      A used engine was ordered from ************ in ******, ** on October 6, 2022. The *** for the car needing the engine was given to AM to ensure the used engine we were buying was the proper one. AM Used Auto also indicated that their used parts were tested and came with a 1 or 3 year warranty. They sent the engine, and upon unwrapping it at the garage, the mechanic found a hole in the manifold and at least one mounting block was broken (these things did not happen in transport). There were a multitude of other things wrong with the engine the mechanic found upon inspection, so many in fact that he could not take parts off the old engine to "fix" the newly purchased engine. In addition, the engine was the wrong emissions type so would not fit in the car. These things were reported to AM Used Auto and they indicated we should send it back, but charged a 20% restocking fee and return shipping. We paid $2295 and received a check back for $1536 (they subtracted $459 for restocking and $300 for shipping). In addition, we paid $488 to send the engine back to AM Used Auto. Their website indicates that if a part sent by them is incorrect, they do not charge restocking or shipping fees. AM has been contacted multiple times and they insist they do NOT have a *** on file so were justified in charging the restocking/shipping fees, as ordering the wrong engine was our fault. We would never have ordered the engine without knowing it would fit the car as we are not mechanics, which is why we gave them the ***. In addition to being the wrong engine, the engine they sent did not meet their guarantee, as it was completely unusable due to the hole and broken mount(s). We would like to be reimbursed the $458 restocking fee, and the shipping fees of $300 and $488.

      Thank you for the reference number. From what I see in the notes it shows that you ordered a 2007 ****** Forester 2.5 L AWD Engine with Federal emissions and your vehicle required a ********** emissions engine. When a customer orders the wrong engine there is a restocking fee and shipping charges deducted from the refund. This is in the agreement that you signed and agree when the purchase of the engine was made.  I hope this answers any question you may have.

      I am rejecting this response because: We are unhappy with the engine not only because it was the wrong engine, but because it was an UNUSABLE engine. EVEN IF it had been the right engine, it could not have been installed in the car as received as it had a hole in the manifold and was missing at least one engine mounting bolt. I would like to point out that the purchase order specifies all used parts are tested and come with a warranty. Attached is a photo of the engine upon arrival (which was immediately reported to you after receiving the engine -- the mechanic who was to install the engine called you to report the defects as soon as it was unwrapped). Your warranty specifies that "all engines are ran-tested" in an effort "to be sure they are not knocking, smoking, valve tapping, to not have blowby, and are free from excessive oil consumption" How did an engine with a hole in the manifold pass your testing?  We assume that it didn't. The part we received was NOT in the condition the purchase order promised -- the engine was completely unusable, regardless of the emissions mismatch.

      Well I purchased a transmission from this outfit in January of 2023 when I purchased this unit I was told that it would be coming from *****. When I received notice of shipment I was informed it was coming from *******. Now the unit I agreed to purchase had ***** miles on the unit. The one that was delivered was in terrible shape I immediately called AM and explained to them I didnt want this particular unit and that it wasnt the one I agreed to purchase. I spoke with ***** the salesman I had gotten all my information from. He then connected me with a manager named *******. ******* reassured me that the unit would work. If it didnt work that he would refund my money. I agreed to these terms. So I had the unit installed with all the necessary procedures to keep my warranty. Well after all the work done the transmission failed and doesnt run. Well theyre excuse for not refunded my money is because I cleaned up the filthy casing because it was a hacked up mess. It also had huge pink letters and numbers on it. I did clean this 1 foot mess off the case. I did send all of my receipts and pictures . Well the picture I sent prior to me cleaning it up the pink letters are not legible in the photo. This is why theyre refusing to refund my money. Like I said I didnt want to work with this unit from day one. They basically refused to take the unit back from the get. But did say they would if it failed. I dont think I should be out any money for this. *** already paid almost 800 dollars in installation that Im out completely.

I see our claims department has been trying to get your money back but you are not sending us pictures of the transmission with our markings. I see that the pictures of the transmission you sent are blurry and we are unable to see the markings. I also see that you talked ***** yesterday and told him that the transmission is still in the vehicle and you are unable to send us pics.  All were asking is for you to send pictures of the transmission on a pallet showing our markings so we can send a truck for it. Once returned we will inspect and issue a refund. From  03/02/2023 we are giving you 5 days to make this happen. After the 5 days you will have to ship the transmission back. Thanks

      this company has changed up things since the very beginning. They told me that they would honor their part if it did not work. They told me from the very day it was delivered when I told them I didnt want the part they refused to return the shipment. I have told them from day one. Now they are saying I have to prove I put the transmission into my car. Well I really had no choice in the matter the part was delivered and I had no one that would help me me. They kept insisting that the part would be okay! As I stated from day one. I didnt want to even deal with this part.

      I have bought a **** ******** S 320 used transmission from AM used auto parts and paid for it on 02/13/2023 . Until today 02/23/2023 I never heard from AM auto parts and they never shipped the transmission and every time I call them I am on hold for 45 minutes and nobody answers . They have the worst customer service quality and they never respond to their phone and they never return my calls or respond to voice messages until finally today deter 52241974-3DE410 day from paying and placing the order I get the salesman ************************* on the phone and he doesnt know anything then i received an email saying that the transmission that I paid for ***************************************************************** finding another transmission. But they should have communicated all this with me . But they did not because of their terrible customer service and their bad attitude and carelessness. I requested a full refund so I can buy the transmission from another reputable business. This AM used auto parts is the worst company on earth with the lowest quality parts and customer service. I want higher management to call me and explain why they never communicated with me that the transmission that I bought failed the test and kept me waiting for 10 days . Now I wasted 10 days and I have to start again looking for a transmission from another company that has a good reputation and good customer service unlike ********************** . Very poor customer support quality and they never answer their phones . Terrible .I still have not received the refund and I want my money back and I will never buy from them again .its a nightmare dealing with AM used auto parts reference number ******* . They have NOT refunded me my money and AM used parts wasted 10 days of my time and I would have never known about the bad transmission until I called several times and was on hold for hours .       We purchased a motor from AM Auto Parts on 12/5/2022 for $3500.00 from sales rep **** before giving any credit card information we went over the warranty *** stated "if something is wrong we simply send you a new motor" (which we have found to be false information). The engine was delivered on 12/9/22 upon installation of this motor and start up of the motor on 12/16/22 it was discovered the motor has a rod knocking making the motor unusable. My husband contacted the sales rep *** whom said this had to be and improper installation issue, my husband is a ASE Certified Master Technician, it is not an installation issue. *** said we would need to file a claim which we did. We requested a new motor to be sent with verified miles or our money returned. After the claims agent reviewed the video we sent of the motor knocking in the car, he stated yes that we need to return the motor for refund, however we would need to pay shipping in the amount of $800, and a 20% restock fee. My first question is why would this motor be put back in stock for someone else to purchase and have the same issue we are having. My second question is why should we have to pay shipping back when you sent a knocking motor to us in the first place. We were very willing to work with this company to resolve the issue but the last correspondence we have had was on 12/21/22 when the claims agent stated he would call me back with an RMA# to return the motor at no cost to us, I have all phone records and emails and RMA# has NOT been supplied. This company clearly does not care about customer service, and after reading the complaints on here we are not the only ones with the exact same issue. Very sad how this place is allowed to take advantage of people. We want a full refund on this engine and are not willing to pay shipping back. I understand the there is a signed contract, but that contract also states AM Auto Parts are sending a motor that the sales rep sold us, not a knocking motor that is unusable. We are currently out $3500.00 for a junk motor. Something needs to be done about this, good people are being taken advantage of time and time over by this company.

      We apologize that you received a engine that was knocking, from the notes I see that you called in 12/19 and stated engine was knocking. We asked for receipts showing it was installed properly and also a video showing our markings. You were unable to provide a video because you said engine was already removed from the vehicle. Since a video could not be provided showing the engine we sold you was knocking we emailed you on 12/21 with instructions to return the engine. On 01/27 you filed a chargeback with your credit card company. We have sent all documentations and emails to the credit card company and they are wanting you to ship the engine back. From the moment you called in about a issue with the engine we were there to assist you, just needed info that you have yet to provide.

      This is not true, I filed a claim providing all requested documents per your warranty policy, along with a video emailed on12/20/22 at 2:51pm  the video was reviewed by your claims adjuster ***************************** in which he replied at 2:59pm "Oh Yeah send this motor back for refund".  I requested a shipping label, per the contract it states AM Auto Parts will cover shipping on all fail parts.Contacted claims the next day and was told that "NO" it wasn't determined that motor was bad, was accused of improper installation again. I called again and spoke to ******* whom said he would call me back, with a shipping label and RMA # to return the motor.  I still haven't received this call,  so yes I have an open dispute with my credit card because AM Auto Parts did not hold up to their end of the contract of sending me a good motor or making this right.  ********** is crated and pictures have been sent to claims per ******** request. All we ask is for our money to be returned and you pay shipping of the motor back to your facility. A reputable company would have ********** taking care of the customer.   My hope is you will make this right, and I can change me status of this complaint.

      Did you even read my previous response?  I have the email sent to ***************************** in your claims department and the email where he responded. Who is ********************???? Never have dealt with anyone by that name.  And again no one has yet to respond with an *** or a shipping label to send this unusable motor back.  It's is written in your contract that returned parts require the *** before they can be shipped back.  And that you will cover shipping back when a part has failed upon delivery.  You continue to do.bad business by not making things right that you guys promise when purchasing this motor.  I warn everyone to beware this place is a scam and has ZERO interest in doing what is right to their customers.

We have provided you with return instructions 3 times and you have not returned the product for a refund. Once the engine is returned we can issue a refund.       Again,  you still haven't read my responses.  ***************************** in your claims department received the video we sent to the ** services email address I have that proof along with ALL the other claims paperwork required by your contract.  I was on the phone when with him when he received it and responded to the email with "yeah send this back for refund"  however you guys have never supplied the *** that you require per your "contract" or a shipping label and per your contract when you ship junk parts you will pay shipping back.  I am not surprised that you haven't held up to your part of the contract after reading on here all the other people you have done this too.  Your NOT a ***************** that anyone can trust.  It's really sad that your company is allowed to continue to do HORRIBLE business, when we have tried multiple times to just make this right with you.  I am not paying shipping back to you when you have already apologized that we received a knocking motor.

      This December I ordered a used transmission from AM Used Auto Parts LLC. The salesman that I worked with clearly understood that I required a transmission without a bell housing. The salesman states that he clearly communicated the requirement that the transmission not have an affixed bell housing. Salesman name is *************************. He tranmitted the requirement to the warehouse for shipping and I paid $1700 dollars. The warehouse personnel put a transmission WITH an attached bell housing on a truck and sent it to my mechanic's address here in ******** who took one look at it on the truck and refused delivery because he knew if would not work in my truck. The salesman told me that I did the right thing by refusing delivery of the wrong part and that he clearly told the warehouse that it needed to be the transmission without a bell housing. My case then got pushed over to the warranty section of the company who finally sent me a refund for this error. The refund was for $1, 060. Below the check it said the rest of the money was for restocking and shipping fees because the freight was refused by the customer. After arguing for weeks with the warranty section about not receiving a full refund they decided that they would send me my money that they took out for restocking (2% of my $1700). I should not have to pay for them to ship the completely wrong part. Because I paid in advance they feel that they are empowered to help themselves to my $300 to cover some of the cost of their mistake.

      Customer ordered a non integral bellhousing transmission which means the bellhousing of the transmission separates from the rest of the transmission. Customer indeed got the transmission he ordered but because the transmission came with the bellhousing he refused it. Customer states that the transmission was incorrect because it had the bellhousing with it. The transmission can not be installed with out the bellhousing. Customer states other wise. Customer refused the part, there were shipping charges involved and once the part was return customer was refunded minus shipping and restocking fee.

      I am rejecting this response because:  Every mechanic from M&D Automotive and from AM Used Auto Parts agrees that the transmission they sent which has an integral bell housing Is NOT compatible with my **** ***** Silverado 4x4 manual transmission.  Beyond the fact that the transmission that they sent with the integral bell housing is actually made of aluminum versus my transmission which has a cast Iron case it should also be noted that they bell housing on the transmission they sent can not be removed.  The bell housing of my transmission is still attached to my motor.  The main problem here is the management and *************** who are making the decisions are NOT referencing even their own mechanic when they are making their decisions on this case.  Their **************** named ***** who spoke with the person from AM Used Auto Parts who sold me the transmission named ************************* will be the first to validate my story that the warehouse team sent the wrong transmission to M&D Auto.  My mechanic at M&D Auto definitely knows that the transmission they sent will not work because he had two trucks on site with the same transmission and his team actually began trying to put one into my truck before they realized that it will not work.  That is why he was so certain that it would not work that made him refuse the part when the truck arived.  ***************************** actually told me on the phone that we did the correct thing by refusing the part.  

         I hope this provides enough detailed information such that this company can do a quick huddle with their ******************, *****, and the sales rep ***************************** to rectify this situation properly and refund my entire purchase price of $1700.

      Re. #******* On 9/14/2022 I purchased a used engine for my **** Dodge Ram **** from ******* Parts in ****** ** In the amount of $1,822.13 I picked up the engine at their location in ****** ** after ***************** sent It to them from **** ******** Upon inspection it was found that the #4 cylinder had a broken spark plug in the cylinder head I then called *********************** at AM Auto Parts and spoke to ******************** he then told me to submit pictures to them To verify complaint which I did after pictures were received I received a call from ******************* stating that I had to Return engine to them I asked him if they could just send me another engine and he stated that they could not So I advised him that I was returning engine back to them where I picked up at their location in ****** ** He then said no that I had to return in to the original seller ***************** in **** ******** when I asked Him about the shipping cost of $390.00 in ******************** own words I GOT YOU BRO once ******* receiveds Engine I would be reimbursed shipping cost After ***************** received the engine I was reimbursed $1,457.71 So now Im out $754.42 20 percent restocking fee $364.42 Shipping cost $390.00 So now is it fair that AM Auto Parts can break their own contract and get away with it Not once but twice 1st Restocking fee they never had the engine in stock it was shipped from ***************** In **** ******** I spoke with a representative of ***************** and he stated that they Do not charge a restocking fee on Defective Parts So why charge me a restocking fee of $364.42 2nd Their own contract states that all parts must be returned to AM Auto Parts not second or third Parties witch I had no problem doing until ******************* stated that I had to ship it back to Rubicon At a cost to me of $390.00 RESOLUTION, REFUND FOR RESTOCKING FEE $364.42 REFUND FOR SHIPPING COST $390.00 THANK YOU FOR YOUR ASSISTANCE IN THIS MATTER ***********************

      When engine arrived at *********** location it was inspected by our tech and customer also inspected before loading on his vehicle. Customer then called a couple days later saying the spark plug was broken inside the head. We feel this was done sometime during installation. We understand people make mistakes and let the customer still return the engine back to the warehouse it came from. Customer was indeed refunded minus a restocking do the fact that the plug was not broken in the head at the time of pick up.

      with metal straps to a pallet so I could not have inspected as they state
      because I didnt want the engine to roll around in the back of my truck bed

      This company quoted me $****.00 with low miles ****** miles the engine they sent me shows head gaskets leaking a lot of sludge, oil burning on oil burning on the spark plugs. This is not the engine they quoted me and the price. they said me an engine with lots of miles and worn out I paid the **** that they asked me to and I want my money back they also wanted me to send it back to them and for me to pay the shipping and handling back to them. They sent me the wrong engine, so I feel they should pay the shipping and handling. and I want them to pay the shipping and handling for me to send the engine back to them

      Hello, Sorry to hear you are upset with the used engine you received. Engine will have wear and tare but regardless they are in working conditions. We do not sell engines based on looks but on performance. You are more then welcome to return with in 30 days from receiving and once receive we will issue a refund. Head gaskets do not leak externally so by looking at it and saying it has a blown head gasket is not true. Again engine is a good runner.

      I am filing my complaint today after doing business with AM used auto parts, I received shipment of a transmission on December 20th and it was completely different from what I ordered even after their sales rep **** said he VIN matched the part and assured me it was correct before I placed my order, after trying to get any information out of them about a refund or an exchange or even what part they sent me its been stories and lies and they have since blocked my number and have discontinued communication and I am finding out after the fact I am one of many many people this has happened to.

      Mr. Gabriel you are correct the warehouse did ship out the wrong part and we apologize about that. I do see that you got a text and email letting you know that your file went to accounting for a refund on 01/13 and then another email and text on  01/17/2023 1:34 pm letting you know that your refund its on is way (Check 6720 sent to customer. Gabriel Shine 210 Center Hill Rd Upper Black Eddy, PA 18972) . You also spoke to Paul your sales rep 01/13 at 1:32pm and that phone lasted 5 minutes and 36 seconds. For you to say that the wrong part was send out is true but to say you can not get ahold of us is not true at all.  Sorry that the warehouse sent you the wrong part and sorry that we could not get you back on the road.

      This company sold me a junk engine and won't do anything about it. I have been in touch with their claims department and sales rep and they both want me to run through some watered down cheap warranty. I really hope something can be done to prevent this business from doing this to another unsuspecting customer.

      Customer purchased engine on October. Emailed on Jan. 3 stating that his engine has a blown gasket.. We asked that customer sends over the installing receipt showing that the oil, filter, seals, were replaced at the time of installation. We are also asking customer to send over a picture of the engine heat tab. All this information is stated on the confirmation form customer agreed to and signed at the time of purchase. We apologize if customer feels is to much but this info is needed to file a claim. Once we receive that info we will be more then happy to help customer resolve the issue.

      I am rejecting this response because why do I have to prove all these so called steps that had to be taken before installing an engine with only ****** miles (supposedly) on it.  I'm not sure if my mechanic kept a documented list of all the steps they took to install the engine.  Most pulled the old and put the new one in.  For $6500 I was expecting it to perform flawlessly.  I knew AM Used Auto Parts wouldn't do anything about it.  I'll make sure to pass on the experience I had with this company.  STAY AWAY is all I have to say.

      I bought an engine from AM used auto parts. They said it had 76k miles on it... in good condition.... they only sell quality auto parts. They also advertise free shipping to commercial locations. They also have 3 yr guarantee for parts.They charged me $400. for shipping. I had all the gaskets, seals, and all components replaced that were required to validate the warranty. Within 2 weeks of installing the engine I had to start adding oil. To the tune of abt 1 quart every ****** miles. This is excessive for an engine w only 76k miles. I do not believe it only had that many miles. I contact ***** and they said they'd open a claim and take of me b/c they take care of their customers. I got the diagnostic tests they asked for and sent email w pics and results. I heard nothing back. Finally I emailed that I'd give them 2 wks to respond. They didn't respond. I called back... only to find out the person I'd contacted before was no longer working for their company. They had NOT let me know this. The new claim deptguy knew nothing abt my claim.... so I had to go thru the **************** again. I told him I wanted a full refund and for them to pay return shipping as stated in their policy. They said they would NOT pay return shipping b/c is was over 30 days. The offered ring kit. I thought they meant re-ring kit...didn't really want it but felt i had no option. I asked them to let me know what was in the kit. They didn't. When the item came, it was rings only. I emailed that the rings were not enough... the engine has to be opened up to install the rings. I let them know I want a full refund. They also never gave me an RMA # which is needed to return the engine. I don't care if the want the engine back. I want a full refund including shipping returned to me. They claim to be a ********* based company... but they are not! They do NOT treat their customers w any ********* values. They only care abt selling the auto parts... and not their customers... not at all!!

Our warranty always offers a part replacement, help with parts to repair or a refund on the product once returned. You chose for us to send you parts to repair the engine. The shipping cost that you paid was because you are in ****** and we offer free shipping with in the 48 states only. PR, HI and AK are extra.       The company did NOT send all the parts needed to repair the issue. 

      My initial request was to return the part (engine) they did not ever send and RMA # as their warranty states they would. I had already stated I wanted to return the engine, but they insisted that I accept the ring kit. They never did tell me what was included, altho I asked several times. I had told the claim **** person that a re-ring kit should include bearings and gaskets.  The engine MUST be opened up to install the rings. They ONLY sent rings...nothing else. This did NOT  solve or help the problem at all! 

      Please I would like an RMA # to have authorization for a return and full refund. That is what I've asked for all along. 

      As I have stated before...after I receive that info, I will schedule appt w my shop for the engine removal. I let the claims **** know that the shop is backed out 3-4 weeks... so it will take time.  BUT...PLEASE SEND THE NEEDED INFO SO I CAN RETURN THE ENGINE.
