On July 24, 2024, I contracted with Alco Windows and Doors through their representative ****** ******** to do a bathroom remodel (tub to shower) and was assured that the company has been doing this work for years. Financing was secured through one of the finance companies working with **** (Momnt) for the sum of $9, ****** and $4,574.88 was paid to Alco *********************************************** on July 26, 2024 (Receipt #. ***********). On August 19, 2024, I was told by ****** ******** and ***** ******** at Alco *********************************************** that the work would be done on September 30, 2024. On September 28, 2024, I inquired about the work to be done and was informed on September 30, 2024, that the materials had not been received. I requested proof that the materials had indeed been ordered and as of today I have not received requested documents. There has been no communication with ***** ******** at Alco Windows and Doors. On October 28, 2024, I requested return of funds received ($4.574..88) either to the lender or to me and have not heard from ****. I have no trust in this company and would like to be refunded.Initial Complaint

I agreed to purchase an impact front door from ALCO WINDOWS and DOORS April 2024 and was invoiced $11,500. I paid a deposit of $3000 upfront via financing through *****. I was given a timeline on my order for completion. We are now over the 180 days and I have been unable to reach anybody at the company to better understand status of the order. I have left numerous emails and called their line directly, which is disconnected. I am concerned about my order and completion of my project, and do not feel secure about the deposit that I've already put down. Without any additional information or updates on status of my project, I am concerned that this company will be not able to complete my project. Drove to their office and its closed up, website has been taken down.Initial Complaint

Writing to seek either the immediate installation of the Windows and Door package or complete refund for the work that has yet to be rendered per my agreement with Alco Windows and Doors on 7/16/2023 which was paid in full in the amount of $42,740.86.We have made several attempts to contact your team via Email, Phone and in person, outside of three interactions with the owner of **** ******* by means of an impromptu office visit, we have yet to see any action taken by **** to provide us with the products outlined in our agreement. Per the agreement the lead time should not have been any longer than 180 days, we have surpassed that by 298 days as of 10/27/2024.I would like to see the owners make a good faith effort to either properly install our windows and door package or issue a refund in full for the total amount paid, along with interest and fees accrued.Initial Complaint

I received a mechanical lien on my property in October 2023 for $9,380.03 from Mr. ***** Windows who provided the materials to Alco Windows and Doors to install them in my house. I contacted **** to ask them about this lien and they assured me that they would handle it and remove the lien. A year later, now October 2024, I received the same lien against my property. From the year that I spoke with Alco they have not paid Mr. ***** Windows. Speaking with a representative on the phone, this representative refuses to provide their ******************** contact's information, and has advised me to seek legal counsel. This is appalling, unethical, unprofessional, and a clear mismanagement of funds.Initial Complaint

BEWARE !!! ... On January 3, 2024, I entered into a contract with Alco Windows and Doors, LLC (License #***********, for the purchase, replacement, and installation of impact glass windows and doors at my property. Upon signing the contract, I promptly paid the full contractual amount of $16,649.00 for the project. On March 14, 2024, I provided **** with all required documentation, including my Associations approval letter, the signed permit application, and the Notice of Commencement (NOC). Despite numerous unjustified delays and countless follow-ups on my part, **** did not place the order with the manufacturer, Mr. ****** until July 25, 2024. At that time, Mr. ***** projected a completion date of September 19, 2024. However, when I inquired about the status on September 19, 2024, **** failed to provide an update. After multiple follow-up attempts, I received a response on September 27, 2024, stating that the new estimated completion date was "late October," with no explanation for the additional delay. On September 29, 2024, I received notification from Mr. ***** *********************************************** ******************, stating that they were no longer doing business with ****. Upon further investigation, the manufacturers attorney informed me that my order was never produced because **** had failed to pay them for other completed ********* a result, 7 months have passed since I provided **** with the necessary documentation, and ******************************************************************* been completed. On October 3, 2024, I formally notified **** via email and **** Certified Mail to cancel my contract and issue a full refund of the amount paid. To date, I have only received vague assurances that my case would be "escalated" without any firm response.I now believe that I am being scammed and, unfortunately, it seems other customers are facing similar situations. This matter needs to be fully investigated, and **** must be held accountable for its business practices.Initial Complaint

I'm currently being scammed by the company Alco ************************************************ I signed a contract with them on December 29th 2023, to install impact windows at my ********** property. Since then its been endless delays and excuses as to why theres been no progress with getting the installation started. Their latest excuse is that **** is in a legal dispute with the company they subcontract to manufacture the windows, which is Mr. ****** This is after months of communicating with the owner of **** (**** *******) since July 19th, 2024, who falsely claimed they would complete the installation after the legal dispute is settled with Mr. ***** and they can retrieve the windows. Since September 23rd 2024, **** has stopped taking my calls or replying to any of my messages. Ive since received a letter from Mr. ***** dating September 19th 2024, stating that their relationship with **** has been terminated and my order for the windows will be canceled. Ive tried multiple times to get **** to cancel the contract and refund what Ive paid, but they are refusing to do so without going through mediation with lawyers. The contract I signed with **** is for $18,434.09. *** already paid $8,434.09, to the financing company *****. Ive tried getting my money back from *****, but they say I can only get the refund directly from ****. Im now afraid that **** will take my money and never complete the job. Additionally, I was approved for a $10,000 grant from the My Safe Florida program, which Im now in jeopardy of losing if the job isnt completed by the deadline of December 22nd, 2024. There are many reviews on BBB made in 2024 by other customers who have been experiencing the exact issues of delays, the job never being completed and the customers losing their money. All I want is for **** to complete their contractual obligations and complete the job I hired them to do, or cancel the contract theyve breached and refund what I have paid.Initial Complaint

On June 2, 2023, I happened to have had a representative from Alco Windows come to my place to measure the windows and I was given an estimate. I happened to obtain a loan in the amount of $11,000.00. I was told that the windows would be installed within three months. The date today is October 10, 2024. The windows have not yet been installed, and I was told by the manufacturer who happens to be Mr. ***** that the windows are done and that the windows happen to be at their warehouse from lack of payment. I told the representative from Mr. ***** that I am not going to be making any payments towards the loan or to Alco Windows. **** has not followed what they promised. One year and a half has passed and the windows have not been installed.I tried having the order cancelled and I was told by one of Alco Windows representative that I could not cancel the order because the windows were being manufactured. ****'s representative lied to me because the work order was submitted on April 9th. On that day I happen to threaten to cancel my work order and that was when the representative chose to submit the work order, but since then the windows are still at the warehouse from the manufacturer. Also, the loan has started accruing interest rate and I was told by **** that the loan would not accrue any interest from 24 months. One more time Alco lied and did not comply by the contract. I am asking for the order to be cancelled and for **** to pay the loan in full.Being that this company is not loyal, I do not want to continue on dealing with their running around and their lack of seriousness.South Florida just went through massive hurricanes. No one can rely on a company like **** who is not determined to be loyal to its customers.**** has employees who are determined to lie to the customers just to keep the customers. All I ask is for the loan to be paid in full and for my work order to be cancelled. If this is not done, i will pursue **** with a law suit.Initial Complaint

I signed a contract with **** for a fairly large project for installation of impact windows back in 4/8/24. They estimated about ***** weeks for completion. We called in July for an update and they said that it would be done by the end of September. We called again after labor day and they said that they were going through management changes and that they were going through and prioritizing projects. We called again in October and they still said they did not have a timetable. I sent 2 emails to their general manager without response. At this point I am seeking legal counsel for breach of contract. I would like a full refund for this and as I am writing this we are going through hurricane ****** and will have to purchase wood to board up the windows because of not having impact Windows which should have never been an issue in the first place.Initial Complaint

In October 2023 I agreed to receive two hurricane/storm (2) sliding doors, one (1) front door, and two (2) windows at my residence. The salesperson ******* stated that it would take approximately three to four months once the *** approved the job. I agreed to finance the package for one (1) year no money down and no interest, meaning the balance must be paid by October 2024 to avoid interest charges. ***** ***** at ALCO Windows and Doors assisted me in getting approval from my HOA. The job was approved in January 2024. The package was not installed in June. The date was pushed to July and then to August. Lastly it was pushed to the second or third week or September 2024. This date expired with no contact from ****. In fact, I have to contact them (***** ********) to find out if there is a new date. On September 29 and ****************************** ***** to speak with someone but to no avail. I was advised over the phone, that is a warehouse address. When asked where I could meet the owner or supervisor of the company, I was advised by Ms. ******** that everyone works remote and she could provide his email. I declined that offer and told her how disappointed I was with this situation and that over $16000.00 has been paid. She cannot provide any information on when this situation will be resolved. and that the problem lies with another party they employ. We are now in the middle of hurricance season and nothing has been accomplished. I advised her to have the owner call me today (Sept 30) however, nine hours later and no phone or email from him or anyone else. I have no faith in this company and do not want their services. I would like a full refund.
