMore info buyback-summary-iconAutoCheck Buyback Protection - Does Not QualifyMore info. I made this company aware of these issues on 04/15, as of now I have not been contacted. I paid a premium for a "AA condition" motor, and was scammed, I could have purchased a ******* mile engine that actually runs for $1,050, I paid more than double this. Now I'm out more than a full month dealing with this, and when I called Monday, ***** stated that he would forward my photos to their service department. the vin for this engine is VIN: *****************,

      Complaint: 21592933

I am rejecting this response because:This motor is not at all what was described when I purchased, it was represented as a "grade A" part.  I was told the engine had ****** miles on it when in fact it had over ******* miles on it.  it has sand and water in the block, and intake, bolts broke off in the block, valve covers, intake full of sand, smashed oil fill neck, throttle body froze up, no sparkplugs, or wires.   Also, the carfax shows inaccurate odometer.  and motors with these miles are selling for less than half of what I paid for scrap.

I have purchased several motors over the years, and in every case the motor was complete, and the miles were noted as this is the barometer to which the value would be assessed.   Yet in this case I was sold a motor which was purchased by AM Auto parts weeks after they sold me a motor, from a vehicle sitting on ******** auto parts for nearly 2 years.  if this motor was correct I might have installed it, and never been the wiser.

They can pick up this motor and Refund my credit card for the full amount otherwise I will file a cause of action in Justice court *************** Ms where the product was delivered.   Also I'm set 2 months behind, this along with the fact that this company perpetrated consumer fraud.   I do not wish to go this route, but if I'm forced to take this route, I'm, along with my mechanic going to expect to be made whole.

      Sincerely,

Ordered a **** 5.4 motor for a 2001 F250 with Vin code L on Jan 30, 2024 received it on Feb 7. Within 2 days informed them it appeared to be the wrong motor and was extremely dirty and rusted. Was told that is normal for a motor. Was told when I ordered it it would be run tested and cleaned before being shipped. ****** wasn't. Was also told that the motor would fit even though it appeared to be the wrong motor. Then after pulling valve pan covers to put new gaskets on it for there warranty terms discovered a rocker arm was not even in place on just sitting on the head. Notified them again and was told this is normal for a motor during shipment. Again asked to have the incorrect motor picked up and returned and they refused said if I paid to return it to ******* even though it came from **** they would credit me the purchase price of the motor not the shipping. Then when we went to install motor found the motor mounts would not line up on the block and the wiring harness would not match up. Again notified Am and was told this time the motor was from an F150 even tough my paperwork clearly shows I ordered a motor for an F250. But was told you have to fabricate the the motor mount and splice the wires for the harnesses to work. They again refused to come get the wrong motor and correct the issue. They still insist the motor is correct even though there sales agreement and warranty paper clearly state the motor will be an exact fit and any incorrect parts or motors will be picked up at their expense. From the start they have been very dishonest and will not stand behind anything other then wanting you to return it at my expense because that will cost as much as I paid for the motor.

I am rejecting this response because:

I have sent them additional photos and video that clearly shows that there is a motor mount on there and the motor mount does not fit for that block to this truck. I even went and purchased a brand new motor mount for the 2001 F250 and attached the video of it not fitting to the block of the motor they sent me for an F150, it is clear from the video and pictures that this is the wrong motor for this truck and they have yet to respond to the additional photos. Therefore they have sent me the wrong motor and it is their responsibility per their sales agreement to pick it up and send it back at their expense, not mine . I was not able to attach it to this ticket, but I did email them the pictures in the video

      Sincerely,

I am rejecting this response because:

I have sent cliff more pictures and videos of the problem and spoke to him on the phone this morning. He did say it looked as if they did indeed send the wrong motor that it was one for an f150 not f250 with vin code L. He stated if  that is the case once he reviewed the pictures and the order he would pickup it up at their expense the incorrect motor and credit me for it. I am hoping this to be the case and we can get this issue resolved. Hopefully they update me soon.

      Sincerely,

Hello, sorry to hear you are upset about the used engine you received. From the notes I see that you called in and were concerned about water in the engine. You were explained that the engines are pressure wash. We have been washing engines for the past 15 years and it does not damaged the engine at all. We can understand your concerned, but can assure you that you will not need to rebuild the engine because it was pressure wash. If you have anymore questions please feel free to reach out to us. Thanks

I am rejecting this response because:
The engine will have to be completely disassembled and all unserviceable parts replaced, parts and labor will a long with the $3395 I paid will cost way more than I  can afford.swapping the engines was only $1,250 now it will cost me an additional $3,000 in parts and labor, the price of a new engine.
      Sincerely,

In March 2024 I ordered an used engine from AM Used Auto Parts LLC. The engine arrived in deplorable unsuable condition. Damages included holes and rust. I have pictures as verification of said damage. In addition, the business stated in an email, that I can provide, that the damages occurred during shipping however they refused to complete an insurance claim form in order to recoup the amount of the engine's damage. They have repeatedly refused to rufund the ***** spent on the damaged engine.

I purchased a engine from this company and was told that the engine had ***** miles and was in good working condition and run tested witch there is no possibility that this is true for the engine cylinder walls and top of piston are rusted the oil pick up tube was at least 70% blocked debris and oil pan had what appeared to be mud like it was outside with no spark plugs in it and when reached out to the was told to email the claims department and was given the wrong address to which by the way is the only apology that Ive received but when I got with the claim department he blows me off telling me that the engine was as it should be have a nice day and then sent me a thumbs up emoji
