I purchased impact windows for half of my house. After the installation I proceeded to contact them to purchase the second half, this was in September 2023. I kept emailing them about the order and when it would get installed. I got the run around until June, in June I was told by ***** that they would contact me to deliver and install. It has been total radio silence from them, I have called all their various phone numbers and they are all disconnected, I have sent several emails to everyone whose email I have in the company. No one responds.Initial Complaint

**** installed new hurricane window and door on August 16, 2024. Found out they never pulled a permit and when asking them about it they say just give it time and they will get the job done. Still waiting on the permit and final steps to complete the job. Other customers have told us that the company is going out of business and they have had complaints about them as well.Initial Complaint

On March 17th, 2024 I signed a contract with ****, they sent on 29th of March someone to do final measurements. I was told lead time 7/15/2024 (4 months) come 4 months, nothing, said ******* come ****** said mid/end august that they would wait for product to arrive in the warehouse (no product was ordered). Come Sept I get a call from ***** (first time I had ever heard from them initiating or calling) of **************** saying that there was an issue internally at **** that caused change in terms with *********************** and had no timeline and my order was on hold. Then that SAME day I get a call back saying she spoke with owner and they can "switch" manufacturers and get a lead time of 6 weeks with my verbal consent, no paperwork required. I asked any changes to be sent over so I know what I would be switched over too and a new agreement (my old one had Mr ******* No new agreement has ever able to be provided despite multiple attempts to get one. Went by the office closed with boxes packed. To this day no permit has been applied for even though they collected more then 10%, and no product has been ordered. There was never proactive contact to me as the client, always me reaching out, Any questions regarding order and permit, or timeline ignored. Asked to be relieved of agreement as they are in breach 193 days later with no product ordered and requested initial money returned, was told they could not cancel the agreement and the only way was thru my attorney and mediation even though I asked this PRIOR to any order being placed and they are in violation of Florida Statute Section *******Initial Complaint

I signed a contract with Alco *********************************************** on May 16, 2024. My contract stipulated an accelerated lead time of 8-12 weeks and was signed by the owner of the company, **** *******. I provided them with a $13,750 deposit per my contract. Since then, I have only received updates when I've initiated contact with the company. On July 30th they sent me an email in response to my inquiry which said my windows would be completed (manufactured) by the end of September. I emailed them again on September 11th for an update, but my email went unanswered. I called the customer service contact assigned to me (***** ********) on September 18th to get an update. She indicated that my windows and doors were not done and that she could not provide an update beyond that. During the call, she also relayed that she was not aware of the correct window manufacturer and lead time as specified by my contract. She indicated that she would speak with her manager and get back to me. That has yet to occur and I am unable to get a response to my emails and telephone calls. Their main phone line disconnects you without the ability to speak with any employee.Initial Complaint

I am writing to file a formal complaint against ALCO Windows and Doors concerning a contract I entered on February 8, 2024. The contract involved the replacement of eight windows in my home for a total cost of $15,000, divided into two $7,500 loans. These loans were obtained through **********, as directed by ALCO Windows and Doors, and the funds were turned over to ****, leaving me responsible for repaying the bank. I was required to pay the first $7,500 as a down payment, purportedly to cover permits, window inspections, and the purchase of the windows, with the remaining $7,500 to be paid upon the installation of the windows. Despite this arrangement, as of today, September 19, 2024, no windows have been delivered or installed, yet I am still obligated to make monthly payments on the loan. Now, seven months later, I am left without the windows, and my requests for updates have been met with repeated delays. I have tried to resolve this issue by contacting ALCO Windows and Doors via phone, email, and text. Despite my persistent efforts, I have not received the promised windows. My recent request to cancel the contract and obtain a refund has been met with silence from the company, aside from a verbal conversation with the manager, ***** ******** who implied that I would need to seek legal action to resolve this matter. This companys actionsor lack thereofconstitute a clear breach of contract, causing significant financial and emotional distress. Their failure to fulfill their contractual obligations while continuing to hold me financially liable is unacceptable and harmful to consumers.I respectfully request that the BBB intervene in this matter to ensure that ALCO Windows and Doors:1. Immediately cancels the contract.2. Reimburse the $350 that I have paid towards the loan.3. Facilitates the closure of the $7,500 loan with **********, ensuring I am no longer responsible for any further payments.Initial Complaint

I agreed to purchase impact windows and doors from this company on March 21, 2024 and was invoiced $26,956. I paid a deposit of $8,000 upfront via financing through Momnt/****************. I was given a timeline on my order for completion from ****** days. We are now over the 180 days and I have been unable to reach anybody at the company to better understand status of the order. I have left numerous emails and called their line directly, but nobody is there to take the call. I am concerned about my order and completion of my project, and do not feel secure about the deposit that I've already put down. Without any additional information or updates on status of my project, I am concerned that this company will be able to complete my project.Initial Complaint

I put down a 50% deposit with Alco Windows on October 3rd, 2023 for them to supply and install an impact double front door and 2 windows. The *** for the company told me at the time of sale that the installation would take place in January 2024. I have contacted the company multiple times by phone in January, April, June and July and every time was given excuses about delays on the manufacturer end. The *** for the company told me on the phone that the permit for the job will be pulled once they receive the doors/windows. They pulled the permit in April 2024, which was approved and about to expire, however, they did not have my doors/windows on hand at the time the permit was pulled. According to my contract the windows manufacturer was Mr ****** We finally contacted Mr ***** at the end of July 2024 to find out that Alco Windows never placed our order. After informing Alco Windows that that windows manufacturer does not have our order, they finally placed the order with Mr ***** on July 31st, 2024. Yesterday, 9/17/2024 we received a call from Mr ****** attorney to let us know that they will no longer honor orders from Alco windows, which includes our order. I reached out via email to Alco Windows on 9/17/2024 requesting a refund. Its 2 weeks short of a year since we gave them 50% deposit on the job and have not received the product. Im at a loss on what to do at this time and how get a refund of our deposit since we were told by the glass manufacturer directly that they will not honor any more orders from Alco Windows. My front door is warped and is a security/safety issue. We cannot continue waiting on Alco windows to find a new glass supplier, not to mention that they have not be honest with us all along. We would like to receive a refund of our deposit.Initial Complaint

I Purchased impact windows and doors from Alco Windows and Doors on October 26, 2023. As of today, September 14, 2024, No work has been accomplished. And I have been given a complete run around for months. I was told by the sales agent, ***** ********, eight to ten weeks which I thought was pretty quick. End of January came and no word, so I called my customer sales agent, ***** ********, who said they should be installed by the end of March. End of March arrived and got another answer that it normally takes 100 to 180 days for production of windows. At this point the only reason I was getting upset is that no one ever called me to keep me informed on anything. End of March, I called again and another excuse, your order is estimated to be completed by early May. Orders take ******* days to be completed. We don't expect further delays. End of May, called, now it is the end of July. At this point I decided to visit their office, one person there and she had no information, but promised to contact manager, **** ******* who would get back to me. Still waiting for that call, so I tried to contact the founder, ******** still waiting. **** has been paid in full for my project back in October 2023. I financed the project through a finance company they work with. Finally, I received my first phone call from **** in July saying my job should be completed by the end of August. Still waiting. I have been calling ***** ********, ************ and no one has yet to call me back. I called Mr. ****** the manufacturer, and was told that my work order has not been started yet and when they do, it takes on average, six to eight weeks to complete. What did they do with my money? I am done waiting.
