I purchsed concert tickets from this agency. The cost of the concert tickets were $362 for 2 tickets. I then learned today that the concert tickets are only $72 for 2 tickets had I purchased them through the venue. I understand completely that tickets can be very pricey for good seats or sold out/low ticket shows. This concert is far from sold out and it is a general admission ticket for the lawn so there are no "better" or "worse" seats. Some mark up is expected but this feels as if they are taking advantage of consumers that did not know the value. I contacted them to try to cancel my order, and they were unwilling, advising me to sell my tickets. They said the price is based on the market value. The market value of the ticket is not what I was charged because the tickets are not sold out and are much less. I am extremely upset and would like the tickets refunded and for the business to be checked out because based on reviews this is a regular occurrence with this company.

Thank you for reaching out to us. At Tickets-Center, we value our customers and would like to take the time to address our customer’s concerns. It should be noted that Tickets-Center is an online resale marketplace, which means we do not own or generate tickets—instead, we merely facilitate transactions between ticket buyers and ticket sellers. The top of every event and ticket listing page clearly states, “Secondary market tickets. Prices may be above face value.”

When placing their order our customer was required to select a check box signifying their agreement to our terms stating, “I agree to the Terms & Privacy Policy. I have reviewed the Order Summary above. I understand that this site displays resale tickets and that prices may be above face value. I understand that this site is not affiliated with any box office or venue. All sales are final. There are no refunds, exchanges, or cancellations. All prices are listed in US Dollars." Below the terms, our customer’s order total breakdown is provided. Directly below the “Place Order” button our customer was presented with the message, "By clicking 'Place Order,' your credit card will be charged $362.95 which includes ticket, service, and delivery fees" at which time our customer proceeded to place their order.

Due to the nature of our business on the secondary marketplace, Tickets-Center is not affiliated with any artist or venue and does not own inventory; instead, we act as an intermediary between customers and sellers. All tickets listed on our site are owned and priced by individual sellers based on those sellers' assessments of changing factors such as customer demand. This means the price is not based on the tickets' original price, or face value, and may be higher or lower than that original amount. As noted above, the customer placed their order fully aware that they were purchasing resale tickets and that the price paid may not be reflective of the price printed on their tickets.

Since our customers are purchasing tickets owned and listed by individual resellers, we must ensure that our policies are fair to both parties. This means that we are unable to offer refunds and must adhere to an “all sales are final” policy—a standard throughout the industry. As it stands we consider this matter closed. If our customer has any additional concerns regarding their order, we encourage them to reach out to our customer service department so that they may be addressed.

    Regards,
    Tickets-Center

March 28, 2023 Ticket-Center.com advertised that they had Lauren Daigle tickets for sale. I paid, $1084.50 for three tickets. About $330 per ticket. I realized that I had just purchased tickets from a deceptive and fraudulent business shortly after purchase when looking at the Tmobile Center Website, where I saw official tickets were not on sale until March 31, 2023. I called Ticket-Center.com about 10 minutes after purchase and explained that their ad, site and purchase communication was deceptive and wanted a refund. I asked the rep if they even owned the tickets when I purchased them on their site. The rep lied and said yes, because they have special relationship with the venue. Yet, on March 31, 2023 shortly after the tickets went on sale from the official ticket provider, I received an email from the Official ticket provider and Ticket-Center.com saying my tickets were being transferred to me. Ticket-Center.com did not own the tickets they sold me on March 28, 2023. They bought them like everyone else on March 31, 2023 for 10 times less than they sold them to me for. This is the business model of ticket-center.com to trick customers to pay 8 to 10 times the price for tickets than customers can get from the venue ticket seller. That is what they do. This is documented all over the internet. They design their advertisements, site, seat selection and checkout to appear that you are getting tickets that they already own. This is untrue. They then purchase the tickets at 8 to 10 times less than what they have sold the consumer the tickets for the day the tickets become officially available. Ticket-Center.com is deceptive and is only out for their own benefit. They could have canceled my transaction 10 minutes after I made it and it would not have cost them anything. Instead they continue to deceive and it is costing them their reputation and name. Terrible.

Our customer has stated that they believed they were purchasing through the website for the venue or of the event itself. However, it should be noted that our web address and website branding are intentionally different from those of any other site. The top of every event and ticket listing page clearly states, “Secondary market tickets. Prices may be above face value."

Directly below the “Place Order” button our customer was presented with the message, "By clicking 'Place Order,' your credit card will be charged $1,084.50 which includes ticket, service, and delivery fees" at which time our customer proceeded to place their order.

Due to the nature of the secondary marketplace, Tickets-Center does own or generate any tickets and therefore does not set or control delivery date or ticket listing price. Rather, the estimated ship date is set by the individual seller of the tickets and is dependent upon the primary issuer of the tickets, with which Tickets-Center has no affiliation. Since all tickets listed on our site are owned and priced by individual sellers, listing prices are based on those sellers' assessments of changing factors such as customer demand. This means the price is not based on the tickets' original price, or face value, and may be higher or lower than that original amount. As noted above, the customer placed their order fully aware that they were purchasing resale tickets and that the price paid may not be reflective of the price printed on their tickets. Please also note that in addition to this current claim our customer has filed a dispute with their financial institution regarding this transaction. Due to the nature of the dispute process, we are unable to provide a resolution to this matter while this dispute remains open, and encourage our customer to contact their financial institution with any questions regarding its process or outcome. As it currently stands, we consider this matter closed.

The company has numerous complaints. I purchased 4 tickets at $514.95 and found out afterwards that the company is a scam. I attempted to cancel immediately and was told by the company that there are no refunds They would not refund my money and have not provided me with any tickets. The agent I spoke to told me that I would not receive tickets until the day of the event which is 7 months from now. I have nothing for my money. This is fraud. I would like my money refunded.

This business populated when typing in a local minor league baseball team. At the end of the transaction, it seemed prices were unusually high for our local venue. That is when I noticed the web address not being my venue. I attempted to contact them immediate to cancel the sale. No way to reach them. I immediately contacted PayPal to file a claim. No response to me, and only a response after the case was escalated and the transaction held. They also authorized continued drafts from my account in that transaction (for what service, I don’t know), and I believe PayPal stopped that. This is a scam company with unethical practices in ticket inflation and populating in search to pose as a local venue. There was no reason for me to believe that when I google fireflies, and clicked on it, that I was not on the venue site, as it showed the stadium as it would usually do on the minor league’s site. There is no way to cancel the sale, or reach the company to discuss the transaction.

    Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to my complaint and have determined that this does not resolve my  issue.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
This issue has been resolved through PayPal as of today. This was an open claim yesterday. My compliant is concerning the deceptive nature of this company. This company pops up as the first choice while googling a venue. While there may have been terms conditions on there page (which also apparently authorized this company to continue to make charges through my PayPal account for a service unknown to me- something I was made aware of by the PayPal representative), these terms are not readily visible, and other consumers have filed complaints about these being hidden someobstruction where information is obscure. This has been resolved through a second PayPal claim, but my report to the BBB stands as this is a business practicing deceptively as a scalping agency for tickets by making themselves the first prefilled search option in a search bar and representing itself as a venue. This experience has taught me to physically go to or call a venue before making any future ticket purchases.

I bought tickets to a musical venue from Facebook for Chris Young on February 20, 2023. When I bought the tickets, they promised and presented it like it front row tickets. So supposedly, I bought the last ticket. To make a long story short, the day of the concert, I went to the venue for the concert and they informed me that there was no such ticket in their system. I showed them where I had bought my ticket and they specifically had no connection with these people. So I was out of my money, and didn't even get to see the concert. I tried getting my money back through my bank and it failed. I tried talking to them directly and that has failed too. The representative I spoke to was supposed to email me a form to fill out to send documentation and that I had 3 days to fill out. This is day 2 and no form. These people are fraudulent and taking people's money. Selling tickets that don't exist.

I paid $1950 for two tickets to a play in Seattle which took place on April 23rd, 2023. I agreed to this price thinking that I was getting premium seats (Row F) close to the stage. AFTER paying for them, I received confirmation that the tickets would be sent to me, with a comment that they might be different than the ones I ordered. Of course, I received tickets which were probably 1/10th of the value paid. I tried to contact the business (using their chat function) but was told they could do nothing for me. No one should trust this business; it exposes the user to complete thievery.

Parking tickets were purchased through this site and upon further review, hours after the fact, it was founded that the markup was over 150%. I reached out to them and they refuse to refund me after explaining how the ticket was purchased in the first place. Therefore I am now filing a complaint as their policy for not refunding purchases made in error is unacceptable.

I told them several times in the chat that an unauthorized purchase was made under my name. Therefore, their so-called business policy only hurts everyone in the end. I told them a complaint would be made and it is not going away. We can go back and forth about this all day but at the end of it all, the consumer is right. Therefore, for every available space there is, I will via word-of mouth steer people away due to the blatant policy they have created.

As such, the purchaser needs the email address and password associated with the account in order to complete the purchase. After reviewing the chat Ms. ******* is referencing, we see that the reason she contacted our customer support seeking a refund was because she found tickets at a lower price through another vendor after the purchase was completed and the terms, including our all sales are final policy, were agreed to. We are adhering to the terms agreed upon at the time of purchase, and continue to consider this matter closed.

I went to purchase tickets to a local concert (Lonestar), googled the concert and venue, and was directed to the tickets-center website. I went through the process, purchased tickets (for $373.50), and completed my purchase. The confirmation email is what alerted me that my tickets were then going to be transferred by a third party (and did not include actual tickets). Realizing my mistake, within minutes went to cancel my purchase only to find that I couldn't. Even the "contact us" link in the email was not in fact a link. Though the third party did transfer the tickets to me, in that confirmation email it had said that by agreeing to the ticket transfer, you then agree to the terms and conditions. I never agreed to the terms and conditions thus never agreed to accept the tickets. I then filed a dispute with my credit card company, and according to the documentation provided by tickets-center, I did not cancel my purchase according to their policy. This documentation is attached. However, there was no way to cancel the purchase on the website or otherwise. Thus, I couldn't cancel my purchase according to their policy as there was no way to do so. I'm seeking a refund as I was deceived into thinking I was buying tickets from an official ticket venue and there was no cancellation policy, though according to the statement given by my credit card company, there in fact is a cancellation policy and I was not issued a refund as I did not follow it. I paid for tickets I never used as I refused to use tickets that were not directly from the concert venue. In the attached documentation you will find the confirmation email I received, which clearly states that if there is a problem to "contact us". Again this was not an actual link. And the letter from my credit card company that stated I did not follow the cancellation policy (bullet 3 on pg. 1) with documentation showing there is no cancellation policy.

At the time of purchase, in order to complete their order, our customer was required to select a check box signifying their agreement to our terms stating, “I agree to the Terms & Privacy Policy. I have reviewed the Order Summary above. I understand that this site displays resale tickets and that prices may be above face value. I understand that this site is not affiliated with any box office or venue. All sales are final. There are no refunds, exchanges, or cancellations. All prices are listed in US Dollars." Below the terms, our customer’s order total breakdown was provided. Directly below the “Place Order” our customer was presented with the message, "By clicking 'Place Order,' your credit card will be charged $373.50 which includes ticket, service, and delivery fees" at which time our customer proceeded to place their order.

Furthermore, during the checkout process the customer was able to view the delivery format for their tickets. The selection our customer made was electronic transfer, where sellers transfer the tickets using the platform that the venue has issued tickets through. Customers receive an email with instructions on how to access their tickets, as well as a separate email which contains a link to claim their tickets, advising them to do so. We would like to note that our customer confirmed receipt of this transfer and that it is at the customer's discretion to accept or decline their tickets. However, the customer's choice to decline their ticket transfer does not cancel their order. Tickets-Center stands by our 100% Buyer Guarantee which ensures valid tickets are delivered prior to the event; however, this guarantee has never allowed for order cancellation upon request. At this time, we will continue to comply with all agreed upon terms and conditions and consider this matter is closed. If our customer has any additional concerns regarding their order, we encourage them to reach out to our customer service department so that they may be addressed.

    Regards,
    Tickets-Center

    Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to my complaint and have determined that this does not resolve my  issue.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
Tickets-Center is operating as a company, that thought on paper has done everything legally, is scamming people by coming across as a legitimate ticket website for concert and performance venues. Once people have realized their mistake, it's too late, as Tickets-Center conveniently doesn't have a cancellation policy. They would no longer have a business if they did and they know it. They did not provide me with the refund offer I requested and instead just reiterated their terms and conditions and clearly refuse to do anything to help me in this matter.

Thank you for responding. We appreciate the opportunity to further address the customer's concerns and clarify our policies. As previously stated, our web address and website branding are intentionally different from those of any other site. The top of every event and ticket listing page clearly states, “Independent resale tickets, prices may be above face value." Our site is not connected to and does not direct from any primary market or venue site. Furthermore, we would like to reiterate that when placing their order our customer was required to select a check box signifying their agreement to our terms stating, “I agree to the Terms & Privacy Policy. I have reviewed the Order Summary above. I understand that this site displays resale tickets and that prices may be above face value. I understand that this site is not affiliated with any box office or venue. All sales are final. There are no refunds, exchanges, or cancellations. All prices are listed in US Dollars." In accordance with these terms the customer was fully aware that they would not be able to request a cancelation after confirming their order.

We maintain that all appropriate terms were disclosed and agreed to prior to the customer placing their order and as such we are unable to offer refunds and must adhere to an “all sales are final” policy. Please note that in addition to this current claim, our customer filed a dispute with their financial institution regarding this transaction. We have addressed this, and the dispute was ultimately ruled in our favor. If our customer has any further questions regarding this dispute, we encourage them to reach out to the financial institution with which it was filed. As it currently stands, we consider this matter closed.

I purchased 2 tickets to a baseball game through this company on April 17, 2023. At the time of buying the tickets it did not give a time for the event just the date and seating. when the tickets were emailed to me and I read the full event schedule IE date time and seating the time was set for 11:58pm. I checked another site for the time of the event and it was at 6:40pm no game was scheduled for 11:58 pm. so therefore I contacted the vender and explained this to them and they said there was a game and they would not give a refund. I tried several time to get a refund to no avail. The price I paid was $ 115.29 for 2 tickets, the purchase number for the event tickets is 52760030, The company misrepresented the tickets by not showing the time of the event up fount, leaving the buyer at the mercy of what ever time the vendor wished to place on the tickets.

On 4/17/2023, our customer purchased tickets for Norfolk Tides at Charlotte Knights on 4/25/2023. As noted in the claim, at the time of purchase the event was not scheduled for a specific time. The event time was later updated, and we notified our customer of this time change on 4/19/2023. Please note that since Tickets-Center operates as a secondary ticket marketplace we have taken no part in the decision-making process surrounding the timing of the event. In cases where an event is canceled and not rescheduled, customers will be appropriately compensated. However, if an event is rescheduled or updated by the event or venue, the order will not qualify for a credit and the tickets will be valid for the scheduled event. Prior to receiving this claim we thoroughly discussed this matter with our customer, and as it stands we consider this matter closed. If our customer has any additional concerns pertaining to their order, we encourage them to contact our customer service department.

Tickets.com listed each ticket at $199 each which would have been $398 Although tickets.com said there would be a convenience charge they charged our credit card $547.25, 31% over the listed price. This is OUTRAGEOUS. I would like to warn people of their exorbitant policies.

Once our customer selected the ticket listing they desired for Marc Cohn and Shawn Colvin, they were able to see the tickets available and the Delivery Method. After confirming their selection, they were directed to input their email address. Please note that here, customers are provided with an order summary that displays the event details, ticket location, and number of tickets the customer has selected on the right-hand side. This breakdown detailed the price per ticket, all fees, and the total charge of $542.95 in bold text prior to entering any payment information. Once our customers input their payment and billing information, they were prompted to click “Continue” and under this button it states: “Your account will not be charged yet.” Then, our customer is required to select a check box signifying their agreement to these terms stating, “I agree to the Terms & Privacy Policy. I have reviewed the Order Summary above. I understand that this site displays resale tickets and that prices may be above face value. I understand that this site is not affiliated with any box office or venue. All sales are final. There are no refunds, exchanges, or cancellations. All prices are listed in US Dollars." Below the terms, our customer’s order total breakdown is reiterated. Directly below the “Place Order” our customer was presented with the message, "By clicking 'Place Order,' your credit card will be charged $542.95 which includes ticket, service, and delivery fees" at which time our customer proceeded to place their order.

Due to the nature of our business on the secondary marketplace, Tickets-Center is not affiliated with any artist or venue and does not own inventory; instead, we act as an intermediary between customers and sellers. All prices listed on our site are done so by the individual seller, not Tickets-Center, based on their personal assessments regarding a range of factors including customer demand. Since our customers are purchasing tickets owned and listed by individual resellers, we must ensure that our policies are fair to both parties. This means that we are unable to offer refunds and must adhere to an “all sales are final” policy—a standard throughout the industry.

Please note that we have no record of our customer’s contacting us regarding their concerns prior to this claim. We maintain that all order details were sufficiently displayed prior to placing their order; as such, we consider this matter closed. If our customer has any additional concerns regarding their order, we encourage them to reach out to our customer service department so that they may be addressed.
