I signed a rental agreement with Advance Travel Network, being verbally told that they would advertise my timeshare weeks for rent for 180 days. I was to pay $499 for 4 weeks totaling $1996 upfront. I was told that if I didn't get any offers within the 180 days, that I could get a refund. Before I signed the contract, I spoke to the person whose name is on the contract and asked him specifically if I signed, am I guaranteed my money back if I don't get paid out offers within 180 days and he said yes. It is now a few days past the 180 days and I have not had any successful offers. I asked them to process the refund and they are claiming that they won't do anything until the contract is up, which they say is 1 year from the date signed, however, my contract doesn't state that. They also said since I didn't submit something in writing stating that I wanted to stop advertising after 180 days, that they automatically renewed the advertising for another 180 days. My contract clearly states that they will not continue advertising unless I send something to them in writing that I wish to continue the advertising. They are telling me they do things a certain way but my contract doesn't say that. I believe they are lying and doing things illegally. I simply would like my $1996 back but they are doing everything they can to not pay me. I don't feel like they are doing what they initially said they would do. I feel like they have lied to me and are scamming people out our their money. I don't know how to get my money back but need to find out how. Im sure I am not the only one that they have scammed. Please help. This business should not be allowed to do this to people.

In November 7, 2022 we received a phone call from Advance Travel Network on behalf of **** **** Resorts, offering a deal for our time share property. Advance Travel Network offered $1800.00 per week of my rental time share extra weeks that we had with **** **** Network. Advance Travel indicated that it will cost $1996.00 and the profits will be above $5000.00 for let them rent my extra 4 weeks that I was not been used. They also indicated that if I was not satisfied, they will return my money.
Here we are, six months after I paid them and multiples phone calls, No Refund, sorry excuses. I will like to get some help from the BBB in this matter, they are snowballing and I have to make payments to the ** bank. Their phone # is 1-888-268-3117 and they indicated that they have a rating of A+ with BBB. They use my phone # as my account, *************
They offer a refund if you are not satisfied with the service. I will submit paperwork upon request from you.

I am rejecting this response because:

There is no electronic record on any of my devices that they had any communication with me or my wife.

Today we received your letter dated 6/7/2023 indicating that you have received a formal response from Advance Travel Network.

I placed a phone call today at 12:13 PM and requested again my $1996.00 that I paid to marketing extra weeks of my time share. They informed that a manager will callme today.

I received the managers call at 3:20 PM. Lindsey was the manager name given in the call, where I explained that there are no records of them calling or sending text messages or  e-mails indicating that they were looking for me or my wife. I explained that I want my money back.

The only solution for me is a total refund of the $1996.00 thay we paid under the offer that if we do not like their sevices, they will refund the money. We contacted the Credit Card company,  but the time allowed was expired.

The only solution amicable is to refund the money amount paid for the services that they never provided.

    Sincerely,

My problem sounds just like the others listed about Advance Travel Network,
160 International Pkwy, Suite 110, Lake Mary, FL 32746. We received the call in early April 2023 and were to get $1800 per week, guaranteed, for our four RCI weeks to be rented in the Orlando area in the next 60-90 days. We paid
$1400 on our credit card. We have called their customer service number once and were told they were still working on the sale. We realize the time is not over yet, but when we started doing more research, we came to the conclusion that we had been scammed and would like to get our money back. Talk about feeling stupid! If you can, please help.

Advanced Travel Network approached me regarding buying weeks from RCI.com. The charge was for $1,999.00. RCI does not rent out these weeks through 3rd party businesses.

Last November, I received several calls from Advance Travel Network because I had recently joined the Vistana Vacation Club. On 11/11/22, I finally let one agent convince me to let them rent out 4 of my vacation weeks for $1,800/week. They just required a $1,996 activation fee (total for all 4 weeks). I was told that there was a convention coming up in Jan/Feb 2023 where my weeks would be sold and that the average turnaround time would be 60-90 days. After I signed the agreement and paid the $2K activation fee, I never get any offers by phone or email. I started calling in March to inquire about it and miraculously received 3 offers within the next week. Unfortunately, none of the requests were for available dates or locations. They told me they would resubmit my account for more offers but I never heard back until I called again in April. Again, 3 offers were emailed to me all of a sudden, but none of the dates were available and the properties were not even within the vacation ownership network. I finally talked to someone at my vacation ownership club and they said to google this place because we are not allowed to rent out the weeks and if someone asked for money up front it was likely a scam. When I looked up Advance Travel Network, I saw that a lot of people were having this same problem. This is a huge scam and very deceiving to a new timeshare owner like myself. I am asking the BBB to PLEASE help me get my money back.

I was approach by this company saying that they have a high demand for time share rentals and asked if we would be willing to offer up some of our timeshare for rent. They just need $1596.00 for advertising fee and we will make $1400 a week for the 4 weeks we are putting up for rent. In return, we would profit $4004.00 minus the $1596 advertising fee. They would only send offers after I've emailed them asking for a refund of my money. This is unacceptable and this is fraud! To tell us one thing, and then do another. I just want my refund of $1596.00. This doesn't even include the interest occurred from the credit card that was used. I do not want this head ache anymore.

I received a call from ATN on October 5th, 2022 for the option to utilize their service to sell/rent out my 4 weeks of RCI that I have through my timeshare.
The representative mentioned they can guarantee (I should have gotten this in writing versus verbally) they can sell my weeks within 90 days and if not, they would still pay me the money owed.
The deal was that they would sell my 4 weeks at $1,800 for a total of $7,200 but I would have to pay the fees up front, which were $1,996, netting me a profit of $5,204.
I signed the agreement, paid the $1,996 and after that it was silent for a few weeks. I received some 'offers' and followed the instructions to get the properties sold but lo and behold, the 'offers' they had were not available with RCI. So I called back and asked to get my money back as it had been past the 90 days, they said the contract states that they get offers out within 180 days, this is the first I heard of that from them.
So I complied, I gave it 185 days and the same thing happened - the dates were not available with RCI.
Next thing was to escalate this to a manager and just like EVERY single rep, they said "you will be getting offers here shortly", which was a lie. Then she proceeds to tell me they actually have up to a YEAR to get me offer to get paid out, this was not told to me either. A weeke later, still no offers like they promised.
I called again today (4/25/2023) which is now 205 days later and still keep getting told "you will get offers here by the end of the week." I have heard that every time and don't believe them at this point.

This business has completely ruined my trust with them and based on the past interactions, it's all empty promises.
I just want what I was promised as I'm going on 6 months of being unemployed and really need the funds they refuse to pay me.

Posed as a partner with RCI and solicited Time Share Owners to rent out their Timeshare during weeks that was not being used. Charged an upfront fee to advertise timeshare and promised a return profit in 180 days. As of today my timeshare has not been rented and they never contact RCI for available dates. The make the Timeshare Owner call RCI for availability dates. So far I have tried over 4 times to rent out my timeshare with no luck. I would like a refund of my $998.00 and I think this company is a scam.

I am rejecting this response because: Advance Travel Network failed to rent the timeshare in the 180 days as in the contract, I have not received a link to the advertisement to see if it really posted, and I am requesting a refund immediately. I am going to file a complaint with the State Attorney's office if I don't receive a full refund. I will follow up with a Police report with the Lake Mary Police Department this month. I am not calling Advance Travel Network to hear some fabricated story. I want a refund in the amount of $998.00. No back and forth.

On August 13, 2022 I paid to Advance Travel Network (ATN) $ 1996 paid representing four weeks of RCI vacation time for them to sell that rental time for a profit for me.

I had to initiate calls to ATN in September, October, November, January, and April to get viable offers. Three sets of offers received were not viable and could not be followed up. The latest received in April 2023 included units that were no longer being rented.

It appears to me that the promises made were false from the beginning as RCI weeks (which were to be purchased using my membership through BlueGreen Resorts) I learned cannot be resold according to RCI.

Today after the latest discussions ATN promises that they will put "extra effort" on my account and extend the 180-day contract period. I ask that my $1996 be returned.
