We were contacted by Advance travel Network a year ago about selling some of our unused timeshare weeks. We were charged $2196 and guaranteed that they could sell them for a net gain to us of around $7200. We were contacted twice about properties; they said that neither option suited the prospective buyers. We asked for a refund on 8/28/2023 and were told that we had to have them listed for at least a year before they could/would authorize a refund. We called and requested a refund; at which point we were told that they would continue to market our property and no refunds were going to be given( its not in the contract). I requested to speak with a supervisor , one called the next day and reiterated that no refund would be given; but they would move they have stopped accepting properties and have moved us to the top of the list to market. I gave them 30 days to complete their job.Initial Complaint

Much like all the other complaints, this business cannot and have not fulfilled their commitment. I have talked to management who last promised to refund my money in November 2023 but still nothing. The only contact is when I call only to be told they have 47 requests for rental and my is first on the list. *********************** refuses to talk so they use a different upper management to call. *** received on two calls in two years promising refunds. This is another Florida scam that needs to be shut down.Address given:Advance Travel Network ***********************************************Initial Complaint

We were contacted by a representative named *********************** from ATN related to renting out the free additional weeks we receive through ********************** as part of our ********************** ownership. We were advised that the weeks would be marketed & if were not rented out within 180 days, we could request a refund of the $1996 we paid. We signed the contract while on the phone with the representative after a length question/answer session. We received 4 offers but given the dates they requested were not available through Interval, the units could not be rented. At the 6 month ***** we requested a refund at which time we were told that per the contract, they would not issue a refund but had the right to market for another 180 days. At the end of those 180 days we could request a refund if the weeks had not been rented. When the 2nd 180 days was up, I requested a refund. At that time, we were told by a representative that NO refund would be issued per the contract outside of 10 days post signing. After going back & forth for a year, I ended up filing a complaint with the Florida Attorney General and Better Business Bureau. I also called my credit card company and reported the charge as a SCAM.Initial Complaint

On 8/18/23 I was called by *********************** regarding my timeshare rental. She said that the company she worked for, Advanced Travel Network, would help sell my timeshare weeks. The contract was to give them 6 weeks and they would rent them within a 180 day period. If they were not rented within that period, they would refund my money. The company did call me with some weeks to see if the timeshare had them available, but they didn't. They told me my weeks were going to the top of the list for rental. That was many, many months ago. It is well past 180 days and the weeks have not been rented. I called ATN today and spoke with ******** and asked for my money back. She "spoke with an account manager" who said that I couldn't get my money back but there were potential weeks coming up." I stated that I have had no contact from ATN about potential offers and NOW there are some in the cue? I reiterated that ****************** had said that the money would be returned. We went back and forth. She spoke with ********* an account manager who said that they actually have one year to rent the weeks because at the top of the contract it says 6 weeks for one year. The contract does say that after 180 days I can ask for ATN to renew the advertising for another ************************** WRITING. I didn't ask, but am now being told that they automatically renew the advertising at their expense and that after that 180 day period I can have my money back. I stated that it does not say that in the contract, nor does it say that if I don't ask in writing they will automatically advertise for another 180 days. She said they do and that I can get my money back at the end of the year if they don't rent. I asked for that in writing. She said they can't give that to me in writing because it's in the cotract. But it isn't in the contract. She "escalated the claim" and someone is supposed to call me back when they are available, but ******** doesn't know when that will be.Initial Complaint

I signed a contract on August 20, 2022, based on information I received from ***************** who was representing Advance Travel Network. I paid $998 up front for the services. I was told they would rent out four of my RCI timeshares annually for a profit of $1800 each. ************** said that this would begin no later than 90 days (my wife was on the call with me and witnessed it). When I had not heard from them after 6 months, I called them. Soon after, I was sent inquiries of three properties and dates. None of them were any good. After several months, I called them again with the same results. It has been a year and 8 months with many calls. I have called several times this month and asked for a refund with interest and was declined. I am now in the process of initiating litigation. I gave them a chance, but now I am going after them for the total amount I was promised yearly plus damages and attorney fees. I see that the BBB has had a significant number of others who were also defrauded.Initial Complaint

They are scammers. They call you and guarantee timeshare getaway rentals. If no sales are made they say verbally that they offer refunds. I have called them, emailed and reached out to the FL **************** to file a complaint. They need to be stopped. This is illegal.Initial Complaint

Date of transaction Aug 28, 2023. Advanced Travel Network - Claimed to be from Marriott, but in fact they are an "advertising" scam. I've been requesting refunds since October 2023 and January 2024 (emails attached). I paid $1999 to sell my Marriott timeshare weeks, but Marriott is not affiliated with them. They will not reply to email, all verbal (calls only) promises, like a full refund, they now claim a partial refund (22%) because too much time has passed.Initial Complaint

MARCH 17TH, ********************************* THAT FOR $1149 UP FRONT, THEY COULD SELL MY EXTRA TIMESHARE WEEKS FOR $1800 A WEEK, AT A MAXIMUM OF 4 WEEKS. THEY GUARENTEED IT WITHIN ***** DAYS. WHEN THAT DIDN'T OCCUR, THEY SAID THEY REALLY HAD 180 DAYS. WHEN THE 1ST 180 DAYS WAS UP, I WANTED A REFUND, AND THEY SAID THEY REMARKETED IT FOR ANOTHER 180 DAYS, EVEN THOUGH MY CONTRACT SAYS I HAVE TO GIVE THEM WRITTEN APPROVAL, WHICH I NEVER DID. SO THEN MY NEXT OPTION FOR REFUND WAS AT THE 1 YEAR ***** WHICH IS TODAY, AND NOW THEY ARE SAYING THAT THE ONLY WAY IM GOING TO GET MONEY BACK IS BY THEM RENTING OUT MY WEEKS, WHICH IS A COMPLETE SCAM, AND I READ OTHER REVIEWS THAT MENTIONED COMPLAINING TO THE BBB, SO IM HOPING YOU GUYS CAN HELP ME.Initial Complaint

Advanced Travel Network on 11/30/2022 called explaining this great opportunity to rent my getaway extra vacations available through ********************** (II) Marriott membership. I would pay the exchange fee upfront at $599/unit, they would send me offers and rent the unit for $2,100/unit. I bought 4 units. They had a convention ready to book and he thought the Flower Show in April 2023 should be when I would get my payout. Signed the contract 11/30/22, 4 units, and charged $2,396 to my credit card.I contact them regularly and they 'want to get me paid out and will contact me when offers are available.'Have since learned from other BBB complaints filed this sounds like a scam, where they were misleading, provided false promises, and there was a total lack of transparency in the processes and offer. Need assistance from BBB in getting a refund as you have with other similar complaints.Initial Complaint

I was contacted on 10 October 2022, by ***********************, regarding my marketing extra vacation weeks, provided through Wyndham Travel, through Advance Travel Network (ATN). According to *****; ATN is authorized to work directly with ******* owners. I was not certain of ATN's direct association with *******, but it did seem that ATN had access to all our Wyndham information (number of annual points, ownership information, etc), so I believed that ******* would have had to supply them ATN the information.I had four (4) extra vacation weeks available. After speaking with *****, he convinced me that if I were to authorize ATN to market the four extra vacation weeks, and provide them $499 for each week up front, ATN would guarantee I would receive $1800 per week for a total of $7200, or I would receive a full refund of my $1996. ***** told me that ATN had 180 days to market the weeks, however he fully expected I would be paid out in the next ***** days. After the 90 days had passed I contacted *** and was told offers would soon be coming. I received the first offer sheet on 3 Jan 2023. I checked on the three properties ATN sent me on 3 Jan 2023 and nothing was available. After 180 days passed they told me they had another 180 days to market the weeks, but they expected to pay me out in that time. After one year passed and I asked for a refund, they told me they would pay me out by marketing the weeks, I email them monthly and receive a callback from a manager telling me they expect to get me offers soon, but I receive nothing. There appears to be no end to this, I have been duped into this contract and I understand I may never see a dime back, but if there is anything you can do to pressure them to return my investment of $1996 as promised, it would be appreciated. I have uploaded an email trail showing each call and response I have had from them.
