I contracted with Alco Windows and Doors on June 12, 2024 for impact windows and doors. I financed $20,000 with MOMNT a finance platform through Alco Windows and Doors of which **** required $12,000 of it for a deposit. I did not receive my new windows or doors and the company cannot be found. They stole my $12,000!! So far I have paid $6500 towards this loan and am still responsible for the remaining $5500. I am a senior citizen struggling to make ends meet and who is still responsible for paying back this loan. I want my $12,000 back.Initial Complaint

On 5/11/24 ***** **** from Alco Windows went to my house to sign contract for my impact windows and doors for a total of $16571. He offered me financing through *****. The amount of $4125 was given from Momnt to Alco Windows for downpayment.Since June/24 I made payments to Momnt online for $30.90/month till Oct/24. After Oct/24, the payment was increased to $53.64/******** house is in a close community. The permit from my HOA was submitted to Alco Windows on May 18/24.From May to November I sent emails and make phone calls weekly in order to ask for an update regarding the installation day. ***** ******** from Alco Windows answered must of the calls, "my order was no ready yet".After November Alco Windows stopped answering calls and emails.On November 5/24, for my surprise, I received an email from Detective ****** ***** from *****************************, regarding a fraud investigation against Alco Windows. I answered the email with all the information I had.Momnt is already aware of the fraud case going on with Alco Windows, since my info was obtained by the Detective via subpoena from Momnt. It surprise me, that Momnt knowing there is a fraud going on with Alco Windows is still charging me every month for a service I had never received.Since I still dont have answers from Alco Windows and Momnt is still charging me every month for a ghost service I never received, I looked up online for Alco Windows contact info. **** ***********, answered the phone, he said he is an ex worker from Alco Windows and they are filling for bankruptcy and **** ***********, he asked me for my info and promise to call me back, he never did. I went physically to Alco Windows office (***********************************************************), and the office is empty and the next door bussiness told me they left the office some time ago.What should I do to stop paying for a service I never received?Thanks *****Initial Complaint

Hired Alco to install a new french door. 50% deposit and indication that the job would be completed early September. Followed up in September to find out the project is on hold and no *** for completion. No response or resolution on the completion of the job. I can only assume the company is facing liquidity problems so they are booking jobs with no intention of completion until they can resolve the cash flow problems. Very shady and non-responsive business currently despite prior positive reviews.Initial Complaint

**** installed 7 impact windows over 2 years ago. About 8 months ago I noticed that the glasses on 4 of the 7 windows had become cloudy. When I called they sent someone to measure the windows and said they would replace them. Repeated calls failed to be answered until they finally gave me a date. They did not show up. Repeated attempts to contact ANYONE in that company have failed. Most of the time the call does not go through or a recording states that no one is available to respond to leave a message. The actual windows were from ECHO and supposedly had a life-time warranty. Please help me.Initial Complaint

On 5/10/24 I paid a 50 percent deposit, in the amount of $1350.52, to Alco for installation of an impact glass door. It has been over six months since my order was placed and **** has not delivered my door. No one at **** answers the phone. No one at **** returns my many phone messages. Ive been trying to contact the company on its registered phone number to understand the status of the work on the contract we signed on 06/06/2024.The window was supposed to be installed by the end of September but I havent heard from anyone, and the phone appears to be disconnected. Emails are also unanswered. On August 29, 2023, I signed a contract with Alco Windows and Doors for installation of new windows throughout my home located at *********************************************. After monthly calls and texts to the Alco Project Manager in charge of my project asking for updates on the progress of this job, as of this date (November 5, 2024), I still do not have an order number from Alco indicating that the windows are in production. The loan I took out to pay for this project was paid in full by me on August 1, 2024 so as not to incur any late fees. Nobody from **** has contacted me with any updates, and as of today, the Project Manager is not responding to my inquiries. I believe, at this point, Alco Windows and Doors is in breach of contract, and I will be taking further action to get reimbursed for the total amount of the loan that I paid off in full. It is evident to me that this company is not operating in an honest manner, and I no longer feel confident doing business with them.Initial Complaint

**** has been committing fraud on a large state scale. Entered into contract 05/11/24. No windows have been installed and the finance company window already expired so I am on the hook for money. No communication, clear hiding. I have filed a report to *****************, Florida department of regulation, **************, and will make more reports.
