I'll add my experience to the list. The online user interface looks like it was developed in the 2000's and has not been updated. After leaving my organization and begun the dispersement request the website kept freezing. Calling them did no good. It was not until I did some trial and error that I realized I there was a required field I missed. A few lines of Java code would easily fix it.But, here's where the unprofessionalism gets truly frustrating. My personal disbursement check arrived with my name in the "Pay to the Order" section twice, "First name Last name First name Last name." This caused my bank to put a 7 day hold on the check (for funds I need for shelter and food) for fear the check will be returned. All because their mail merge payment system has a glitch in its printing. I will likely be charged over draft and late fees that my bank will blame Slavic for and vice versa, or they will both blame me. Regardless putting my name down twice on a check and not double checking is unprofessional and is very shady.

    Hello *****,

Thank you for the feedback. We are currently working on updating our user interface and will let our developers know about the bug you experienced in the distribution request to address it. As for your name being listed twice on the check, we looked into this and found it happened due to a human error. We apologize for this mistake and will help cover overdraft fees, if you incur any from your bank. Thank you for letting us know and we appreciate your business.

They made a distribution to my account and sent me an email to contact them if it was *****. I did not authorize this distribution. I called immediately, and their phone system required all of my information including ss#, which I typed in. Then when I speak to someone on the phone, again they want my account number, my name, my date of birth and my social. I gave all of the informationexcept I only provided my last 4 digits of my social. Why should I give the individual my ss#? Isn't that a security issue? Since I didn't give her a whole ss#, she refused to provide anything, and they can't send me a text to verify it is me b/c my phone number associated with the account is a landline.. Absolutely absurd that they don't mask the ss# and that their reps are still asking for it! Absurd is that I can't get any info about the distribution online on the portal of my account. Absurd that I am contacting them to tell them I did not authorize the distribution, and they can do nothing with all of the info that I provided them. ZERO stars if I could give them.

    Hi ******,

We are sorry to hear that you were not satisfied in your interaction with us. We sent your information to customer service to review your account and interactions. We reviewed the 44 minute conversation you had with customer service and found opportunities for better service that we will address. To help clarify the situation, the distribution confirmation you received was not fraudulent. It was part of a plan force out. A force out commonly happens when either you or your employer leaves the PEO/plan sponsor of your 401(k). After a certain amount of time, most PEOs/sponsors require that non-active accounts be removed from their plan by a certain date or else they must be moved into an *** at a third party provider. We confirmed that a notice explaining this was sent to the address we have on file for your back in December. Since you did not move the funds by the deadline, it triggered the distribution to the third party *** provider. In the phone call with customer service, you were given all of the information you should need about the force out and accessing your funds with the new provider.

My previous employer transferred my 401k to Slavic and I have never been able to access it since it was transferred. I have been trying for months to get this resolved via both email and phone calls. I spent hours calling their customer support line in January and finally got a human who told me to email some documents to the customer support email address. Despite me explaining that I have moved and do not know what address they have on file for me, they simply rejected my provided documents that show my address and provided no information about what else I could provide in order to access my account. They also told me that a passport can't be used as identification (why?) and then never responded when I sent my drivers license. After I responded to the e-mail multiple times over the course of more than a month asking how to move forward, someone finally replied telling me to log into my account online - which doesn't work, which is the whole reason I need help accessing it! I replied explaining this and it took several weeks for anyone from Slavic to respond again, and all I got back was a generic canned email saying to call their customer support line ... which was what I did 10 weeks ago when I was told to email the support address. At this point I feel like I will never have access to this 401k again.

Horrible customer service, inadequately disclosed $75 fee for any disbursement or rollover contribution request. I would give this no stars if that was possible.

    Hi Grace,

We passed your information over to customer service and have been told they were able to reach you on the phone to explain the the fee. It is disclosed by the CSR agent that assisted you over the phone. The form you filled out for your distribution/rollover also refers you to the plan documents that disclose these fees. We sent you copies of those documents and also attached them to the BBB complaint you filed. There are also annual notices that are sent that disclose fees. We hope this helps explain things and appreciate your business.

A number of the links on the website to NOT WORK - ***************************************************************** - ********************************************************************** > forms button doesn't work in Safari I try to call and I sit on hold for hours on end I can't believe my employer trusts this joke a company with our hard earned dollars. I suppose I'll work until I die seeing as I'll never be able to access the funds upon retirement.

    Hi ****,

I've been told our customer service team has been able to reach you and answer your questions about distributions. If you need anything else, please reach out to the customer service agent who contacted you directly. As for the broken links, we looked into this and found out the reason the documents are not active in your portal is because your company's plan is not enrolled in our document fulfillment service. When this is the case, the plan sponsor has elected to provide you with all of the disclosures and documentation needed. Thank you.

I guess I'm just the most recent, came here looking for some explanation or additional contact information. This is extremely frustrating and stressful, I did emergency withdrawals for rent, my company moved to another distributor this year but Slavic still has a portion in my account and I haven't heard back from my rep since Feb 6. Site says my status hasn't been updated since the 7th. Been calling daily and on hold for hours with no response. No responses to emails besides automatic receipt messages. Someone PLEASE reach back out to me, this is my only option for paying my bills at this time.

Hi ****, our distributions processor has reached out to you via email as we need further documentation from you, but has not heard back. Our customer service team has also tried to reach you on phone, but you did not answer. They will also be emailing you as well. Please respond directly to one of the emails you receive/received and we'll be happy to take care of this for you once we receive the needed documentation. Thank you.

I have been calling and emailing trying to request a distribution to another account. The page doesnt go through with the request. No one picks up and if I request a call back the customer service immediately hangs up as soon as I answer. Looking into legal actions since I have been trying to get a hold of them for a month now.

Hi Anam, we have passed your information over to our customer service team and have been told they have been in touch with you and provided you with distribution paperwork to submit. We are looking into why the system is not allowing you to submit a distribution request online. In the meantime, please fill out the request form and return it to us and we'll work on getting it processed for you. Thank you.

I have been trying to access my account for weeks now. Attempts to log in are met with errors and timeouts, and trying to change my password results in the same.I have NEVER been able to speak with a live human being, despite waiting on hold for an hour or longer several times.

Hi *******, we had customer service attempt to reach you by phone but they were unsuccessful. You should have also received an email from a member of our team asking for your availability for a phone call. Can you please respond to the email and set up a time for a phone call? Thank you.

No one answers the phone. Called several times. No one responds to an e-mail. The *** number supposedly sent 2 times was never sent so as to access my account. I want the proper form sent to me so I can withdraw ALL of my money from my 401K. I'm 76 years old. Must I wait until I'm 80?Regards,*********************

I am writing this after struggling with Slavic for some time now. I had a 401K account with them and I applied for redistribution of my 401K sum to my new 401K account in Nov 17, 2022. All the processes were completed from my end, and Slavic portal says the distribution was completed on Dec 2, 2022. But I never received any check or direct deposit in my ne 401K account. I have tried their customer service number, but it always puts me on hold and I haven't talked with any agent yet.I am compelled to look for consult or legal action against them now.

Hi ******, thank you for bringing this to our attention. We have sent this over to our customer service team to research. You should have also received an email from them to set up a time for a phone call so we can learn more about the situation and help find a solution. Please respond to the customer service person who emailed you directly. Thank you.
