I was told like numerous other people that this company would rent out my timeshare property. I was told I would not have to do anything aside from call my timeshare company to check availability. I was told the average time for a property is rented out is 45-60 days. This was November 2022 when I originally signed up. They would provide properties with dates which I was supposed to call on. I performed their requests around 5 times and was never close to fulfilling their requests. Most of these properties they ask for me to look at have specific booking dates, i.e. Sunday to Sunday and ATN was asking for a Mon or Tuesday check in which was entirely impossible. I was then told I had to keep my listing open with ATN for 360 days which yesterday was my 360th day. I sent an email to cancel my contract and request my refund. Which this was relayed to me on the phone when I originally signed up. They informed me the only way to get my money back is if they successfully book my property out. They falsely represent their product. 45-60 days to have my property sold and here I am 12 months after with absolutely 0 close bookings. Every time you call they will give you the script of "this property is currently being shown at their conventions" The only time you actually get an offer, which once again the offer never amount to anything as the properties are booked or not available for booking the dates they request, is when you call in and try and get an update.Business Response

The Advanced Travel Network *********** telephoned me. They stated and convinced me that they could rent my timeshare, 4 units @ $1800/wk each, as many big corporations needed such facilities when attending their conferences. Each of the few times that they sent 3 offers at a time to me, I had to check with Interval Gold for eligibility. The last ATN clerk that I spoke with stated that "each time we check for eligibility", I stopped her right there and stated that they did not check, I did. The contract is for for 180 days although they opted to extend for another 180 days. #1. My contract states that they need written authorization from me to do so. They did not get written for verbal permission from me, they stated that I MUST wait another 180 days. I called them today, day 360. They state that they are going to re-list again (???). #2. My contract states that they are to give me the name, address and telephone number of interested renters. *** did not do that and so an interested renter rented from someone else for $300.00 less than mine. I would have accepted $300.00 less if given the option, but I was not. Just one of these errors means that Advanced Travel Network has broken the contract. They broke it twice. In looking at previous complaints, it looks like ATN has a response script. They respond the same each time.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because:I continually request a refund from ATN. They act very disrespectful with the words that they use in response to my request; as if to say that they have done this plenty of times in the past and have gotten away with it. You can see from this response that they have no intentions of refunding the $1996.00 that they have scammed from us. The contract has been broken in 2 places that I can tell as a person without a legal degree, there may be more places. In their response to my complaint with BBB they are breaking the contract again. The contract is for 6 months. It is WRITTEN in our contract that they need our written authorization, to market beyond 5/2/23. They do not have written, nor verbal, no authorization!
Sincerely,

On August 22, I was contacted by representatives of Advance Travel Network stating they are partners with Marriott Vacation Club and work with owners to take advantage of flex weeks by selling them to ATN who in turn would sell them via their travel network in 30-60 days.
The price I paid to them for their service, which they claimed was refundable at any time was $1,996.
It has been 69 days since that transaction and I have gotten nothing back from them, have left messages to seek cancellation and a refund per their claims and have nothing in return.
This is a total scam!
All other potential customers need to be warned!!Business Response

My wife and I were told this company would be able to sell our timeshare points for 2022 and earn us money on them. We paid them $2,000 with the understanding that they would provide us with offers and we would have to book those offers. We attempted this on all offers we were presented and it was never successful. We were told there was no risk with this because if they cannot book out our points, the $2K would be reimbursed. It has been over a year now and we are still getting the run around from this company. Every time we call, we get the same response that our account will be ‘escalated.’ We just want our money back at this point but the company is saying we are not eligible for a refund under our ‘new’ contract. I’m not sure why our contract is new as we signed it over a year ago and we were promised our return by July of this year. I believe this company scams people and steals their money and are not held accountable. I wish I had known to look up their rating before we agreed to work with them.Initial Complaint

My complaint is like many others. On February 3, 2023, I was contacted by RCI to sell my unused weeks. At that point, I was put in contact with Advanced Travel Network ("ATN"). I paid $2,396 to ATN to advertise my unused weeks and was promised a return of $1,800 per week sold. During the discussions, I was told I would receive my first set of offers within 90 days. I received my first offers on May 12, 2023, outside of the 90-day period. None of the weeks were available through RCI, and I was told it would take an additional 90 days to receive more offers. On August 7, 2023, I received 3 more offers, but only one of the weeks was available. However, the person seeking the week that was available declined to accept the offer. At that point, I was told I would have more offers within 3 weeks. Now, a month later after complaining, I have received 3 more offers. Only one of those weeks is available, with the other 2 being unavailable. ATN implied that I would have offers and payment with that first set of offers, and now I'm 3 sets of offers along with no hope for any compensation.Business Response

Advance Travel Network is a complete SCAM!!!! I am getting ready to file a dispute with my financial institution after making this report. I signed up on 08/29/2022 after being promised that my timeshare will be advertised and rented at $1800 a week for 4 weeks. I paid $1996.00 and was guaranteed a return of $7200 within 90 days. Well I called in Nov. to check the status and was told that I will be receiving a listing of offers soon. Basically they will randomly send you a list of offers after you call them over and over and the offers they send for you to check is never available. My contract clearyly states 1 bedroom 1 bathroom but they always request multiple bedrooms and or baths which is never avail. and dates that are never avail. I was told give it 3 more months, and then another 3 months, and then within a year I can request a refund. Well I've contacted this company over 50x and it is now 8/31/2023 and I called yesterday to request a refund. The rep sent my request to a supervisor and told me I'd get a call back. Today a supervisor called me and told me that even though I've been waiting a year and even though I've been made several broken promises, and even though I am eligible to request a refund, they aren't going to send me my money back and I need to wait until more offers come around and keep trying. I told the rep I don't want to work with this company any longer, they are very deceitful, extremely misleading, and everything they've told me was a lie and I want every penny back. The supervisor told me well she's not sending it back and if I dispute it they will only fight it. PLEASE PLEASE do not work with this company!Business Response

In August 2022 I received a call from Advance Travel Network in which they said they would rent 4 weeks through my Interval account for a fee of $1996. I was skeptical but they "guaranteed" to have a legitimate system in place so I gave in and decided to give it a try figuring a couple rentals would get my money back.
After a year I have received several "offers" in which none have ever been available when I check. My understanding was that they had everything in place for the rentals, and I was never told that I would actually have to check the availability of these offers.
Now, several months have passed and when I have called, they say they will send more offers but I haven't received any.
I would like a refund of my $1996 since this seems to be a scam in which they promised something but failed to deliver. I believe they get your money and send offers that turn out to be unavailable, then they hope you will give up and forget. I don't feel this is a proper way to do business.Business Response

I was contacted by Advanced Travel Network to list my additional ‘free’ weeks through RCI. I paid $1995 and asked several times that I didn’t need to do ANYTHING else. I was assured several times that they would find me renters and all I had to do was accept the offers. That was March 2023. In July I finally called them as I had heard NOTHING from the company. They gave me a list of three possible rentals but I had to call RCI to check the dates. I was pissed since they assured me in March I didn’t have to do anything. Of course I want my money so I called RCI. The weeks they want you to check our bogus. RCI works off specific check in and check out time frames which none of the offered weeks ever meet. Meaning you check in on Sunday at RCI for at least 7 days but ATN’s offers start on random days and are for less than 7 days or just more than 7 days. Meaning not in line with RCI rental guidelines. So you will NEVER get a rental on your weeks. The whole thing is shady since RCI also doesn’t allow this type of rental which is why you have to call for ‘yourself’ and inquire about availability but not book anything. The whole thing is a scam and I am pissed I felt for it. But they definitely know all the right things to say.Business Response

I wanted to file a formal complain that I am an extremely disappointed customer, and now realize this whole business is a scam. For nearly 9 months, I have been calling, then asked to wait for offers, then I get offers, then I validate availability, only to be told sorry the client cancelled or did not take it for whatever reason. I no longer trust that I will ever get paid, after spending my $2000 or so, and committing my timeshares to your platform. Not to mentioned the hours wasted in calling your support desk. I would like to be refunded my initial payment, and returned my timeshare. Also filing to complaint to save others from falling into this trap.Business Response
