1 starThats the worst moving company. They are pushy to get you lock into a contract, promising there will be no surprises, then they increased the price once and at the day of the move the subcontractor by 100%. The subcontractors were unfriendly and smelled like marijuana. They also did not want to finish loading until they had received 50%. When they delivered, they did not want to start until they had the rest of the money, again smelled like marijuana. When saying something they had an attitude. When I filled a claim for some broken things I never received an answer, neither from the contractor nor Safe Ship Moving.I can only advise: stay away from Safe Ship Moving!!!!!!! 1 starOnly limits to **** characters so I'll hit the bullet points:They'll verbally tell you whatever they need to in order to get the estimate procured Once paid, at every issue, they or the movers they'll hire as it's not their company moving, will point the finger at the other and most issues will go unresolved unless more money is given to one or the other.The estimate was changed multiple times and you'll be told pay or lose what you've paid.Our initial was between $4500-6000 and it was over $13000 when it was all said and done.Our stuff was delivered broken. Our golf cart had a mattress on it resulting in it getting cracked and the frame dislodging. Our freezer dented and cracked. Our $1200 bike brake dented and chipped. The majority of our boxes were smashed even when marked fragile, also delivered upside down or on their sides. Items delivered only to garage, not inside or put together as described. Items were wet and damaged. Bed came without the protector plastic it shipped in, now unusable. Other mattress protector was torn, also unusable.Golf clubs bent and covered in adhesive, both from tape.In order to file a claim you have to use their third party service, when you ****** them they'll pop up under fraud and scams similar to both SafeShip and MC Movers LLC.***** has responded to our claims and we suspect we'll never hear from them or recoup any of our losses. The drivers on pickup, after having us sign a document that mentions they would not ask for a tip, asked for a 5% or 10% gratuity, after asking for $2400 increase on our pickup.We still have yet to receive our BOLs from either company.They try to get you to accept photos instead of carbon copies.They will verbally guarantee things and then when it comes to it will say look at the contact you signed. Its a company that thrives on vulnerable individuals in tight situations and they don't care about the customer based on their actions.Review fromMathias K

1 starDo NOT use Safe Ship. Learn from my horrible experience and find a different moving company. The initial quote seemed amazing and a representative helped me with it all over the phone. They said it was very rare for the price to go up upon pick up because the overestimate the space needed. Then after committing and paying a deposit we received a call a few days before pick up and guess what, the price had increased when we added most commonly forgotten items. This should be a list they go over with at the time of quote not 2 days before pick up. So we had to pay an additional deposit for the added space. It only gets worse from here. Upon pick up they walked through and said it would all fit on the truck.. it did not, only half our stuff did. Long story short they had to make 2 trips and our price more than doubled from the original quote. To make matters worse, the customer ********************** representatives are rude and unapologetic. We were told we could just leave our items there if we didnt want to pay more. When I expressed my frustration to them for underestimating our space I was fed the same line over and over; we cant account for large and bulking items. So even when you tell them exactly what you have to move which include large and bulky items (which I did) they do not account for the space on the truck. The moving team that was sent to us had ZERO respect for our property and many items were damaged and broken including my 5 month old daughters crib that was literally shattered. They also delivered our second truck at 10pm at night. We had to make arrangements for myself and my two young daughters to sleep somewhere else because we were told they would not come back if we couldnt accept our items at that time. The amount of disregard they have for you once they have your money is disgusting. I have no clue how they are rated the top moving broker. Save yourself the stress and your money and stay clear of this company.Safe Ship Moving Services LLC

Thank you for your honest and thorough critique of your moving experience. All estimates are based on the moving needs (household goods inventory, extra required services, desired pickup and delivery) provided by the customer during the setup process. The preliminary Estimate is just that, an Estimate.
We provided the estimate based on the inventory list that was provided to your Logistics Coordinator. Upon pickup the carrier revised the estimate based on the space needed to transport. As specifically notated in our contract, any additional space, packing materials or services needed are at an additional cost. The estimate is a powerful preliminary guide to determine the initial volume but what what you are paying for is the space used on the truck.
Loading and packing a moving truck requires a lot of time, energy, and knowledge to get all your items safely on the truck. The moving team needs to make careful calculations to maximize the space and prevent damage. There are items that cannot be stacked and not all items may perfectly fit together causing what known in the industry as "Fault Space".The moving industry is a difficult industry to traverse and carriers can go from great to bad overnight with something as small as hiring a new crew or over stretching their means with the purchase of a new truck. This of course did not make it acceptable, after review of your experience it is clear that we can no longer trust this carrier to be a part of our network or service Safe Ship customers.
We try and avoid damages at all costs and there is a claims process in place to compensate for damages. We recommend filing a claim for any articles or pieces that are damaged or missing. Please keep in mind that you can only file one claim per move so, we encourage you hold off on filing your claim until you have gone through every piece of your shipment.
