We would like to file a complaint against Advance Travel Network, **** On Nov. 18th, 2022, we received a phone call from ************************* at Advance Travel to rent our timeshare property for 4 wks for $1800.00, per wk for our 2 bedroom unit. We had to pay $1,996.00 for advertising. And if our place was not rented within 180 days, our money would be refunded. ***********************, convinced my wife and I, and reassured us, that this deal could earn us a profit or our money would be refunded. He gave us the impression that he was in affiliation with our Timeshare property with ********. On Nov 18th, 2022, he emailed us a contract and I signed it. Attached are copies of our agreement, SignRequest, and other docs, After not hearing anything from Advance for months, we called them & spoke with ****, CSR, Feb 28, 2023 to ask about our rental income, when to expect pymt & how the pymt will be sent. She told us thats not how the program works. And that she will be sending us an email within a few days to call ********************** for availability & also, it was not 180 days yet. We told her that this was not the info we were given by *************************. We then realized we were duped into a scam. On Mar 6, 2023, we did receive the email from Advance, which listed 3 locations in ** & for ** to contact Interval Intl/sub of Marriott, to find out if these locations with specific dates available for rentals. The email arrived with my signature on it, which I DID NOT sign. They copied my original signature from my SignRequest. This was a con job. We called Advance and spoke with ********* Mar 6,2023 told here Interval had no availability in ** at the 3 locations and the dates she provided and that this was NOT our agreement. Since Mar 2023, we have not heard anything from Advance or A RETURN CALL. Advance has misrepresented themselves and fraudulently took money in a scam. We are ******************** should be stopped from perpetrating this fraud.I hope BBB can help us to get our money back.Initial Complaint

My complaint is regarding Advance Travel Network. As many here have posted, both my husband and I were contacted regarding renting out our weeks from our timeshare. We were led to believe they were affiliated with BlueGreen Timeshare. After several weeks of no contact, I reached and of course was immediately provided with locations and dates, I had to research for the network. At one point, one of the destinations I was provided did not even exist anymore. I asked for a refund of the $1699 fee and was informed I had to wait til the end of my contract. End of contract came and of course, no refund. I was told I'd be assigned "high priority" and of course no contact. I am reaching out for assistance with a refund and as well as an investigation into their business practices due the statement of affiliation.Initial Complaint

On September 2022 Advance Travel committed to sell 5 days stay from my discounted rate from RCI, by promoting and sending me offers from interested parties at the cost of $1,998.00. After three months of signing the contract, I had not heard anything from the company I contacted them and requested an update. I was told that I would be getting an offer soon, 2 months later I called again and got the same response from Advance Travel. After the six-month contract was over they extended it for another 90 days. I called and was told that a manager was going to review the account for a refund. I called a week later and was told my account would be processed for a refund, after a moment on hold to review the account, I was told a manager noted that the account was not eligible for the refund. I requested to speak to the manager, I was told no managers were available, I asked when one would be available I was then told that they are not available and was disconnected from the call. For the last 2 months I have called and called, it takes about 10 minutes to get through and as soon as I do they hang up on me.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because: During the contract obligation (180 days) they only communicate with me at most two times, and at this point I have no faith they will they will do the right thing. I believe they are just hoping I forget about this, and I consider this a loss.
Sincerely,

Please see attached the document proving method of payment and agreement.
On 1/23/2023 I called to find out what had transpired with the weeks they were supposed to sell. I was told it was the beginnng of the year and that the had already started to get quotes; someone would get back to me in a few days to discuss the outcome.
NO CALL BACK AT ALL
In May 2023 I called back and was told the same thing. "They have started to receive vacation request because summer is around the corner and things will be booked quickly. Do not worry thry will be booked and paid for in no time.
NEVER RECEIVED A CALL AT ALL
Today (2/20/2024). I explained the above and told them I just want my money back. That they promised to return my money within three months if the properties were not rented (reason why payment was in Sept.) and that through this date I still had no money recieved from them, no property rented and no call from them.
Put me on hold and upon returning they said that as per "The manager", I coul d only get a free week vacation but no money reiimbursed. I asked them why and she said that was the Supervisors orders and notes. I told her I wanted to see the agreement where I sgned off stating if they didn't sell my weeks they would reimburse me with weeks from another seller and that i also wanted to speak with a supervisor. She said there were NO supervisors available and as to my "agreement ", she's just following what was told from the supervisor.Initial Complaint

Shortly after my wife and i purchased a timeshare in ********* during our honeymoon, I began to receive calls from companies claiming to be able to advertise AND sell weeks of vacation to those seeking. The company would advertise, then send us the offers. This is one of three companies I paid money to advertise and sell weeks for. The only thing I had to do was pay for the advertisment fee up front, which varied depending on the amount of weeks I wanted to advertise. Then supposedly, I just needed to wait for the offers to come in. Unfortunately, I never received any legitimate offers. I did get a few emails saying they had found offers but even more unfortunately I was told that it was up to me to find the availability of the places THEIR customers were seeking to purchase vacations for. This was not the process they explained to me at all. Eventually I stopped receiving return phone calls from them in all. Like an idiot, I fell for this same routine with not 1, not 2, but 3 different companies. I am filing a separate complaint against all three companies with the BBB to help gain reimbursement for money that was paid for services not rendered. Each of them had nice words and fancy promises but none of them delivered legitimate offers, all had poor customer service, and they all refused my requests for refunds after calling. I am still not getting any offers either.... Please reach out to me if you need any additional information. I thank you now for any and all support you are able to provide me in this endeavor.Initial Complaint

I was called by this company (a guy named *****) almost a year ago offering me money to sell my extra timeshare "get away weeks" as they have many people looking for vacation time weeks and needed more inventory. For the cost of ?$650 per week, I exchanged a total of 4 so I paid a lot of money to make this happen. I would receive over $2,000 per week. Yes, it did sound too good to be true but they were so convincing~ I was in the middle of a messy separation and needed money so I was very vulnerable sad to admit....They did state it would take a minimum of 90 days but not more than 6 months for this exchange to take place. It's been 10 months with only offers twice and no reimbursement of a ***** at this point! Please help as I am paying interest on my credit card to make this transaction even possible.Business Response

I am tired of waiting for them to make good on their promises and it is just a scam

On April 4, 2023 we were contacted by a sales person Andy from Advance Travel Network offering to rent our RCI points and we would make a profit on the rentals. We would have to pay $1,500 up front and within 30 to 90 days we would see a return of $1,500 or up to $5,400 for the rentals of three rentals. If, there were not rentals in the first 90 days we would be renewed at no cost until we received the first rental. We did not receive our first offer until July 27, 2023 after I contacted them very upset that I hadn't heard anything until this point. I heard every apology and excuse under the sun. They said our contract was going to be resent to us to renew at no cost. Again no contact again for September 7, 2023 to sign the new contract. Still no offers at this point. October 10, 2023 we received an offer. All the requests were unavailable. We were promised another offer in two weeks. Weeks go by with no contact from Advance Travel Network. November 6, 2023 and again on November 29, 2023 after no response I contact them again with a nasty email. I get a call that night stating you will get an offer soon. December 5, 2023 an offer comes and again none of the properties requested are available. Since this date, I have not heard a word from Advance Travel Network. I emailed them again on January 31, 2024 with no response. This prompted me to look them up on the BBB and saw that others have complained about the same situations as we have been going through. I mean exactly the same. I would like my money back that is all. I have all the evidence of my contact with them and the signed contracts. Conveniently the links to the signed contracts and offers do not exist anymore. See attached emails and documents.Business Response

Complaint: ********
I am rejecting this response because: The last communication was and offer email on Tuesday, February 13, 2024 that resulted in negative results and followed by a promise to resolve the issue in two weeks. This is the response I get every time I get an offer that doesn't produce a rental to get my money back. If their goal is to resolve my issue, I should be getting offers every two weeks or less, like they promise, until it gets resolved. Not every time I complain which still will take a month or more. From what I have seen from the other complaints on the BBB, they have had the same issues and same results, empty promises.
Sincerely,

ATN offered to rent our timeshare options for a period of 180 days for $1,996. We were told by the salesman, ***, that in the event the rental didn't occur, we could request a refund of the marketing fee. When we received no rentals, we requested a refund after the 180 day time period. We were told at that time, per the contract, they could continue the contract for another 180 days & could request another refund at that time. After confirming this in the contract, we resigned to having to wait another 180 days. After the second 180 days was up, we requested a refund in writing only to be called by *****, the "head of customer service", that no, in fact they don't give refunds after the first 10 days per the contract. She mentioned once that we our money back via more marketing but then later would not share how that happened. She replied that she would "look into what we were told & get back to us tomorrow" (2/1.).We are requesting the refund of our "marketing fee" as promised on at least 2 occasions.
