1 starThe workers were great and even stayed late to ensure our unit was installed. My problem is that my humidifier was connected to thermostat control as it should have been, and also the price of the unit. We did not have a choice at the the time as Lions was the only one able to come out before 2 weeks and it was middle of winter. With out other options at the time, we had to go with lions. Given other circumstances we would not have gone with them, as they charged almost double of what others would have. I would not recommend them simply because they over charge and prey on those with no other options.Lion Home Service

I'm sorry you feel you were overcharged. Our pricing is set for equipment and the overall pricing only changes based on what type of equipment is needed for a particular job. We have the ability to provide same day service and emergency service, and are proud to do so for our clients at no upcharge in pricing other than the dispatch fee changes for overnight dispatches. 5 starsLion has always been extremely professional and completely upfront with all their costs. They have even completed work without charge, if warranted. 1 starI would NOT recommend you use this company. I previously used AirServe heating, but the owner retired and moved service to Lion. I had a "free" inspection and was told I needed a furnace - ok - apparently I did. A new furnace was scheduled for the next day. HOWEVER they did not turn the furnace back on when they left and we had no heat until 5 pm the next day when they finished the new furnace installation. When they installed the furnace they apparently shut off gas to the entire house because the hot water heater pilot went out (as did both our gas fireplaces) and we had no hot water. I called them and they said someone would be out that day - they never came. I figured out it was pilots when fireplace didn't work. The really frustrating part is you can't talk to anyone to get help. They have a number to call but that doesn't get you anyone that could say - check the on off switch or check the pilot. Getting a call back to talk to someone about these issues was a nightmare. I just expect better customer service than I got and won't ever use them again.Lion Home Service

I apologize you felt the customer service was poor. As explained when we talked on the phone yesterday, there were 3 attempts to reach you regarding your concerns with voicemails left each time. We do not troubleshoot over the phone as there can be significant issues missed that can create safety problems, especially when dealing with gas. We wouldn't be able to turn on the furnace prior to completing the installation as well. Regarding not showing up- the client called in to advise they had turned on the pilot lights themselves and we were no longer needed, so appt was cancelled. We made every attempt to contact you in a timely manner regarding your concerns, and when we did connect yesterday, a full explanation was given. Thank youRobert R

Letting go of the you saying you called several times and I never getting a call or voicemail or any record of a single call, the basics of the poor service are:
Your techs did not turn on the furnace after their inspection. We were without heat during a cold winter night and next day until new furnace was installed.
We were without hot water for an entire day - Your techs did not check pilot lights after shutting off gas to install furnace and did NOT come to fix the next day - I cancelled the call well into the evening after I learned it was pilot lights and that no one was coming that day, even though I called first thing in the morning.
I strongly believe that the level of customer of service is well below what I would expect from a business wanting me as a customer.

1 starTried to get my 84 year old mother to buy a new heater when one was not at all needed. Her heater is in the crawl space that is very hard for her to access. After checking out her heater, the technician lied about some of his findings: there was no filter in the furnace and a large hole in the back of the furnace. I crawled down and took pictures of the furnace that proved the findings were made up. Shame on you Lions!Lion Home Service

HI Stacey, I see that you called in on the same day as you posted this review. We will get permission from your mother to discuss the details of the visit with you, and will be reaching out if we get that approval. There was no charge for the visit, and options were provided to replace the 20+ year old unit that has a hole in the flu pipe, and that a filter rack is needed. No pressure was applied to make a sale, and options were given based on the findings in an effort to correct the issue of no heat. Thank youReview fromAmber D

1 starI tried to not write this review, but I was denied the ability to talk to a manager. The technician who came to work on my furnace and water heater was kind, professional and personable. However, I had several concerns about his work and communication with me. He did not send my invoice. I had to ask for it the next day. He said he would give me a discount on a water pressure valve, if I gave him a good review. All past technicians had showed me what they had done on each appliance and why with pictures. He seems to have promise and I wanted to talk with his manager to relay what I hoped would be helpful suggestions. The woman at Lion who answered the phone, refused to forward me to a manager. I explained several times that I just wanted to let them know my concerns and she said she would relay them and sent me the invoice. I asked four or five times to speak with a manager and the she asked what kind of resolution I wanted. I said I do not want money, discounts or anything but after the tens of thousands on dollars I spent with Lions, I thought they owed me the courtesy of speaking to a manager. She continued to argue and I just hung up. This was so unlike my previous experiences with Lions that this review seemed the only way to be heard.Lion Home Service

1 starMy AC broke down. We called Lions and had a great experience. Well at the beginning of fall we called them again for a duct cleaning. Jasmine came to my home and sold us a duct cleaning, sanitizing, and sealing. She convinced us we can add the charges to the loan already in place at about $50 extra a month. When she left we had the understanding of what was supposed to be done, a 2 year supply of filters for our furnace was supposed to be delivered, and a service plan for inspection.
The next day I get a call that they can come do the work. The machines they needed to do the job were extremely loud interrupting my job. They did not fully seal my vents when adding the glue causing my dinning room/kitchen to get fogged out and I almost had an asthma attack. They were here half the day and left the foam to block the vents and an open knife where my grandson found it open.
When they were leaving they wanted me to sign off, but financing was not secure before work was completed. They stated that they would let Jasmine handle it.
We were negotiating terms of an agreement to pay for the work, but Jasmine never followed through. We would set times to talk, for her to stop by, and no show and no communication that she was not going to be there.
We then started talking to the head of finance. They agreed that a signed agreement was not there.
We demanded an original invoice, advised we never got the filters, and to cancel the service plan. They sent us an invoice showing signed on 11/01/2022 but work was completed on 11/08/2022. It also shows a payment that we made in good faith on 12/01/2022.
The agreement does not have a signature for completed work, still shows the filters and the service plan. When trying to determine why, no one will respond. They are not providing a certificate of completion. This means they cannot prove the signature was placed on the document in the day in question.Lion Home Service
