This company appears to be scamming people of money. Ryan B****** reached out to my husband and I offering to assist with selling some of our timeshare weeks. We would pay $998 and they would sell the weeks and we would receive $3600. We were convinced they had an overflow of offers and it should be done within 60-90 days. If not we would receive our money back. They sent us a contract we signed. After several days I did not receive the signed contracts back I had to insist on my copy. At that time I received the contract I called them to tell them that I did not agree to 6 months and this contract was not accurate. I was assured not to worry I would have my money. The company never advised that I would have to research the Timeshare company for availability on dates they sent to me. I again told them I did not want to do this because I was not informed of this process. I have called numerous times and have written to them I'm not committed to this and I want my money back. This bogus contract says 6 months upon written verification they would discontinuing marketing. I have done that well within the 180 days. They have sent offers to me that were outdated and unable to fulfill. They sent offers that there is no availability. Plus, Interval International do not affiliate with Advance Travel Network. I want my money back. I also, certified mail sent to them, and they refused to accept. I have postal receipt of notification to them also requesting to discontinue. They now say too bad they are keeping me in, and I have to wait a year.Business Response

ATN promised to lease a time share stay to one or more of its clients based on my wife's and my ownership of a ******** timeshare and membership in Interval, a time share rental company. We paid ATN $998 to 'advertise' to its clients over a six month period. ATN assured us that they would easily be able to identify a client during that period who would rent the timeshare from us that we otherwise would have rented through Interval. ATN's client would pay more to rent the timeshare from us than we would have paid to rent it, resulting in a monetary payment to us of the difference. We were assured this payment would be ~$2,000. After six months, there was no available timeshare during the several specific weeks and at resorts identified by ATN. As a result, there was no place that ATN's client could rent, and therefore no payment to us. Upon conclusion of the six month period, we asked ATN for our money back but were denied. ATN continued to insist it would provide other resort unit to rent but they have provided none to us since. This arrangement obviously was a scam from the start.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because: ATN closed our file without refunding our money and without finding a lessee for the timeshare. We gave them $998 and received nothing in return. As I said earlier, this organization is a scam and should be closed down. Their most most recent promise to find a lessee, made right before we filed this complaint, was false and insincere.
Sincerely,

I received a phone call from Advance Travel Network on September 12, 2022. I was told they would sell my 4 vacation weeks for $1800 each or $7200 total. I paid them $1596 and was told I'd start receiving offers in 60-90 days. I have received 4 offers since that time but never for the 4 weeks at once. None of the offers have met availability through Interval International, which is my exchange company. When the offer was presented to me I was told there were conventions coming up in the Orlando area and my 4 weeks would sell immediately after the 60-90 day waiting period. This is what convinced me to buy the offer. That has certainly not been the case. I also was not informed how the process would work. It sounded like Advanced Travel Network would do all the checking for availability. That is not the case either. I feel I was coerced into this purchase on false information and certainty of sales. I have called Advance Travel Network every 2-3 weeks asking for more offers and more information about upcoming offers. I'm told "my case is marked Urgent" but nothing has changed. At this point I don't feel the 4 weeks will ever meet the offers and implied certainties haven't been met so I would therefore like a refund of the $1596 fee that I paid. My account # is **********.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because: They are not keeping the promises they offer for getting my rentals sold. I was suppose to get offers last week and have heard nothing from them. At this point, I just want my fee of $1596 back. I was told originally that it was a guarantee my properties would be sold in November due to conventions in Orlando. It is now nearing the end of April and I'm still waiting to get my money. Please refund my fee.

On 7/12/2022 I received a call from Advanced Travel Network employee asking me if I would like to utilize their service to sell my 4 weeks of RCI available through my timeshare. I was told that if the company was not able to sell the vacation weeks in 90 days that the fee would be refunded to me. They would sell the weeks at a significant profit to me. I was told to expect communication about a rental request. I communicated with them on 11/28, 12/7, 12/9, 1/10, 2/27, 3/8, 3/21, and 3/24. Each time I asked about the 90 day contract, I was told it was "reset" every time they sent options for reselling the weeks. They now refuse to pay me back and told me my only option was to sell to another company (7 straight?). This company is a scam and highly deceptive. I am disappointed that I was taken advantage of.Business Response

On December 5, 2023, I received a call from Advance travel network sale agent who convinced me to let them rent out my 4 weeks RCI with $1,800/week. They just need $1,996 for the fee. He said in the next week, he would have some offer right away and I will get the check reimbursed to my home. After I signed the agreement and paid the money by my credit card. I never get any offers by phone or email. When I call them on 03/15/23 to complain about it and would like to cancel the membership. They said they would send me some offers by email. I received 3 offers on 3/21/2023, but all of them are out of the valid places and dates from RCI and I found out that I never could rent any vacation week out from RCI. This is a big scam and deceiving to the new timeshare owner like me. I am asking the BBB Serving Central Florida to help me get my money back and close out this business. Thank you very much. Let me know if you need any additional information. Very Sincerely, **** ****Business Response

I am rejecting this response because:This is a pattern that is exactly like other claims against them, wherein they NEVER rented any of the time share weeks for other owners either. We were promised and the word Guaranteed was used one to one to me directly. "They were going to work on first 4 weeks immediately.... It has almost 5 months and NOTHING, just like your empty promises, I waited as you asked , you said that we would be getting offers between 60 to 90 days. That did not happen at 60 days, at 90 days and noe 120 days and your still hiding behind what you should be doing but have not done, I want a FULL REFUND IMMEDIATELY ....OR I START BLASTING ADVANTAGE TRAVEL NEGATIVELY ON ALL SOCIAL MEDIA, AND i WILL CALL THE LOCAL NEWS CAST AND LET THEM BLAST THIS ON LOCAL TV IN YOUR AREA. I will not give up till your SHUT DOWN.

I entered into a contract with Advance Travel Network in the amount of $998.00 on 1/3/23. It was a cold call, high pressured and full of "it will be so easy". Robert stated he had companies that are wanting to rent my extra weeks (that I can get through RCI) and the rent would cover my yearly dues, so I figured why not rent it out. I am an idiot because I should of know not to pay anything in advance. I was told however, that if they didn't rent out at least a week within 180 days, I would be refunded the $998.
They had me sign the contract over the phone and later when I read it, it says they will try for 180 more days at no cost, it doesn't say I get my money back. I have been trying to call them since and have been "disconnected" and / or not called back since.
I decided to come on here and at least let other people know this is a SCAM, and don't waste your money. If this is an actual company who cares then they would get me my money.Business Response

I received a call from Advance travel Network, Matthew D******, and he told me that if I signed up for $1596.00 that in November 2022 they were having a convention and all my weeks would be booked and I would receive a check in December. I have only received 1 email with offers and that was after i called them and asked where my offers were and why I don't have a check. Well here we are In March, and my 180 days is about to expire at the end of March. On top of that on my profile they have my property listed in the United Kingdom and not the United State, which I have also called about and they said they were going to fix, but still isn't. I have called repeatedly every week and they keep telling me the same thing. " Offers are generating to go out to you this week or next. This company is a complete scam and needs to be shut down. All I want is a refund for what I originally paid into this.Initial Complaint

On August 1st I received a call from Advanced Travel Network employee asking me if I would like to use their service to sell my 4 weeks of RCI available through my timeshare. The employee said that if the company was not able to sell the vacation weeks in 90 days that the fee of $1499 would be refunded to me. They would sell the weeks at $1600 dollars per week. I was to receive communication once the property was advertised and any rental request. I never received any further correspondence from Advanced Travel Network once I made payment and signed the rental agreement. I called and left a message but received no response. This company is using deceptive tactics to lure timeshare owners into giving them money in return for no services.Business Response

I was offered via phone an offer to sell my vacation rentals, by Advanced Travel Network by Advertising and getting me offers to sell. A fee of $1600 was charged for this Service. As suggested on the telephone, there were no offers made to me in 60-90 days. Only one offer was ever made and that too was for the month and day when it was impossible to fulfill after repeated phone calls made by me and a lot of follow up.
In short, there were no efforts made by the company whatsoever to advertise or sell my time shares and no offers were received in spite of a lot of follow up.
The service which was promised was not delivered and I don't think it will ever be delivered.Business Response
