I purchase 4 tickets from this web site. The total is 714.95 of what I got scam. I purchase tickets for an event for December 16th and they sold me tickets for December 17th. When I received the confirmation email and notice the error I contact them right away to tell them there was a glitch on there system and that they sold me tickets for the wrong date. I ask them to change the date or to give me a refund which they refused to change the date or give me a refund. I’m so upset that they scam me and they will not help me resolve the issue.Business Response

Thank you for reaching out to us. At Tickets-Center, we value our customers and would like to take the time to address our customer’s concerns. It should be noted that Tickets-Center is an online resale marketplace, which means we do not own or generate tickets—instead, we merely facilitate transactions between ticket buyers and ticket sellers. The top of every event and ticket listing page clearly states, “Secondary market tickets. Prices may be above face value”.
In order to place an order on our site customers must complete an interactive multi-step process during which both the event and ticket details are displayed. Since ticket listing pages on our site are specific to the event location and date this means that the customers must search for a specific venue and event date in order to view any ticket listings. On 11/21/2022 our customer completed a purchase for The Nutcracker at The Gallo Center for the Arts on 12/17/2022 in accordance with the following checkout process. Once our customer selected a particular event and the ticket listing they preferred for that event they were presented with the delivery method as well as the expected delivery date, and were then directed to input their email address. Please note that here, customers are provided with an order summary that displays the event details, ticket location, and number of tickets the customer has selected on the right-hand side. This summary also detailed the price per ticket, all fees, and the total charge of $714.95 in bold text prior to entering any payment information. Once our customers input their payment and billing information, they are prompted to click “Continue” and under this button it states: “Your account will not be charged yet.” Then, our customer was required to select a check box signifying their agreement to these terms stating, “I agree to the Terms & Privacy Policy. I have reviewed the Order Summary above. I understand that this site displays resale tickets and that prices may be above face value. I understand that this site is not affiliated with any box office or venue. All sales are final. There are no refunds, exchanges, or cancellations. All prices are listed in US Dollars." Below the terms, our customer’s order total breakdown is reiterated. Directly below the “Place Order” our customer was presented with the message, "By clicking 'Place Order,' your credit card will be charged $714.95 which includes ticket, service, and delivery fees" at which time our customer proceeded to place their order.
Due to the nature of our business on the secondary marketplace, Tickets-Center is not affiliated with any artist or venue and does not own inventory; instead, we act as an intermediary between customers and sellers. Since our customers are purchasing tickets owned and listed by individual resellers, we must ensure that our policies are fair to both parties. We have confirmed that the customer's order was correctly fulfilled with tickets for the event date the customer selected and as such we are unable to offer a refund and must adhere to an “all sales are final” policy. It should also be noted that in addition to this current claim, our customer has filed a dispute with their financial institution regarding this transaction. Due to the nature of the dispute process, we are unable to provide any further assistance for this matter while this dispute remains open. We encourage our customer to contact their financial institution with any questions regarding its process or outcome. As it currently stands, we consider this matter closed.

We ordered ballet tickets on the internet from a company that indicated it was the ticket sales location for the Richmond Ballet. The price for tickets in the location we wished was listed as $183.a piece and $53 handling plus tax. We checked with the box office and the seats actually sell for $75 a piece and about $11 handling. Afterward we looked into it further and we were told by the box office and in a post on line that this is a scam.Business Response

Two (2) Concert tickets
I paid $210 for two tickets to a concert in NYC on December 15, 2022. I am traveling to NY on 12/12 for the entire week. This company has been sending me contradicting emails and has yet to confirm or provide the electronic ticket transfer that I will need to attend this concert. One email said I will receive tickets by 12/2. I need answers or my money back. Attached are the very ambiguous emails I have been receiving since I made the transaction online on the tickets-center.com site on 11/27. The last email on 12/4 said something about ticket shipment, which makes absolutely no sense when electronic tickets are required. Please help!Business Response

Due to the nature of the secondary marketplace, Tickets-Center does own or generate any tickets and therefore does not set or control the ticket delivery date. Rather, the estimated delivery date is set by the individual seller of the tickets and is dependent upon the primary issuer of the tickets, with which Tickets-Center has no affiliation. While Tickets-Center does not control the available delivery date we do ensure that valid tickets will arrive on time for the selected event. In this case, tickets for our customer's event were delivered on 12/10/2022 and as such our customer's order was appropriately fulfilled in accordance with both our buyer guarantee and all agreed upon terms. On 12/3/22, I purchased 2 tickets for a Metallica concert happening in Chicago on 8/9-8/11, 2024, at a cost of $1,107.50. Upon receiving my payment, Tickets-Center.com responded to inform me that I would receive my tickets by 8/8/2024, despite the tickets already being available and on the market. That is a nearly two-year delivery window for a product I spent more than $1,000 on, with delivery coming as late as one day before the event. I have sought and have not received a refund directly from the merchant, and I have also started the process of contesting the charges with my credit card company.
While researching the company, I found Tickets-Center.com has countless BBB and attorney general consumer complaints against it, including for failure to provide tickets in time for events -- or even at all. I contacted their customer service department to ask for an explanation and/or refund, and they could not provide me with one or indicate when I would actually get the tickets. They are asking me to take it on faith that they will deliver a product nearly 2 years after the date I purchased it. I have no faith, based on the endless stream of consumer complaints against them, that they will do this, despite their "guarantee" that I will receive them. In fact, when I spoke to the company representative, Kaneisha, about my problem, she said, "Yes ma'am, I do understand your concern with the company." This is their own employee making this statement! When I asked to receive a statement in writing that they would not be refunding my tickets, they refused.
My ticket information is as follows:

Thank you for reaching out to us. We appreciate the opportunity to address the concerns of our valued customer. Tickets-Center operates on the secondary market and our mission is to connect customers with individual ticket holders and amazing live events. To this end, we’re committed to providing the best possible customer service—and maintaining a simple, transparent fulfillment process.
Our records indicate that tickets for our customer's event were transferred electronically through a third-party platform to the email address associated with the order on 11/6/22. The customer contacted our customer service team regarding issues locating their ticket transfer, at which point our customer care team attempted to assist the customer in accessing their tickets. Because our customers are purchasing tickets owned and listed by resellers, we must ensure that our policies are fair to both parties. This means that we are typically unable to offer refunds and must adhere to an “all sales are final” policy—a standard throughout the industry and agreed to by the customer at checkout. As all order details were sufficiently displayed prior to our customer placing their order and the tickets have been delivered in a timely fashion prior to their event, we consider this matter closed. If our customer has any additional concerns pertaining to their order, we encourage them to contact our customer service department.

I purchased tickets online, thinking I was buying from the Orpheum Theatre (Memphis) official ticket purchase site. After completing the purchase I checked further to find out that while I'd searched for TicketMaster, Tickets-Center.com appeared. In comparing the price I paid ($507.00) I discovered the same tickets would have cost about $250.00 from Ticket Master.
I called Tickets-Center and was told I'd agreed to all sales being final when I purchased and no refund would be issued.
Further research revealed they claim over 50K verified five-star reviews. It's impossible to see or give a review for Tickets-Center on Google. I found a few independent review sites which show a total of about 5K reviews: 1.06 on 1,559 review (ResellerRatings), 1.2 on 224 reviews (TrustPilot), 1.3 on 160 reviews (ReviewCenter), 3.22 on 2,235 reviews (SiteJabber). This is far from "over 50K verified 5-star reviews."
Further research reveals this company has many complaints logged against it.
I disputed the charge w/ AmEx and failed.
To my surprise Tickets-Center completed the sale thru my TicketMaster account!
In my opinion Tickets-Center is a scam, and I believe I have enough evidence to support my belief.

I bought four tickets for the Zach Williams concert on 16 December 2022. I paid $282.01 and only received three tickets. I tried to resolve with the company, but they could not produce another ticket. So, I asked for a refund and they will not do that either. I was mislead through a deceptive search result into purchasing concert tickets through a secondary vendor. I called and informed them that the tickets were mistakenly purchased as I was deceived into buying them from an organization that disguises itself as the primary vendor (TicketMaster). My request for a refund was denied, repeatedly.
The concert is Big Thief, at the State Theater in Portland, Maine, on February 2nd, 2022.
The ticket order number through "Tickets-Center.com" is 49050004. The charge is $189 total for 2 tickets, including a total $50 of "processing and delivery fees," for the two tickets.
The primary market ticket seller (TicketMaster) is selling the tickets for much less than that ($85 including fees), and tickets are not sold out as of today (11/23/2022).
The overcharge is only part of the issue here; it is the deception that I am furious about.
I searched "State Theater Portland Maine" and the first result landed "State Theater Portland Maine Concert Schedule," which led to options to purchase tickets to almost all shows. I purchased tickets and after clicking "I agree to terms and conditions," I was informed that I had purchased tickets through a secondary market seller.
Key bank customer service may cancel my transaction provided I can purchase the tickets cheaper through the primary market seller (TicketMaster). I will attempt that avenue, but suspect it may fail.
I've received "ticket transfer" messages on my phone from strange email addresses and I have no idea how to actually get the tickets I bought. I have reported all "tickets-center.com" emails as spam.

$763.32 date of transaction 11/06/22. Bought a total of 12 tickets from this website (a secondary seller) to a local Nutcracker performance. Only allowed 6 tickets to be purchased at a time. Received confirmation of 6 tickets being available with very confusing instructions on how to access them. The second set of tickets I was told were guaranteed to be received from the seller by 12/03/22 - the actual day of the event. Only if I didn’t receive those tickets would they allow a refund. So then I would have 6 people who wouldn’t be able to attend. I asked for a refund of all 12 tickets so I could buy tickets elsewhere, receive them immediately, and be guaranteed we would all sit together. The customer service reps refused a refund. They also refused to let me speak to a supervisor, and were rude and demeaning.Business Response

During the checkout process, customers are able to view the delivery format for their tickets. The selection our customer made was electronic transfer, where sellers transfer the tickets using the platform that the venue has issued tickets through. The customer received an email with instructions on how to access their tickets for order 48629911, as well as a separate email which contains a link to claim their tickets on 11/6/22. At this time, our customer has also received tickets for their second order 4863011 on 11/28/22, which is in time for their event. Therefore, we must abide by our “ All sales are final” policy. As such, we consider this matter resolved. If our customer has further questions on how to access their tickets, we encourage them to contact our customer service team.

On 10/26/2022 I paid $510.95 for a pair of tickets that sell for $94 when purchased from the official seller. I was duped into thinking I was buying these tickets through an official reseller because they were the top search result for what I was looking for. I have never bought ballet tickets before, so I was not familiar with what was the official way to purchase tickets. I realized shortly after buying them that in my haste I had been bamboozled. I even paid for ticket insurance that touted a refund "for any reason" if I couldn't attend the event. Learned the hard way that this was also a scam as there are a very narrow number of reasons that qualify. When I requested a refund they told me all sales were final, then referred me to the insurance company, who also gave me the runaround. I trusted that this company was legit, but learned quickly they their entire business model is to prey on the ignorance of people such as myself. All I want is a refund. Prices may be above face value.”
Once our customer selected the ticket listing they desired for Ballet West - The Nutcracker, there they were able to see the tickets available, the Delivery Method and Expected Delivery Date (EAD). Once our customer selects the tickets they prefer, they were presented with the Delivery Method and directed to input their email address. Please note that here, customers are provided with an order summary that displays the event details, ticket location, and number of tickets the customer has selected on the right-hand side. This breakdown detailed the price per ticket, all fees, and the total charge of $510.95 in bold text prior to entering any payment information. Once our customers input their payment and billing information, they were prompted to click “Continue” and under this button it states: “Your account will not be charged yet.” Then, our customer is required to select a check box signifying their agreement to these terms stating, “I agree to the Terms & Privacy Policy. Directly below the “Place Order” our customer was presented with the message, "By clicking 'Place Order,' your credit card will be charged $510.95 which includes ticket, service, and delivery fees" at which time our customer proceeded to place their order.
Due to the nature of our business on the secondary marketplace, Tickets-Center is not affiliated with any artist or venue and does not own inventory; instead, we act as an intermediary between customers and sellers. All prices listed on our site are done so by the individual seller, not Tickets-Center, based on their personal assessments regarding a range of factors including customer demand. Since our customers are purchasing tickets owned and listed by individual resellers, we must ensure that our policies are fair to both parties. This means that we are unable to offer refunds and must adhere to an “all sales are final” policy—a standard throughout the industry.
Prior to receiving this claim we thoroughly discussed this matter with our customer to address all of their concerns. We maintain that all order details were sufficiently displayed prior to placing their order; as such, we consider this matter closed. If our customer has any additional concerns regarding their order, we encourage them to reach out to our customer service department so that they may be addressed.

Better Business Bureau:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to my complaint and have determined that this does not resolve my issue. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
My complaint is that this business is 1. Price-gouging, and 2. Preying on the ignorance of buyers. Their response fails to address these complaints. Additionally, this business does not provide an actual service of any kind, e.g. "scalping". If there were no other way to easily buy tickets, their price-gouging would be the trade-off for providing hard-to-find tickets. This is not the case here. Their business models apparently depends entirely on buyers such as myself not realizing that they are being price-gouged and that the tickets can and should be purchased through the actual vendor. After realizing the mistake I had made, my request to this merchant was simply to have my money returned. This merchant never provided me with any product, so I have nothing to return. I just want my money back.

Thank you for responding to us. As previously stated, neither Tickets-Center nor the seller are associated with any venue or box office. As such, the prices on our site are set by sellers and correspond to the demand of tickets. We explicitly state throughout our checkout process that prices may be above face value. Therefore, we must abide by our “All Sales Are Final” policy, which our customer agreed to prior to purchase. We appreciate our customer’s understanding.
