On March 4th, I arrived to Stanton Optical with intention to purchase a pair of glasses. I asked the lady at the counter cutting lens, if they took Evolve from Ambetter. She said laughingly yes and no. We ring those up the same as ********* I then picked a pair that I liked and proceeded to the table to get fitted. She then beginning ringing up the lenses. If my frames are free upto $130, I showed owe 9$ the lenses should be free unless there is additional charge for whatever lens was put on there. I did not pick, I was asked only did I want the ones that go to sunglasses and I said no. 225$ for a pair of glasses i get theyd be more for bifocals but my insurance was not added at all.Business Response

Save yourself the headache and go elsewhere.I went in on 1/28/25 for an eye ******** subsequently purchased #2 pairs of glasses.The technician did my exam incorrectly, so the glasses I received made my vision worse.I went back on 2/17/25, and got a second exam by a different technician - & of course it was different. They then told me that I would receive new glasses to match the new prescription.Well here it is the end of day on 2/25/25 & I STILL don't have any glasses.I called & was told that my glasses haven't been shipped, there is no information on what the hold up is, & there is no info on when I will receive my glasses.For a company that advertises SAME DAY GLASSES, this is absurd.I asked for a refund so that I can go elsewhere, & she said that she will grant a $10 refund. (my refund should be $79)It's already weird that the eye exam is VIRTUAL, but I thought: "Don't knock it til you try it." I am rejecting this response because:There was absolutely no resolution offered. They simply said that they would "contact me". It's already been more than a month since I walked into their office.
I no longer wish to give Stanton Optical my business or money and would like a full refund.
I should have received a FREE eye exam with the purchase of #2 pairs of glasses.
My eye exam was botched - & after returning to the facility, they ordered a corrected set of glasses - which I still do not have. I called and asked for a refund, but I was only offered $10 - even though I paid $79.
BAD BUSINESS. I would like a FULL refund.

Dear *********** am writing to formally file a complaint regarding my recent experience with Stanton Optical located in *******, **********. On Saturday, February *******. I scheduled and attended an eye exam appointment at this location. However, my experience has been extremely disappointing, and I would like to request a refund for the services *********** the appointment, I did not see a doctor, but rather a technician who conducted my eye exam. Despite expressing concerns regarding the accuracy of the prescription, I was given a prescription that is significantly different from my regular one. Subsequently, I was provided with contact lenses based on this incorrect prescription.Upon receiving the contacts, I immediately noticed that they were blurry and uncomfortable. I returned to the store to report this issue, only to be told that my eyes simply needed time to adjust. However, despite giving it time, the contacts remained uncomfortable and blurry. Given that my prescription has been consistent for years, I am confident that this issue stems from the error in the prescription provided.I paid $161.00 for the eye exam and contact lenses, but I am very dissatisfied with the service I received. I did not see a licensed doctor during my appointment, and the prescription provided was inaccurate. I received a promotional email saying I was promised 2 pairs of same day frames, free eye exam for $79. Too good to be true I called them and they confirmed so I set the appointment. Found out the location this was happening at and called them just to extra sure! Sure enough that was a waste of time. I went to appointment, did the eye exam and I walked out the the store with 1 pair for over $500 that would take 2 WEEKS to complete!! Because I already took the exam which was 3 hours, picked the frames, sat through all kinds of bull c*** I said "why not y'all done held me hostage at this point". I walked out without any frames, over $400 more spent that advertised on a single pair of frames. They said pick out 2 pair that were coded "blue". Both pair ran me over $1,000. Which is why I settled for a single pair out of despair (I can't see without my glasses). This company preyed on my disability by providing false promises and then charged me 5 times the advertised amount. I feel violated and betrayed and this business should pay for preying on hard working honest people!Business Response

I went in on Saturday February 16th for an eye exam that was supposed to be a promotional offer that included a free eye exam and 2 pairs of glasses for 79 dollars. After taking the eye exam and picking out my glasses I was informed that " my vision was too bad to qualify for the promotional offer" and my glasses ended up costing over 300 dollars. Well I couldn't afford that but was pressured into putting a down payment of 211 dollars. I went home and started shopping around online and found a place that offered glasses at a much more affordable price so I called the store Monday morning and was told the manager had to be there for me to get my down payment back and they would call me the following morning, Tuesday came around. No call. So I called the customer service number who said that they tried calling the store but got no answer so they would make a note that I'd be in wed afternoon to get my deposit, I went to the store Wednesday which by the way is in a whole other town then I live, when I got there I was told once again that the manager wasn't there and they would call me first thing the following day, again I got no call so I called customer service again who said they couldn't issue refunds and it had to be the store, so I contacted the store once again and once again was told the manager wasn't there and they would call the next day. This has been going on for 4 days now and to be perfectly honest at this point I'm ready to use this company even knowing that it will cost me more then the deposit I'm requesting a refund on just based on principle. They say there's a 30 day money back guarantee, that's c*** So fair warning to everyone thinking about doing business with this company, they manipulate lie and don't follow their own policy on their so called guarantee. I am rejecting this response because: even after writing my original complaint I went back to your store on Saturday the 22nd and the manager there who's name is Nicole was both rude and unhelpful. I have escalated the issue with you our corporate who keeps telling me it will be handled in 48 hours and the manager for the store which is located on 1604 and potranco in *********** is the most unhelpful and you professional not to mention incompetent woman I've ever met. I'm sure that this kind of thing is probably handled in a better way in your other stores but as far as this goes as long as you have her working as a manager your likely going to have issues after issues, but that's your problem. My problem that after all this time energy and headache not only have I still not been refunded but Im still walking around/ driving around while unable to we because I don't have glasses. Why is it's hard to just give me my money back don't understand how this could possibly require so much time on ur end . Just refund me. Today. Please. I'm at the point where I'm ready to take you to small claims court and also sue you for breach of contract for not adhering to your own money back guarantee ,and for whatever legal fees it will cost plus you in my time and energy . So today the owner of ****** optical did reach out to me to apologize for my bad experience and is going to issue my refund today. So when all is said and done that's all I ever wanted. I'm glad it was acknowledged that the people working at the store did not do their jobs right and I was given an apology and my situation has been remedied. So I'm no longer angry and sincerely appreciate the acknowledgement and apology from the owner. I do however still think he should consider changing management for that store but as o said on my earlier message that's not my issue it's his. Well, this company is very fraudulent and lie to customers. They claim that you get same day glasses and that is false. I was told that they would make the glasses the next day and the other in 3 days which never happened. After 2 weeks they called and left a voice mail. When I returned the call, they were very belligerent and hanged up the phone I called many times they would just hang up. I will not accept any items from them because they lie and they know that they cannot produce the products within the specific time ; they just need to be honest. They need to issue me a full refund because this is false advertising. They must inform the consumer if it takes more than the allotted time to have the product done. They they have failed to do so. ***** who claims to be the manager has called my phone many times threatening me , well I had to curse him out ; he told me that he filed a police report which will make be feel scared. All they did was call and left messages saying that they they filed a police report. I do not accept any apology from them and I will never contact them. This is steal and theft. I will contact the local news to have this business in the news for the entire nation to know what they do. They will have to issue a full refund immediately. I did not pay for any eye examination. I paid for the glasses and lenses which I did not receive and furthermore; there was no transparency because they never indicated that the cost of the glasses were non refundable and there was a cost any exam. The exam is free and one pays for the glasses and lenses. This is what the agent stated. As you see they are liars and they use unethical practices.

On 1/6/2025 I purchased 2 pr of glasses (2 for 1) and 2 pr of contacts. As of 2/13/2025, I have to receive 1 pr of the glasses. I have made several calls and multiple visits to the store. I have been told over and over that my glasses are either in process or they have been sent to another lab. I have gotten 2 emails saying my order is complete only to go and not have my second pr of glasses available. That happened again today. I asked *****, the manager for a refund as I have not gotten my glasses - he was willing to do a store credit for the second pr. I DO NOT WANT A STORE CREDIT, I WANT A CREDIT TO MY CREDIT CARD. Date of transaction- 8/31/2024 1st trip- had my eye appointment and picked out a pair glasses and order them. 9-15-24, went to pick up glasses. I was off work so I didnt need the use of them until I tried them on to realize the prescription was completely incorrect. Took them back, they kept my glasses and when I went to pick them up for the second time, the prescription was incorrect. Took them to different Stanton optical in ********** off of ***********. They said the prescription was not correct and that they would send them to get the correct prescription. I explained to them I was returning back to work on January 9, 2025 and I needed them before that. I called them January 6, they told me that one of the lenses was broke and they had to re-order a new one. I have called customer service multiple times and Im getting nothing but the runaround. They keep giving me excuses, they do not call back. I want a refund. This company is not legit, they play games, they owe me money and I never received the product. This is stealing. I got and eye exam and two pairs of glasses for ***** they tried to charge me almost $300 I told them I came for the ***** promotion, reluctantly they changed the price then tried the same thing with the frames even though I chose the color group instructed, told me they were almost $100 more. Got through all that paid for my glasses and got them put them on and I cant see out of them I was told that was normal to wear them and I should see a difference so I did I wore them till I was seeing double with huge headaches my eyes actually cramped felt like told them and they said it was cause I couldnt get the correct prescription w the promotion but these lenses should be fine for me I was dumbfounded I asked for my money back and they will not refund my money even though the promotion clearly states a money back guarantee and on top of all that I was never even given the prescription lenses I needed I was given whatever I guess and it cause me some pain for sure so not sure why I would pay anything to these people or why I would continue to go back and argue with them and let them continue to cause me pain and maybe even health problems or accidents the manager is rude and dismissive and I dont want any further contact from Stanton optical at all and even calling the customer service numbers I get the run around they tell me to wait 48 hours every time called and never give a call back or anythingBusiness Response
