1 starThe broker tried, the movers where absolutely terrible. They show up 6 hours late with a broken truck that had two different expired license plates from different states. 2 people showed up for a full service move. Immediately started to try to up charge and refuse some of my items. After careful review of the contract they saw what I had listed was there. They finally got the truck gate moving even though every time the gate moved the break lights came on.(I cant make this up!!! Actually happened!!) the truck leaked hydraulic oil all over my driveway. I actually measured everything to within 1/8 in my house, removed some things at the last minute and did the volume calculation of the truck off the data tag on the box. They tried to tell me I had half the truck but I actually had all of it but the last few linear feet. The loading was one issue but the unloading was *************** at about 7:00pm they showed up with my stuff. While straightening out payment the movers boss very rudely called and said I had 10 minutes to give them CASH or they where leaving. While on the phone with safeship customer ********************** they left with no warning. An hour later they came back after several phone calls and some doing and basically made us unwrap everything (I paid for full service move) and put everything together. I had several crushed boxes nothing too valuable was broken, but they basically tossed everything in the garage. Then after being 6 hours late, very rude and us doing half their job they had the stones to ask for a tip!!!Broker did what they could but needs to find better movers!Safe Ship Moving Services LLC

We are sorry your moving experience with the Carrier was less than satisfactory. We can assure you that we vett every carrier thoroughly and would never do business with a Company that had a problem of this nature with any prior Customer. Our Carrier Vetting Process is comprehensive and thorough.
Every FMCSA Authorized Carrier we work with must be fully Licensed, Bonded and Insured. We consider reviews and complaints but heavily depend on our Customer's Personal Experience with Carriers.
Due to your dissatisfactory experience with the Carrier, we have removed the Carrier from Dispatch Registry, Filed multiple Complaints on your behalf, launched a Carrier Delinquency Investigation as well as Customer Satisfaction Ticket in an effort to rectify the situation and keep this from happening ever again.

1 starI used this company because it said it was veteran owned and I always support veterans. I was told I needed to measure any boxes or tubs to be able to get their sizes which I assumed would let them know the amount of room I needed besides all the other stuff I had. The guy who set up my account never returned calls or emails. My deal fell thru so I called them and they said they would remove that date and to call when I had a new one. They never removed it and no matter how many times I called them I was still getting emails for the old date and even had a mover call to say he was coming on the old date as well. When the real date finally came and the guy showed up he charged me ******* extra saying I needed more room even though I had measured boxes and tubs and had nothing extra then the list I had given them. He called the company and they said that could happen. I told them no one had ever told me that, and that's something they should mention, and unfortunately i had no choice because I had to move. The mover also wanted to deliver the same day even though I was told they would not deliver until the next day, which is another reason why I went with them. I would never use this company again or recommend them. I have warned many people about staying away from this company.Safe Ship Moving Services LLC

All estimates are based on the moving needs (household goods inventory, extra required services, desired pickup and delivery) provided by the customer during the setup process. The preliminary Estimate is just that, an Estimate.
We provided the estimate based on the inventory list that was provided to your Logistics Coordinator at booking. Upon pickup the carrier revised the estimate based on the space needed to transport the additional articles and increased volume. As specifically notated in our contract, any additional space, packing materials or services needed are at an additional cost. The estimate is a powerful preliminary guide to determine the initial volume but what what you are paying for is the space used on the truck.
Loading and packing a moving truck requires a lot of time, energy, and knowledge to get all your items safely on the truck. The moving team needs to make careful calculations to maximize the space and prevent damage. There are items that cannot be stacked and not all items may perfectly fit together causing what known in the industry as "Fault Space".Safe Ship Moving Customer ********************** will be reaching out to assist in any way possible.

1 starI will never recommend this company to anyone. As a broker, they don't do any of the actual packing or moving. They give you an estimate (which changes every time you talk to them) and they subcontract to local companies who do the grunt work. The local company sucked. And that's putting it mildly. They didn't show up until 4:00 p.m. the day of the move -- no explanation or phone call as to why they were late. When they arrived, I was informed I couldn't move any liquid products. I had to have all of my cleaning, laundry and personal care products shipped because I didn't have room to bring them in my car. They forgot items because no one did a final walk through the house to make sure everything had been packed. Items were broken because they weren't packed properly. The day my furniture was delivered, one guy showed up to unload. He didn't speak English, complained about the number of boxes I had and took 4 1/2 hours to unload. It was a good thing I live on the first floor. When I called Customer ********************** to complain, the woman hung up on me. It was a horrible experience.Safe Ship Moving Services LLC

We apologize for any experience you had that was less than satisfactory with Safe Ship Moving. We take all customer feedback seriously and strive to provide the best possible relocation & moving services available.
Safe Ship Moving Service is a Broker. It is plainly listed in our paperwork, on our website and marketing material. We would never misrepresent ourselves as a carrier.
All Customer ********************** Representatives go through a rigorous training process and are highly trained to handle any customer or situation. We will initiate an internal investigation to determine why & how the call was terminated.
We try and avoid damages at all costs and there is a claims process in place to compensate for damages. We recommend filing a claim for any articles or pieces that are damaged or missing. Please keep in mind that you can only file one claim per move so, we encourage you hold off on filing your claim until you have gone through every piece of your shipment.
Your satisfaction is of the utmost importance and we would like to assure you that we will do everything in our power to rectify the situation. We value your patronage and hope to have the opportunity to serve you again in the future.
Thank you for bringing this to our attention.Review fromJessica O.

1 starTHIS COMPANY IS A **** DO NOT, I REPEAT, DO NOT HIRE THEM!!!!!! They will give you a very affordable estimate off the bat, and then 2 days before your actual move they will do a "quality assurance check" and they will tell you to OVERESTIMATE your belongings just to "be sure there is enough room on the truck" and the price will double. they will assure you that the final inventory will be taken upon arrival of the actual mover and any space that is not used the price will be reduced. HOWEVER, once the mover actually arrives you will learn that is NOT THE **** and the price is 100% locked in and CANNOT BE LOWERED, however it can be INCREASED due to "packing supplies that are not part of the original estimate". they'll tell you all of your stuff will break if you do not purchase these packing supplies and they won't load the truck without them because of insurance reasons. additionally, the company they send out is a random subcontractor, which could be great or could be awful. luckily the one they gave me was good, but as you see in other reviews some people are not so lucky. ** *** *** ******* **** ***** *** **** ***** ***** ******* **** ****** **** ******* ** ******* *** ******* *** *** * *************Safe Ship Moving Services LLC

We are tremendously sorry your experience with Safe Ship Moving Service was less than satisfactory. All of our Logistic Coordinators go through a rigorous training process. All estimates are based on the moving needs (household goods inventory, extra required services, and desired pickup) provided by the customer during the setup process. The preliminary Estimate is just that, an Estimate. Moving is a stressful time and most people are simply incapable of remembering & identifying every single thing they plan on moving. Safe Ship would never increase a Price without increased services or Inventory.
Thank you for allowing us the opportunity to address your concerns. We will use your feedback to identify training opportunities. Thank you.

1 starSafe Ship Moving is horrible. I am an old lady familiar with long standing MOVING COMPANIES (my husband and I moved 19 times) and didnt realize I was talking to a broker. First mistake. They couldnt tell me when they would puck up or deliver ahead of the day. They promised my delivery 20 days before it arrived (interesting that there fine print says within 21 days, which they would have been over if not for Christmas). Grandchildrens gifts in shipment. They lost items, broke items, fail to respond, lie, and charge substantially more than the estimate. Cant say enough negative things. They should be shut down. All that said, the workers/truckers they sent at both ends were fine, if not particularly skilled. I suspect they put an ad in newspapers for anyone willing to rent a truck and drive part of the route.*******************************Safe Ship Moving Services LLC

1 starMoving broker, when things went VERY wrong with the movers they assigned (MC Movers), I was told I could only submit a complaint via email, which I did, but never received a response. Safe Ship estimated very low, movers charged $2k more.Read your contract VERY carefully, as you can not pack items in your dresser drawers etc. EVERYTHING must be packed in boxes, including yard items, hoses, rackes etc. Then your items are moved from truck to truck to truck. Mine changed trucks /drivers 3 or 4 different times which of course lead to broken furniture and lost items. Final delivery driver was very rude, and again, Safe Ship will do NOTHING to ************* a claim. They will not even acknowledge your complaints about Safe ship. Over all - extremely disappointed.Safe Ship Moving Services LLC

1 starHonestly, at 31 years old I have never dealt with the insufferable amount of jackassery this company does. I was promised to get a price match plus 10% if I can find another quote for cheaper. I did. They refused to honor that fully. They refused to work with me on ANYTHING! I moved to a larger city and they refused to just use a semi to bring my stuff (I see semis at the grocery store next door daily) because of their incompetence (they said its up to the discretion of the drivers and if the drivers cant do ************** then we should be charged $387 more for their incompetence. NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER USE THIS COMPANY. If I could give a 0 star, I would.Safe Ship Moving Services LLC

2 starsFirst, Safe Ship is NOT a moving company, they are a broker. They will collect information regarding what you are moving and give you an estimate of cost. They will collect a deposit and tell you someone from quality control will call you 2-3 days prior to your move. When you get that call, they will go through the inventory you provided in the first call. Most likely they will ask new questions at this point and start adding up all the "extra" stuff you didn't mention before. All of a sudden you have a new quote and increased deposit. So now you have paid one non-refundable deposit and are being asked to pay more a few days before your big move, which is already very stressful. You are now faced with the decision to pay more and hope for the best or forfeit your earlier deposit and start over with little to no time left. They count on you paying. SO you do. This is only the broker fees, the day of moving whoever they have coming to get your stuff will required their own payment, half before loading, half before unloading. And they will consistently try to add on extra charges, sometimes after your stuff is loaded or right before they unload. I was told this would not happen as the movers "worked for them", not accurate. Once the moving company has your stuff they will do what they want. Yes, Safe Ship can stop using them if they get too many complaints, but who knows. What this boils down to is hire a company who owns their own trucks and you are only dealing with them.Safe Ship Moving Services LLC
