on 6/13/2024 we purchased an engine from them, we installed it in a vehicle upon test drive the engine failed a valve broke off and stuck in top of one of the pistons, we contacted **** ******* on 7/26 and was told we had to remove the engine in order to do so because the engine must turn to remove the fly wheel bolts out and with a stuck piston it cannot fully turn we had to remove a head, **** told myself on 8/30/24 we sent pictures on 8/20/24 was told that we would receive a replacement engine and should have by now, I was assured that we would have one by 9/6 or somewhere there about, then they tell me that is issues with the warehouse and they would refund us then on 9/2/24 I'm told that because we removed the heads only because we had to they wasnt doing anything for us.Business Response

Ordered a used motor that was sold to us for $2,700 at ****** miles. Upon receiving the motor and inspection from our mechanic (senior master ford technician for 20 years), a note was found inside the motor, with the name, date, contact information and amount charged from a previous customer. He bought the motor one month previous to us for $3,700 and ****** miles on the motor. He detailed all of the things he found wrong with the motor to us after contacting him, which was then backed by our mechanic who upon his own inspection discovered the same thing. We immediately began the process of trying to get a refund, and were met with ignored calls and promised emails we never received. After several months of go round with this company, they want us to ship the motor back to them at our own expense ($500+ dollars for shipping) and they will refund us accordingly after THEY inspect it. Its pretty crazy that a bad motor that they shipped to someone else a month before us was immediately shipped out to us upon return, obviously without any inspection or they wouldve found the note, to which we are now responsible for all expenses regarding return and they might refund us whatever they feel like.Business Response

The Problem. I purchased a **** 6.4 ***************** from AM Used Auto Parts , for the sum of $7500.00 To have been run tested , in good running order. When I started working on it I found the wiring had been cut off, Oiling it up ,oil was leaking out of the Rt. head , I pulled the heads and found cracks , I also had to open it up to rewire it, IF it had been Test ran, Why cut the wiring? Becouse I pulled the heads **** ****, **** ******* **************** **** I voided the warranty. Q. How do I know what shape this motor is in If I don't open it up ? I am asking for a full refund plus $2500.00 to cover shop and mechanic time for a total of $10,000.00 I am enclosing pictures of the cracks in the heads, plus a shop repair on just what it costs to replace heads in a 6.4 powerstroke. I was told i was purchasing a engine for a 2011 **** taurus with 81k miles on it. Then i had a phone call from *****...that said he had to give me another engine because of the *** would not work on the one he quoted me, but said that that engine only had 71k miles on it. I have no idea what engine i received and the mechanic that installed the engine said it may of came from a 2008 **** edge. So i dont know how many mile are on the engine as well. I know the oil filter for a 2011 taurus will Not fit this engine. And the Check engine light came on.Business Response

On 8/23/24 I sent AM used auto parts $2,595 via debit card for an Engine and Transmission from and for a 1996 **** Bronco. The engine and transmission were told to me to have ****** miles on them. About 3 weeks later AM used parts sent me a transmission from an F-150 in worse physical condition than the one in my Bronco now ? A couple of days later I was sent an engine that is unusable and would be a waste of time and money to install!They are now engaging in stall tactics and giving me the run around!Also Mr. ****** ********,the head of warranty and claims is hiding behind their multi layered contract,which is designed to confuse and deny legitimate claims. They went from "friendly, and helpful" to angry with attitude with faced with facts that they are selling junk parts. I'm one of HUNDREDS they've done this to. Also the engine arrived unstrapped on its side on a broken pallet! The transmission is not the correct Transmission I ordered. The motor mount on the engine is broken. These parts are junk,and should NEVER have been shipped to a paying customer and listed as acceptable to be installed. That was the last of my sayings,and I'm disabled. So they have basically ruined me,this isn't something I can recover from!Business Response

Purchased motor for my 2012 traverse on October 10 2023 when I received it it looked terrible oil all over it and when my mechanic went to install with all the required items to have warranty he noticed that the rear bank timing chain was stretched so we recorded a few minutes of video of engine and sent to amuap to which he says that's normal...bs the motor has never worked since I purchased had timing done on it then the motor was so sludged up it kept clogging oil pump also ran rich I just want my money back I've talked to an attorney if they won't refund.Business Response

AM Used Auto Parts shipped a motor for a 1997 ***** truck 1500.The motor can`t be installed because it is not in working order.Videos were sent as proof and three mechanics inspected it. I purchased a used transmission from AM used auto parts online. Which they are in ********* *******. When I received the transmission it had a cv axle seized and stuck in it. I took it to a mechanic who told me the transmission would need to be disassembled to remove it without damaging internal components. I contacted AMUAP about the issue and they told me I needed to ship it back at my cost for a refund which I did. The shipping cost me another $232.01. It was returned to them within 2 weeks of receiving the transmission. I had to call for an update on my refund and they refunded me $599 of the $799 I paid originally. I called them about the lesser refund and they said it was a restocking fee as stated in the warranty info. I argued that warranty isnt the case here as I was never able to install the part with broken seized parts stuck inside of it and I should be fully refunded. In addition their policy states that parts returned within 30 days they would cover shipping. When I asked for a full refund and my shipping costs to be refunded ,they are arguing that the transmission was fine and they were able to remove the part. When the transmission was shipped to me there was visible signs of prying to try to remove it before it was originally shipped damaging seals which would have to be replaced regardless , but there were signs that they tried to knock the axle out from the other side which my mechanic told me likely damaged internal parts that were between the 2 ports for the CV axles. I am arguing that warranty policies do not come into play when they are shipping unusable parts to start with.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because: their website states they offer quality tested parts with a 3 year warranty. Quality parts do not come with broken parts seized inside of them. I would like pics showing they removed the axle without causing further damage to the transmission that also had a bolt broken off where the transmission support bracket bolts to keep the transmission secure. Quality parts do not require refurbishing before use. If they had advertised their parts may need repairs before use I would not have purchased from them. I would also like to see documentation that the part was tested because I do not believe it was tested because of the condition it was in.

Transmission I ordered for my 2005 F-150 was delivered on June 2, 2022 with their standard 3 year warranty. It failed after exactly 2 years. I emailed the seller and provided them with the required documentation that they needed. Then I called and spoke to the claims supervisor probably 8 to 10 times with the same response each time. I was told he was meeting with the upper management and would call me back probably that same day, but I never received any response.I need a refund or replacement to get my truck repaired soon.Business Response
