    On June 5 i checked into elk meadows. A friend had transferred a $235 credit to my account there due to a required cancellation on their part. When i checked in i was told i owed a $114 balance for my 5 night stay. I asked the employee if i had received my credit, and she assured me i had. Based on her affirmation, i signed for the additional credit charge of $114. I was later provided a copy of my charges, only to realize i had not been given the credit. I addressed this error with employees/management who stated the credit had not been reflected on my account when i checked in due to an oversight by the bookkeeper/accountant, but they would resolve the problem. I checked with employees/management 4 different times during a two week period, each time they stated they would resolve the problem. On my last day at check out i was told they agreed i had a credit, that it was a bookkeeping error, but that they would not issue a refund. They did offer to let me use the credit in their store, but #1 that was not right or what i wanted, and #2 the only thing they had in there i could use would have been approximately 150 rolls of toilet paper. I really find this resolution to be insulting. All i am asking for is the $114 they overcharged me because of THEIR mistake. In over 25 months of travel and staying at over a 150 campgrounds i have never been so rudely spoken to. In essence, they commited fraud and theft and outright lied about resoliving the matter. I appreciate any assistance you can render in resolving this matter. Thank you. *****

    The management at this campground commits fraud and theft, and are very rude, mean and liers. When i checked into the campground i had a $285 credit transferred in from a friend who had to cancel their reservations. The employee at checkin said they had applied the credit to my account and that i still owed $114, which i paid by credit card, assuming the employee was being honest. I was then provided a copy of my charges. When i looked at it, i realized i had not been given my credit. I addressed this with employees/management 4 times during my stay. Each time i was told it would be resolved. At checkout i again addressed this with management and was ultimately told they would not refund my money, but that i could use the credit for in-store purchases. They had nothing in the store i wanted or could use, except for over 120 rolls of toilet paper. Thus, i am out my credit amount, with no recourse. This is the only time in over 25 months of travel that i have ever been treated like this and CHEATED out of my money. They agreed i had the credit, that they made an accounting error but still refused to refund extra amount paid to them. They are unscrupulous, uncaring and unreasonable. In effect, they stole money from me.
