They told me the used transmission had ****** miles on it when it was delivered to the shop I later found out the transmission had to have more miles because it did the same thing as my original transmission so I'm thinking they didn't even test it before shipping it out so I was lied to

We regret to learn of the challenges you have encountered with the used transmission purchased from us in March. According to our records, you contacted our warranty department in April and were requested to provide the necessary documentation for us to proceed with your claim. In your subsequent correspondence, you informed us of your intention to rebuild the transmission independently. Should you require any further assistance or clarification, please do not hesitate to contact us directly.
      Thank you.

Purchased an engine. Engine is the correct engine however when the repair place prepared to put it in they found that even with new seals replaced the engine heads are not acceptable for use. It was unacceptable to place the engine in the car as it was. Repair place told us we had to buy another $1100 head after paying over $4K to AM for the engine with warranty. We do not even have the opportunity to see if the engine meets the warranty because it was never acceptable to place in the car. AM claims it was running when it was shipped and expected the repair place to put in an engine they knew had oil blow by and was unacceptable. We have now incurred $1100 on top of the amount we paid for a waranteed engine. We purchased the warranty with the engine from AM Auto Parts and have yet to drive the car because the engine was never acceptable to place in the car in the first place. Filed complaint with FL attorney general and have an appointment with a lawyer tomorrow.

I hope this message finds you well. I understand that you have encountered difficulties with the used engine you acquired from us. Allow me to address your concerns in a comprehensive manner.
Upon reviewing the timeline of your transaction, it appears that the engine was dispatched to you on January 25th, 2024. Subsequently, on February 13th, 2024, you contacted us to communicate that you no longer required the engine. In response, our team promptly initiated the process for return by providing you with detailed instructions, stipulating a 30-day window for the return process.
Regrettably, after consulting with our warehouse, it has come to our attention that the engine has not been returned within the specified timeframe. Furthermore, no issues regarding the engine were brought to our attention during our previous communication. Should you be experiencing any difficulties or concerns regarding the engine's performance, I encourage you to reach out to our dedicated warranty team. They are equipped and committed to assisting you in resolving any issues you may be facing. Your satisfaction is of paramount importance to us, and we are dedicated to ensuring that your concerns are addressed promptly and effectively. Please do not hesitate to contact us should you require any further assistance or clarification.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation in this matter.

      Complaint: 21795071

I am rejecting this response because:

The communication would have come from the mechanic. Gathering more details from the mechanic before closing resolution. We had to purchase a new head for the engine.

Originally the mechanic said the engine we wanted to replace could be repaired but once got further in determined not the case which is why it was kept.

The engine from this company was determined by mechanic to have a bad head.

Continuing my investigation for my appointment with lawyer Tuesday a.m.

      Thanks,

I solicited online for a engine for my 2015 Lexus IS250 FSport, your company was not the cheapest, but the warranty on the engine and the sales service was what my decision to purchase the engine from you. Upon the engine arrival, I was informed by AAA Repair of damage to the engine(hole in the oil pan), I contacted the ****************** which the gentle was very helpful and suggested a switch of the oil pan from the engine being removed. AAA Repair was not comfortable with that suggestion. Today I called your claims department and asked what the return cost would be and the person provided that to me, here's where I have an issue: I asked a logical question " Why isn't the oil pan covered under warranty, since it's connected to the engine being shipped?' His general reply was the warranty only covered internal parts of the engine, which granted I didn't read the full warranty and I assumed it was covered, since it was connected to the engine, but I still wanted my questioned answered as to why isn't it covered and he kept referring to the "Warranty Agreement", which I had already acknowledged was legit in it's context, if he did not know, he should have admitted that, not continue to talk semantics. all I wanted was a simple answer, which I haven't gotten. How do I return this "damaged" engine without the penalties and shipping cost or monial cost adjustment for the damage to the engine?

I bought an engine from AMUAP for my 2008 GMC Acadia. I had an ASE certified mechanic install the engine. He replaced all of the required parts to qualify for the warranty. After he put the engine in and started it, it began spewing oil everywhere. The mechanic checked it out and found the head was cracked, apparently from a head-on crash. He sent in all of the receipts and they asked for an engine code. He said there was no engine code and AMUAP kept asking for the engine scan code. Then they wanted a picture of the engine markings. Then they wanted a video. On day 30 they required additional info and denied my claim for not sending in all the info in time. The engine was faulty when they shipped it, they slow played the warranty requiring more and more info which costs to gather. They clearly shipped a defective engine with no chance of successful install, did everything they could to slow play the claim, then denied it. What a scam company!

      Business Response

      Date: 06/03/2024

We sincerely regret any inconvenience you may have encountered in your dealings with us. Upon review, it appears that your claim was closed due to the absence of verifiable receipts outlining installation requisites. Additionally, no video evidence confirming our engine's markings was submitted despite repeated requests via email. It is important to note that upon initiating a claim, there is a stipulated 30-day window within which all requisite documentation must be furnished. We made concerted efforts to remind you of this requirement on a weekly basis. Thanks

I purchase a used engine from this company august 2022. The engine had a 3 year warranty. The warranty stated it covered head gaskets. The engine was sent without any heat tabs on it. The company insists the engine was overheated and heat tabs are on all engines. The engine wasnt over heated. It completely malfunctioned.

      Business Response

      Date: 05/06/2024

Hello, sorry to hear you over heated the engine. Per our warranty if a engine is over heated it voids the warranty. Please see warranty at ************************** :

Engine Warranty is voided if the following occurs:
      Run Engine without oil
Overheat the engine (Blow the Head gasket)
Not replacing any of the above requirements
Removing head from engine / tampering with engine

      Customer Answer

      Complaint: 21668824

I am rejecting this response because: the engine wasnt overheated, the engine began malfunctioning and wouldnt start. When the gas pedal was pushed the engine would shut off. The engine would idle and run smoothly (without knocking or noises or overheating) for an extended period of time then shut down. The mechanic said it was partly due to a bad head gasket. His wife was the one who wrote blown head on the estimate. She is also the one who signed it. There are other reasons a head gasket will blow without overheating. There are not any heat tabs nor is there any evidence of heat tabs ever being placed  on this engine. The warranty does cover head gaskets. Thank you.

      Sincerely,

Customer Beware! AMUAP Reference# *******. I want a refund. On April 10th, 2024, I received a transmission that was of poor quality. When you check my receipt it indicates only 41K miles on it. This transmission was covered in dirt and oily grime. There had been a repair done and gasket sealant could be seen around the bolt holes to the transmission pan. ****** refused to install and took pictures of the transmission documenting it.On April 17th, 2024, within 7 working days, I sent the pictures by email to sales at AM Used Auto Parts questioning the condition. It was obviously damaged. They did not respond back to **** ended up calling them and sales turned me over to ***** in their so called ******************** ***** pointed the finger at ****** and said they must have damaged it. When I wouldn't buy in to that excuse, he pointed the finger at the shipping company. I wouldn't buy in to that excuse either. The transmission is clearly cracked and some sort of old looking repair was done. Several emails have been passed back and forth. Many of which I clearly asked for a refund. He said it could take up to 30 days to correct this problem. He never called ****** to arrange a replacement or ask for a repair. The receipt indicates a warranty, but there is no warranty. I had to buy a transmission from another company. The second transmission that I bought was delivered in a much better condition than the one from AM Used Auto. Now that I purchased another transmission, he says he has a replacement for me. Don't send it *****, ****** will not sign for it and it will come back to you. I have an email where I clearly asked for a refund and ***** responded back 24 to 36 hours. I have yet to get the refund. Based on the many complaints I've read, this company has a shady business practice of providing poor or damaged quality parts and then stiffing the customer and keeping their money. Everyone needs to call Channel 9 News and have them investigate this.

I purchase a used transmission from AM auto parts on 2/26/24. The transmission was installed and never operated properly. After a few days of driving the truck, several codes appeared. I took truck to AAMCO and was told the transmission was bad for the codes that was present. i thought they was trying to get me to purchase another transmission, so i returned the truck to the shop that performed the installation. They confirmed the transmission was bad. After doing some research, several mechanics informed me that no matter what parts that was replace on that transmission, it was not going to function correctly (bad transmission). I reach out to AM auto parts about the codes on transmission. He gave me a point of contact for warranty service who in turn sent me the parts list / receipt process for their warranty service. They rejected the repair shops receipt because it was handwritten. AM auto parts salesperson insured me that their transmission is tested before sold / shipped out.

I purchased a transmission from AM Auto Parts - when the transmission arrived it was in bad shape. I called and emailed many many times with zero reply. I trusted this company and went ahead and had the transmission put into my car. It was a faulty transmission and I should have known better. I contacted the company to try to come to a resolution. They were extremely rude to me, they would not help me and continued to tell me that I HAD to take it to a dealership to have it programed. I went to a certified transmission mechanic that has been in business for over 20 years. AM Auto Parts is a scam. They scour the internet and have junk yards drop ship to the buyer. You first get a very positive price including shipping. Then you pay and wait even though they said they have the part ready to ship. You are forced to docu-sign in a very fast manner that gives them CYA protection. 2 weeks go by and a very poor and unusable transmission comes in. The pictures should show burnt ATF fluid with the consistency of black gear lube and the sprinkling of gold glitter which is friction material and bearing wear on a transmission that was not ****** miles but more like ******* miles. They REFUSE to help me correct this. I was extremely kind to them when trying to figure out a resolution they were rude right off the bat and would hang up on me or put me on hold and not return to the call. This business needs to be shut down. They are stealing peoples money and false advertising these parts. I spoke with a gentleman name *****, he is so rude and unhelpful and would hang up on me.
