In June, I made a reservation through American Forces Travel (Priceline) I bought a bundle that included airfare, hotel, and a rental car to travel to *********, ******, on the ***************************** website, I made my reservation with Hertz I opened the website, Hertz has many prices I choose an economical car $59.99 per day, my big surprise was when Hertz sent me the receipt I noticed that were changing me the double and triple for two days for seven **** the total was $796.95 which is $113.85 per day and $159.39. When I saw these overcharged prices first, I called *************** Travel customer services and asked them to provide me with a copy of my Reservation with Hertz; they refused I continued calling them and even sending emails with the receipt of "****************" what does Hertz use as fictitious name, now what I know is that ***************************** (Priceline) they complicit with Hertz to steal and defraud customer who in good faith put their trust in these companies whose sole objective is to steal, defraud and scam against customer, the reality is that **********************, it is supposed to be to help veterans plan their vacations but with these thefts the interest is lost.

My Hertz Reservation K98331982F9 Member Number:******** Subject: Complaint Regarding Hertz Rental Experience Hertz appears to be operating a "Bait and switch tactics. In conversation with the physical location and on the phone with Hertz Reservation Booking. They point the finger at the other ti blame as they continue to charge and deduct funds knowing in advance that the vehicles offered during reservations isn't available. Then they tell you a vehicle should be in within a few hours.I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with my recent Hertz rental experience at the **************, ** location. My original booking confirmation number was K97507754C0.I had booked a reservation well in advance and received a confirmation. However, when I called to confirm the reservation and change my pickup time, I was informed that the company had charged an old card and required me to show my current card and ID. This was despite the fact that both cards were attached to the same account. Instead of simply changing the order, Hertz insisted on canceling and recharging for a new reservation, promising a refund within 7-10 days.On the day of pickup, I arrived 30 minutes early to find that the location had no available cars, only SUVs at a significant upcharge. Despite calling multiple Hertz numbers, I was unable to obtain any assistance or alternative solutions. Due to my scheduled time constraints, I was forced to upgrade the rental. Canceling the reservation would have resulted in an additional 10-day hold on my funds.I am deeply disappointed by Hertz's business practices and lack of concern for customer satisfaction. I believe that the company's actions were both inconvenient and ********* new reservation number is K98331982F9, and my member number is ********.I request a full investigation into this matter and appropriate compensation for the inconvenience caused.Thank you for your prompt attention to this complaint.Sincerely,****** *******

This process has taken so long. I rented a 2024 ****** in SMF to drive to ******, **. Close to my destination an orange alert sign flashed "Malfunction" "please pull over carefully and stop car." The next am I called Hertz to come get the car. They came. I asked about a replacement. I was told to call Hertz SMF. I did for 2 days. All calls went directly to VM. I was also calling customer service for 3 days who also told me to call Hertz SMF. Finally one agent asked a supervisor. I was then told to contact Roadside Assistance. ** tried to get me a Lyft but I'm way out in the foothills and nobody took to call. They then contacted a private cab company and because Hertz didn't have a contract with them, I had to pay $241.25. I was told Hertz SMF would reimburse me. (They could not). I had been communicating with Hertz customercare but it all seemed to be AI generated because they didn't seem to get it. I wanted my cab ride refunded and I wanted recompensation for not having a car for 2.5 days. I started contacting Hertz ************************** who said to call back in 7 days. I did. It hadnt been resolved. She resubmitted case ******** and said someone would call me. They haven't. Finally I sent the original customer care a copy of my cab receipt 3 times.first, they didn't get it, then it was too faded, then there was no record with roadside assistance. Finally they approved my request for a refund 3 weeks ago. I haven't received it. I've never heard back from Hertz Executive customer service which was supplied through the BBB, I still want to discuss the whereabouts of my cab ride reimbursement and a refund for not having a car for 2.5 days. I'm being forced to select a star rating. 1 star is too **** stars

Horrible customer service, horrible vehicle and bad experience! Vehicle was not available at reserved time. When vehicle became available an hour later, that vehicle had dents scratches, a cracked grill and other broken parts on front of vehicle. When I explained to the agent the damages on the vehicle were unacceptable in addition to being late, agent abruptly said he was voiding contract, leaving me stranded.

I reserved a car and stood in line for over 2 hours for a car (with my 6 year old son and no technology for distraction). I was the lucky one who would accept an EV car. I got the car dirty because they were quickly turning cars around as soon as they were returned. The tire sensor was on, so *** brought it back inside and filled the tire. Later that night I needed to refill tire and then refill again. They were closed on Sunday so I couldnt call and the tire went completely flat on side of road. I had to get it towed because EV cars dont have a spare. They charged $290 for towing for their own faulty tire and then tried to charge me for a full week rental when I only had it 2 days. Their customer service is atrocious. I spent multiple hours on the phone to be given promises of escalation and no further communication. When I requested the towing receipt for my credit card company they refuse to give me any more than the line item on my regular receipt.

Got a car and confirmation email a week ago. Somehow ended up with 2 cars. Called the phone number on the email and they got it figured out. Told me all we would need to pick up the car was my husband's ID. Got a call less than ********************************************************************************************************************* 500 in the bank as a deposit... ended up with canceling the reservation and now have to scramble to leave town on time today. Thanks for nothing.

We pre-paid for a rental car in *****. When we tried to pick up our "reserved" car, the teller told us it had been rented already the the new car would be an extra $350. Then he added $90 for a full tank voucher that I said I didn't want. NEVER RENT FROM HERTZ. They new we had no choice but to take the car- bait and switch scam artists. The corporate help line is 100% useless.

The price to extend my rental by one day through the website was very different from what they told me when I picked up the car. Hertz makes it nearly impossible to talk to a human. No one ever picked up the phone at the location where I got the rental. I was only able to talk to a human by calling the *** line. I said that the cost to extend was very different from what they said at the counter and he said I needed to call the counter then. I told him I called the counter multiple times and was not sure if I even had the correct number. When I asked him to confirm the counter number, he said I could go online and look it up. When I kept explaining that I was not sure if I had the right number online, he just kept saying that he couldn't give me the number. What kind of customer service is this?? If I knew what I know now, I would have rented from a different company.

So first off I got a good deal through uber marketplace or so I though. I got a Kia Niro 23 but it wouldn't charge anywhere. After fighting with them for 14 hours they finally towed it to lambert airport 30 miles away and traded for a Kia soul 24. Everything seemed good. I went up to the local office that Friday to extend or renew. I was told they keep getting a message saying I don't have to renew it does it automatically. I said um ok...same price they said yes. But now they charge me $82 a day not 289 week. I call several numbers and am told I am late that's why and they font deal with uber. But I rented from uber marketplace. Tierd of arguing guess I'm going to budget. This would of been a rental for another month or do their loss
