      Move was requested for a family friend who was diagnosed with cancer on 09/16/2025. She was moving from ** to **. This person passed away on 09/20/2025. No services were rendered and will not be rendered. The person who has passed away used the card without permission for the amount due. Safe Ship Moving allowed this person to use a credit card that was not in their name and with a forged initials for billing purposes. Safe Ship Moving is refusing to refund any of the money that was fraudulently processed by them.

      If could give less stars I would. After agreeing and signing a shipping estimate in April where we were slated to move in June, safe ship contacted my wife barely a week before the move and bullied her into a new contract saying that they had not detailed the quantity of our belongings correctly. And since it was now later in the year we had to pay for summer pricing. On top of that the new contract they changed the coverage amount from full coverage to the minimum coverage. By the time we got our belongings half of my Warhammer models were broken two of our totes were missing and we were in possession of another family's belongings. This couldn't have been more of a clown fiesta if it had a red rubber nose and was riding a unicycle.

      long-distance move. While pricing can change based on the scope of the
      move, there are some other factors that can cause change in pricing per
      say, if more space is needed. I apologized once again if the process

I am very satisfied with the resolution that she and I agreed to and I would like to specifically callout the work of ***** ****** from Next Relocation as she assisted me with this process earlier in the year as well as now during resolution. I have nothing but high praise for the both of them and their endeavor to put this matter behind us and I will be updating my review to reflect that work.

      There were around $1000 of hidden fees added to my move, they told me it would take approximately 10 days to arrive but it took over a month, my boxes arrived wet and damaged

      My family arranged for an interstate move from ** to ** on June 26, ******* first, we were quoted roughly $4200 during a run through of my items. Four days before the move, I called to add 5 small boxes and they quoted me an extra $1000. MD Interstate Moving LLC arrived at 4 pm on the 26th, and didnt finish my move until 11:30 pm.The two movers didnt have tools to disassemble my items, they dropped some of my boxes, and handled boxes labeled fragile upside down. Plus, they held my items hostage on the truck until I paid $8973.86. My delivery came on July 3 through a sister company of MD, but it was h*** They dropped several of my boxes and rested furniture and boxes in puddles of water, and worst of all, several of my items were missing. I had to play a terrible waiting game with the dispatcher of the move, and a second truck with what was supposed to be the remainder of my delivery came at midnight on July 15. Still, several things were missing! I lost an expensive rug, a trash can, stone garden decor, and a fourth of my wardrobe, among other things. Then, MD lost the screws for the items they finally disassembled (with a knife!!!), so Im paying to get these things re-assembled. Im paying more to replace the items they lost, on top of the exorbitant fees I already paid.After complaining and calling several times about these items, Safe Ship has practically rinsed their hands of it and said in writing that they cant assist with claims since the move was executed (albeit poorly) by a third company. My family hired Safe Ship to do what it advertised itself as: a reputable broker that works with only vetted, legit moving companies. Instead, they assigned a joke of a moving company that scammed me out of more money, had rude customer service ***** and lost and broke my things. BOTH the broker and the movers are responsible for this mess. I implore anyone considering Safe Ship to stay far away and save yourself the tears and money.

      This company is a scam. Once they get your money, they refuse to answer questions, phone calls, hang up on you when you do, and do not call you back when promised. This occurred on multiple occasions. They over promise and never deliver while lying about facts.They will take your money months in advance and then claim that services were rendered when you try to cancel due to their lack of customer service and professionalism. They make big promises and fail to deliver. They make it incredible difficult to cancel even then and their staff will attempt to coerce you to use their company. It took about a week for them to finally respect my wishes to cancel after multiple emails and a phone call where their staff was very rude. They even claimed I didnt call them the week prior when I did and they failed to return my call again. Their staff also lied about the phone conversation in the email response to me when I addressed their bad practices and coercion. Despite not using their company for the move, they will still take your money, refuse to return it. Then the owner will make a written false accusation that you committed friendly fraud when filing a complaint with your credit card. The reason for the file was because of their inability to follow through on questions and concerns therefore causing me to completely loose faith in their company.They use pressure tactics and predictory sale practices in their business to get you to sign up with them and then toss you in the trash after. Then they repeatedly fail to deliver or address concerns or questions. I did not use safe ship for my move and they got over 5k off of me for zero services despite them claiming otherwise. Complete scam.Avoid this company at all cost!

      I am rejecting this response because:  It does not solve the issue.  I would like a refund.  My number order number is DX6855655.  I was promised a service that I did not receive.  Predatory tactics were used by your company and many false promises were made.  I was told I could contact your representative with questions and concerns at any time prior to the move and during the move.  Instead, I was hung up on immediately after they picked up the call, phone calls not returned, lied to, and left hanging which caused me to lose trust in your company months prior to any moving services were provided.  I did not use your company for my move due to your company's lack of trustworthiness and inability to communicate and follow through with questions and concerns even PRIOR to my move.  Many false promises were made and the service that I was promised didn't exist.  I did not use your company for my move for these reasons and due to your predatory tactics I was told I could not have a refund.  I find this disgusting in business practice.  Also, your company made it very difficult to cancel and it took multiple emails over a week and a phone call where my 5k was waived in my face multiple times that if I did not use your company, I was going to lose it.  I explained multiple times that I already lost faith in your company and your personnel attempted to coerce me to use your company by repeatedly telling me that 5k is a lot of money that I'm going to lose.  And the cherry on top was that the OWNER of the business accused me of friendly fraud when I challenged it.  The way this company operates is disgusting and takes advantage of people needing to move.  Never give money to a moving company or a broker (especially safe ship!!) months ahead of schedule.  They will leave you abandoned on the wayside with your questions and concerns after they get your money.

      I am rejecting this response because:  The situation has not been rectified.  Sadly, this is the first time the company has reached out and attempted to rectify the situation but they are barely now looking into it.  This is a huge red flag and it's sad that it took a complaint on the BBB to get their attention.  I attempted to address concerns before but I was met with silence, denial, lack of accountability and false accusations.  Truly abhorrent behavior.  They get your money and toss you aside.  They also promoted the individual who treated their customer this way.  Nothing short of a refund and a change in their business model to treat clientele better will suffice.  No customer should be treated the way that I was treated and the manner in which I was treated.  I stand by my previous statements.

      I contracted with Safe Ship Moving Services (USDOT *******, MC *******) for my move from **********, ** to *********, **. Without my permission, they subcontracted No Borders ******************************** (USDOT *******, MC *******), who forced me to sign a second contract at pickup on 6/28/2025.I paid $1,449.25 to Safe Ship and $982.19 to No Borders (total paid so far: $2,431.44). The full contracted amount was $3,413.63. Delivery was initially promised by 7/20/2025, but No Borders refused to provide a new delivery date, leaving me with no timeline for my property. Before delivering my goods, No Borders demanded another $982.19 upfront, even though the contract states extra charges may only be assessed after delivery. As of 9/10/2025, my goods have still not been delivered.Issues: Failure to deliver goods in a reasonable timeframe. Holding property hostage by demanding unlawful pre-delivery payment of $982.19. Refusal to disclose the location of my household goods. Threats to withhold delivery unless I pay $982.19 in advance. Forced to sign a second contract with No Borders without consent in order for them to pick up my items. Financial and personal hardship: I had to buy a replacement bed and rent storage. As an elderly person awaiting hip replacement surgery, this has caused extreme stress and hardship.This conduct violates 49 U.S.C. ***** (Household Goods Hostage Violations) and the ******* Amendment.Requested Actions:1.Immediate delivery of all household goods without requiring additional payment.2.Investigation of Safe Ship and No Borders for unlawful practices.3.Reimbursement for the replacement bed and related expenses caused by delay.This situation is urgent and unacceptable; immediate action is required to prevent further financial and personal harm

      They are liars they change the price at the second phone call after I jump through hoops sending videos of everything I own they guaranteed me a solid price but when they called on the phone for the last phone call they wanted to change the price. I sent videos to everybody of all of my belongings so they can make a professional decision. I spoke with the owner on the phone today and they are willing to give me half of my money back only if I take down my reviews. They are liars and thieves do not go near this company! I spoke with several members of their teams and they assured me over and over that my price would not go up unless I added items. I did not add anything the associate hardly went over any of my belongings and they immediately told me I needed more space. They'll give me half my money back if I take down the reviews isn't that nice of them for doing no work whatsoever lying to me over and over guaranteeing the price and now they only want to pay me half the money they owe me.

      I contacted safe ship moving company in regards to moving a storage unit from ********** to my home in ***********. The company advertised the business as veteran owned and operated and being a veteran myself I agreed to work with them. After paying ******* we agreed on my pick up date from ******* to be 12 May 2025. I was told my things should arrive in no more than 21 days from pick up.on 9 May 2025 I was charged an additional $272.56 for extra truck space. When my things were picked up on 12 May I was charged an additional $500 and $1000 by ezee moving service. After about a month of calling with no response they finally got in touch with me but it was not ezee nor safe ship it was moving with a pro moving company. They were requesting another $1572. When I refused they said they would not be delivering my items.

      I spoke with the sales representative at ******** who very kindly offered to assist with my move from *******, ******** to **********, **. He provided me with an estimate and was eager for me to engage the company's services. I told him that I did not know the exact move-in date; that it would be somewhere toward the end of September or the beginning of October. He said that it would be perfectly doable, that the company would keep it in storage and when I knew the date, to let them know, and they would promptly deliver it. Moving my belongings out of my apartment to the storage facility in ******** went smoothly. Or so I thought, until I called Encore Moving and Storage, the local moving company that ******** contracts with, to deliver my things to my newfound home. Not once did the sales representative mention that for out-of-state moves, they cannot guarantee delivery on a specified date. However, when I called the provided number, they informed me, to my dismay, that they cannot guarantee delivery on a pre-specified date. Rather, they can only guarantee delivery within a two-week window!Alas, I would have never engaged SafeShip (and through them, Encore Moving and Storage) had I known of this material term. I believe that omitting this salient detail amounts to deceptive and illegal marketing practices proscribed under US law, and I ask for the ************* Business's assistance in getting me my money back, from both Encore Moving and Storage Services (***************************************************) and SafeShip, the middleman mover. At the broadest level, I believe this deceptive conduct violates the principle of good faith and fair dealing underpinning all of US contract law. See Restatement (Second) of Contracts 205. Furthermore, this conduct flies directly in the face of Illinois Consumer Fraud and Deceptive Business Practices Act (ICFA), which prohibits concealing or omitting material facts in a transaction.
