    On 11/30/2022 I wanted to purchase tickets for the Trans-Siberian Orchestra for the event being held on 12/21/2022 on 03:00 P.M. at the Hershey Center, I search on the Goggle Web Site for the Trans-Siberian Orchestra which forward me to Hershey Entertainment and Ticket Master. I called the phone number provided, 800-295-5354, unknown to me I was forward to Ticket Center not Ticket Master. I was told that tickets were limited so I proceeded to purchase 2 tickets for for a Total of $414.60. I requested to purchase insurance, which I always do, however I was told that insurance is not available for this event. Once I paid for the tickets I received the confirmation. Later that evening we were contact by our daughter, who has 4 young children, that she was scheduled for a required surgery on 12/21/2022 and we were needed to watch the children. Within 24 hours of purchasing the tickets I called Ticket-Center to explain our problem. I was told that they can not return my money as they are a third party for Hershey Entertainment and I should sell them on E-Bay, Facebook or thru Ticketmaster. This is how I discovered that I was dealing with Ticket-Center not Ticket Master. I called Hershey Entertainment who stated that unfortunately Ticket-Center purchases a group of tickets and intercept calls going to Ticket Master so they can sell the tickets that they purchased. What made matters worse per the Hershey Entertainment Center the most expensive ticket for this event is $102.00 verses the $207.00 that the Ticket-Center sold me. At this point the Hershey Entertainment Center could not take action they suggested that I go to my bank for resolution. I went to my PNC Bank an open a written dispute against my PNC Debit Card trying to obtain a refund however per PNC this will be very difficult. As you can see I had no idea that I was purchasing from unknown company at the time and paying double the price. I feel that this company should to be fined and stop this practice.

It should be noted that Tickets-Center is an online resale marketplace, which means we do not own or generate tickets—instead, we merely facilitate transactions between ticket buyers and ticket sellers. Our customer has stated that they believed they were purchasing through the venue or the event itself. However, it should be noted that our web address and  branding are intentionally different than those of any event and that neither the website or any phone contact redirects from any other site or primary market. 

    In order to confirm their order the customer was required to verbally agree to our purchase terms and conditions which, as noted in the claim, includes an "all sales are final" policy. At no point was it indicated to the cusotmer that we were affiliated with any venue or primary market, nor was not stated that order cancellations could be offered. Prior to receiving this claim we have been in contact with our customer to address this matter and maintain that all order details and relevant terms were agreed to by our customer at the time of purchase. As it stands the order in question does not qualify for compensation and we consider this matter closed.

    On Nov. 17, 2022 I searched for tickets to the 2023 Grand Prix race in Austin, TX. This website came up first. I purchased 2 tickets to the Grand Prix races for Oct 20, 2023 (Order #48898630). No where did it say that no refunds were allowed. I recently found out that my son's father-in-law purchased tickets to take my son to the Grand Prix. Therefore, I do not need the tickets I purchased and I have no need for them at all. I called the 800 number to cancel the purchase and a recording for "customer service" simply said no refunds were allowed. I was not able to speak to a person. I did not realize it was a secondary ticket seller and I did not realize that I would not be able to get the $728.61 back if I needed to cancel the tickets. I feel like this website is very deceptive and does not provide the information needed to make an informed decision regarding the purchase of tickets they sell. At the bottom of the attached email, there is a link to contact Tickets-Center. The links do no work. You cannot contact them through their link attached to their email.

    At the time of purchase, in order to complete their order, our customer was required to select a check box signifying their agreement to our terms stating, “I agree to the Terms & Privacy Policy. I have reviewed the Order Summary above. I understand that this site displays resale tickets and that prices may be above face value. I understand that this site is not affiliated with any box office or venue. All sales are final. There are no refunds, exchanges, or cancellations. All prices are listed in US Dollars." Below the terms, our customer’s order total breakdown was provided. Directly below the “Place Order” our customer was presented with the message, "By clicking 'Place Order,' your credit card will be charged $728.61 which includes ticket, service, and delivery fees" at which time our customer proceeded to place their order. 

    Due to the nature of our business on the secondary marketplace, Tickets-Center is not affiliated with any artist or venue and does not own inventory; instead, we act as an intermediary between customers and sellers. Since our customers are purchasing tickets owned and listed by individual resellers, we must ensure that our policies are fair to both parties. This means that we are unable to offer refunds and must adhere to the clearly outlined “all sales are final” policy. In addition to this current claim, our customer has filed a dispute with their financial institution regarding this transaction. Due to the nature of the dispute process, we are unable to provide further assistance for this matter while this dispute remains open, and encourage our customer to contact their financial institution with any questions regarding its process or outcome. As it currently stands, we consider this matter closed.

    I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to my complaint and have determined that this does not resolve my  issue.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
    **In order for the bureau to continue to assist you, you MUST provide your view on the matter or your complaint will be closed as answered.I do not agree that it was clear that the company I was purchasing tickets from did not own any tickets at all. I would NEVER had purchased tickets from a seller who did not own any tickets. That is ludicrous. I do not see how the seller, who owns nothing, can sell me something they don't own. I am very perplexed and do not see how this business can take people's money knowing that they have nothing to provide in return. I will fight this until I have received my money returned from this so called "Seller" who owns nothing to sell. I cannot understand how they can possible keep my money when they have nothing to give me.  I was purchasing these tickets for my grandson for his birthday. I have nothing to give him, but I have a large debt with nothing in return.

Due to the nature of our business on the secondary marketplace, Tickets-Center is not affiliated with any artist or venue and does not own inventory. Please note that the ticket listing our customer selected on 11/17/2022 included the following disclosure: "Zone Seating: this listing describes tickets that the seller does not own, but is offering to procure for you." Additionally, the expected ticket delivery date was provided during the checkout process after the customer selected a ticket delivery method. In accordance with the terms outlined in our previous response, a refund cannot be offered in this case and an “all sales are final” policy must be adhered to. Our 100% Buyer Guarantee ensures that the customer's tickets will be authentic and arrive on time for their event. It however has never allowed for cancellation upon request and as such we consider this matter closed. If our customer has any additional concerns regarding their order, we encourage them to reach out to the customer service department so that they may be addressed.

    I paid over $700.00 for 3 floor seats to the Nutcracker on December 11, 2022. Tickets-Center specifically provides a little interactive map that you can select to obtain your tickets. I clearly selected the floor section that was closer to the Orchestra but not too close. I received confirmation that I was in the Parquet section in Row B. I checked the seating charts and everything looked good to me. I finally received the tickets after having to call them and emailing them to give me my tickets. I now know why they delayed giving me my tickets, the tickets at face value are 2 $90.00 tickets and 1 $65.00 ticket and they are not floor seats. Tickets-Center deliberately lied to me and fraudulently sold tickets they did not have and instead provided a product I did not purchase. I request a full refund for this deceit.

As such, ticket listing prices are set by the individual seller, not Tickets-Center, based on their personal assessments regarding a range of factors. As noted above, this means that the price paid may not reflect the price printed on the ticket the customer receives. We can confirm that the ticket listing our customer selected was labeled as Section: Parquet Row: B. The tickets delivered to the customer were for this section and row and as such their order was appropriately fulfilled. Since our customers are purchasing tickets owned and listed by individual resellers, we must ensure that our policies are fair to both parties. This means that we are unable to offer refunds and must adhere to an “all sales are final” policy. We maintain that all order details and relevant purchase terms were sufficiently displayed prior to the customer placing their order; as such, we consider this matter closed.

    My husband bought three tickets for 1/14 Disney on Ice show to take our granddaughter. Unfortunately we can't go that day, we called to asked to change the date to 1/15. Prudential Center washed their hands, and as a matter of fact they treated us very condescending (but that is another topic). Prudential Center told us Tickets Center was the broker, we called Tickets Center and they sounded like a broken record, we operate bylaws...which means their organization's internal operating rules. That they can get away with stealing people's money...to me this a predating and almost criminal practice, they are professional thieves!

    I want them to change the date from 1/14 to 1/15. Just letting them keep $463.50 is not going to happen...I will go to the media or the Government Consumer Agency if I have to. Enough of this abuse!

    On 12/08/2022, I went to what I thought was "Overture Center for the Arts" to verify that tickets to see Jesus Christ Superstar were going on sale on 12/09/2022, when I went into the site, I was surprised to see that there were tickets available for the production and saw that there were "limited seats available", which made me feel very pressured to purchase tickets right away... once I went through the process, I felt uneasy about the transaction and so I went back and googled Overture Center for the Arts and went into the site, this time I was actually in the legitimate site, and there it said tickets did not go on sale until 12/09/2022 and I was instantly panicked and put a freeze on my debit card and reached out to the company which I know now is a website that mirrors the actual venue and immediately asked for a refund...it was within minutes!!! The website was Tickets-center.com, and they refused to refund my money and I don't have any tickets! They told me I could try to resell my tickets online, but I have no tickets to resell, and I am out $503.76!!! How do these websites operate legally???? they are selling tickets that aren't even available yet using deceptive practices and create an urgency. All I asked was please refund my money. How can they tell me to resell tickets that they don't even have, let alone me! Terrible! Does the Overture Center know about this? I am so stressed out as I realize that I went into the wrong website...how many people do this? How many people do these companies overcharge for tickets that they could have bought for far less money? In fact, it is now 10:01AM 12/09/2022 and the tickets don't go on sale until 11AM-I supposedly bought tickets on 12/08/2022 at 7:33PM. To me, this is blatant price gouging, website deception and just taking advantage of honest people. I just want my money back, how hard is that?

As outlined in our previous response, several disclosures are made throughout the ticket selection and checkout processes stating we are a secondary ticket marketplace and that ticket prices may be above face value. These disclosures are further explicated in our terms of service, which every customer must indicate that they have read and agreed to prior to completing their purchase. We must adhere to our all sales are final policy, a standard throughout the industry. If Ms. ***** has additional questions about her order, we welcome her to contact our customer care team directly.     I purchase 4 tickets from this web site. The total is 714.95 of what I got scam. I purchase tickets for an event for December 16th and they sold me tickets for December 17th. When I received the confirmation email and notice the error I contact them right away to tell them there was a glitch on there system and that they sold me tickets for the wrong date. I ask them to change the date or to give me a refund which they refused to change the date or give me a refund. I’m so upset that they scam me and they will not help me resolve the issue.

    In order to place an order on our site customers must complete an interactive multi-step process during which both the event and ticket details are displayed. Since ticket listing pages on our site are specific to the event location and date this means that the customers must search for a specific venue and event date in order to view any ticket listings. On 11/21/2022 our customer completed a purchase for The Nutcracker at The Gallo Center for the Arts on 12/17/2022 in accordance with the following checkout process. Once our customer selected a particular event and the ticket listing they preferred for that event they were presented with the delivery method as well as the expected delivery date, and were then directed to input their email address. Please note that here, customers are provided with an order summary that displays the event details, ticket location, and number of tickets the customer has selected on the right-hand side. This summary also detailed the price per ticket, all fees, and the total charge of $714.95 in bold text prior to entering any payment information. Once our customers input their payment and billing information, they are prompted to click “Continue” and under this button it states: “Your account will not be charged yet.” Then, our customer was required to select a check box signifying their agreement to these terms stating, “I agree to the Terms & Privacy Policy.     We ordered ballet tickets on the internet from a company that indicated it was the ticket sales location for the Richmond Ballet. The price for tickets in the location we wished was listed as $183.a piece and $53 handling plus tax. We checked with the box office and the seats actually sell for $75 a piece and about $11 handling. Afterward we looked into it further and we were told by the box office and in a post on line that this is a scam.

It should be noted that Tickets-Center is an online resale marketplace, which means we do not own or generate tickets—instead, we merely facilitate transactions between ticket buyers and ticket sellers. Our customer has stated that they believed they were purchasing through the website for the venue or of the event itself. However, it should be noted that our web address and website branding are intentionally different from those of any other site. The top of every event and ticket listing page clearly states, “Secondary market tickets. Prices may be above face value." 

    When placing their order our customer was required to select a check box signifying their agreement to our terms stating, “I agree to the Terms & Privacy Policy. I have reviewed the Order Summary above. I understand that this site displays resale tickets and that prices may be above face value. I understand that this site is not affiliated with any box office or venue. All sales are final. There are no refunds, exchanges, or cancellations. All prices are listed in US Dollars." Below the terms, our customer’s order total breakdown is provided. Directly below the “Place Order” button our customer was presented with the message, "By clicking 'Place Order,' your credit card will be charged $486.95 which includes ticket, service, and delivery fees" at which time our customer proceeded to place their order. 
     
    Due to the nature of our business on the secondary marketplace, Tickets-Center is not affiliated with any artist or venue and does not own inventory; instead, we act as an intermediary between customers and sellers. Since our customers are purchasing tickets owned and listed by individual resellers, we must ensure that our policies are fair to both parties. This means that we are unable to offer refunds and must adhere to an “all sales are final” policy—a standard throughout the industry. However, all orders placed through our site are covered by our 100% Buyer Guarantee which ensures tickets will be valid and delivered prior to the scheduled event. Prior to receiving this claim we discussed this matter with our customer to address all of their concerns. We maintain that all order details and relevant terms were sufficiently displayed prior to the customer placing their order; as such, we consider this matter closed. If our customer has any additional concerns regarding their order, we encourage them to reach out to our customer service department so that they may be addressed.

    Two (2) Concert tickets

    I paid $210 for two tickets to a concert in NYC on December 15, 2022. I am traveling to NY on 12/12 for the entire week. This company has been sending me contradicting emails and has yet to confirm or provide the electronic ticket transfer that I will need to attend this concert. One email said I will receive tickets by 12/2. I need answers or my money back. Attached are the very ambiguous emails I have been receiving since I made the transaction online on the tickets-center.com site on 11/27. The last email on 12/4 said something about ticket shipment, which makes absolutely no sense when electronic tickets are required. Please help!

In this case, tickets for our customer's event were delivered on 12/10/2022 and as such our customer's order was appropriately fulfilled in accordance with both our buyer guarantee and all agreed upon terms.     On 12/3/22, I purchased 2 tickets for a Metallica concert happening in Chicago on 8/9-8/11, 2024, at a cost of $1,107.50. Upon receiving my payment, Tickets-Center.com responded to inform me that I would receive my tickets by 8/8/2024, despite the tickets already being available and on the market. That is a nearly two-year delivery window for a product I spent more than $1,000 on, with delivery coming as late as one day before the event. I have sought and have not received a refund directly from the merchant, and I have also started the process of contesting the charges with my credit card company.

    While researching the company, I found Tickets-Center.com has countless BBB and attorney general consumer complaints against it, including for failure to provide tickets in time for events -- or even at all. I contacted their customer service department to ask for an explanation and/or refund, and they could not provide me with one or indicate when I would actually get the tickets. They are asking me to take it on faith that they will deliver a product nearly 2 years after the date I purchased it. I have no faith, based on the endless stream of consumer complaints against them, that they will do this, despite their "guarantee" that I will receive them. In fact, when I spoke to the company representative, Kaneisha, about my problem, she said, "Yes ma'am, I do understand your concern with the company." This is their own employee making this statement! When I asked to receive a statement in writing that they would not be refunding my tickets, they refused.

    Our records indicate that tickets for our customer's event were transferred electronically through a third-party platform to the email address associated with the order on 11/6/22. The customer contacted our customer service team regarding issues locating their ticket transfer, at which point our customer care team attempted to assist the customer in accessing their tickets. Because our customers are purchasing tickets owned and listed by resellers, we must ensure that our policies are fair to both parties. This means that we are typically unable to offer refunds and must adhere to an “all sales are final” policy—a standard throughout the industry and agreed to by the customer at checkout. As all order details were sufficiently displayed prior to our customer placing their order and the tickets have been delivered in a timely fashion prior to their event, we consider this matter closed. If our customer has any additional concerns pertaining to their order, we encourage them to contact our customer service department.
