I have been a customer with ********************** for several years, but where I moved to, I was getting really poor service. I kept calling Boost and they kept telling me they were working on it, but it never got better, so I switched to another carrier. They are now refusing to refund me for this month, even though I am no longer with them. This is unethical. I want a refund.

      Dear ****************:

On March 25, 2024, we received your complaint, dated March 24, 2024, filed with the Better Business Bureau.

You said that you canceled service because you were experiencing poor signal at your new location. You requested a refund, since you canceled five days after you made a payment, but it was denied.

When we spoke today, I informed you that the Boost Mobile Terms and Conditions disclose that payments remitted to Boost Mobile are final and non-refundable; any unused funds remaining on an account at the time service is canceled will be forfeited. Nonetheless, I issued a prorated refund for $81.66 as an exception, and you accepted this resolution.

      Sincerely,

                      ************ - ************

      Dear ******************:

On March 25, 2024, we received your complaint, dated March 24, 2024, filed with the Better Business Bureau.

You stated that you were overcharged for the two months you have had service. You were charged $65.09 on February 1, 2024, and again on February 8, 2024. Your first bill came to $98.99, but a $23.06 credit reduced the balance due to $33.80. You said that you were told a credit of $100.15 would be issued on your next bill. However, your second bill shows a previous balance owed of $163.98, a past-due balance of $42.03 and no $100.15 credit, with a total due of $242.75. When you asked for an itemized list of the charges, none of the agents were able to provide you one nor did they have the ability to credit any of the charges. You were advised to pay the $242.75 and your next bill would show the corrected amount. You requested an explanation of your bill and the appropriate credits to be applied.

On February 1, 2024, you initiated service with the Infinite Access for iPhone plan and paid $65.09 to cover the sales tax for the associated device. On February 6, 2024, you added an additional line with the Infinite Access for iPhone plan and paid another $65.09 to cover the sales tax for this associated device. These details are noted on the bill you attached dated February 7, 2024.

Your second bill dated March 6, 2024, indicated a past-due amount because of the $23.06 goodwill credit, and AutoPay only collected the amount due noted from the February 7, 2024, statement. This bill shows prorated charges from February 6, 2024 - March 6, 2024 plus the next month. Due to this your bill is higher than the normal rate and outlined on the March 6, 2024,statement you attached. When combined the amounts owed for your first line ending in 7820 ($105.86) and the second line ending in 8629 ($136.89), the total comes to $242.75.

As a courtesy for the confusion caused, we applied a one-time credit of $80.00. Your current balance is $140.75.

If there are further questions or concerns about this issue, please feel free to contact me at **************.

Terrible experience from jump.Constantly ************** randomly, which I reported often. and when I called to advise of my cancelling plans, Boost Infinite advised it would be available to me to keep my number and move to a different company with a port number Boost provided me. This was a lie as they refused to unlock my cell until days after collecting an upcoming auto paymemt. They refused to take early payment in order to expedite use of my phone w a new company . This is scandalous and abusive. No payment due yet, so they will block service elsewhere until they decide to bill you for the final phone payment. Causing a customer already tortured by your horrible lack of consistent phone service to be without phone service at all as you wait to take action and unlock the phone, or accept any payment ( early) is absolutely unacceptable. No one should have this shady locked game kept under wraps as you provide next steps AND readily provided the phone transfer code, as if that is all there is to it. Boost Infinite should be responsible for yet conitinued lack of service on top of more lack of service. Days to unlock my cell phone for a new company, in spite of giving me a port code to transfer my service elsewhere. BeWARE . NOT OKAY

      Dear ******************:

On March 25, 2024, we received your complaint, dated March 23, 2024, filed with the Better Business Bureau.

You said you constantly had service outages, which you reported, and you were informed that you may move your number to a new company. However, you are unable to take your phone with you, as it is locked. You indicated that you were not able to pay off the device sooner, so it can be unlocked. You requested a billing adjustment.

You received a port-out PIN that allows you to port your phone number to another provider, but this does not unlock your device to allow you to use it with another carrier. Boost Infinite will unlock your phone once you completely pay it off. You can find more information here: *********************************************************************.

When we spoke, I informed you that I made an exception and waived the balance on your account. You accepted this resolution.

Boost One App offers ways to earn Boost coins that translate into $ that can be used as service payment. The app offers 50 Boost Loyalty coins each 3 months of service just for being a paying customer. This is not being done by ********************** but they did credit acct 1.00 for missed coins. They offer 75 points called Streaks for Watching Videos 7 days in a row. From 3/3 Video Streak, I watched videos every day expecting 75 coins on 3/10 and another 75 on 3/17. I did not get those coins. Boost claims its partner TapJoys issue. TapJoy says its Boost. I want my earned total 150 points and the Boost App to be fixed so that Boost Loyalty 50 is awarded every 3 months and the rewards outside the TapJoy Offerwall such as Spin, Log in, Watch Videos, Video 7 day streak, Spin 7 day streak have actual representatives that can answer to errors instead of Boost sending to TapJoy and TapJoy saying not it.

You said you have been earning Boost coins through the BoostOne App and you are not receiving the credit. Boost Mobile said that this is a TapJoy problem, and they say it is Boost Mobiles.

My attempts to contact you on April 10 and 11, 2024, were unsuccessful, but I left a voice message with my contact information.

A review of your account indicates you have been able to redeem your Boost coins through the BoostOne App and a $1.00 credit was issued on March 9, 2024, to replace the missing coins you reported. A $14.00 credit was issued on April 9, 2024, for coins redeemed through the BoostOne App, and I show ongoing reward accumulation on your account.

My complaint was legitimate. ***** offered account credit and all is well but I wanted to make sure file updated for our correspondence by email since I missed his calls.

      Dear ******************:

On March 25, 2024, we received your complaint, dated March 23,2024, filed with the Better Business Bureau.

You stated that you purchased a device and had to select a $60.00 monthly plan. You were not allowed to change the plan to a less expensive option because the device was discounted. You indicated that our website does not say anything about this policy. You requested a billing adjustment.

When a device is purchased through our website, the plans available will vary dependent upon the device purchased and the level of discount offered on that device. As the website will only show available plans for each device, an explanation on the website is not necessary.

No billing adjustment is warranted in this case.

      Dear ****************:

On March 22, 2024, we received your complaint, dated March 22, 2024, filed with the Better Business Bureau.

You stated Boost Mobile/Infinite and Amazon charged you $124.01 in illegal taxes on a device. You also said your device did not come with a SIM card. In addition, you attempted to purchase an iPhone 15, but the orders were not fulfilled. You requested a refund check of at least $1,513.82 and an unlocked iPhone 15.

Regarding the iPhone SE order in question, it was placed on July 9, 2022, under order number **************. Please note that there is a ten-day return window for this device for a full refund. However, given that the order was made in 2022, you are now well outside of this return window.

The $4.42 charge on your bill pertains to taxes associated with the device.

Please note, Boost Mobile is a prepaid service, all payments made for service are considered non-refundable.

It has come to our attention that the orders were not fulfilled due to a security flag. Regrettably, we are unable to process the orders. Since the orders were not fulfilled, no funds were debited.

Your request for an unlocked iPhone 15 and a refund check which are not applicable in this situation.

Unfortunately, if you decide you no longer want our service, you are under no obligation with Boost Mobile or Boost Infinite.

      Sincerely,

Now being force to go with another Service carrier provider because for a week now after servicer renewal, the phone has repeatedly sent pop up messages stating that the sim card is not register to network or not in sim card slot. I have a $60 problem costing me more than the $60 paid to the SERVICE CARRIER PROVIDER for not providing me with the Service which was agreed upon. All I want is my $60

      Dear **************:

You said that you had an old ** phone with insurance and then you bought a different phone. You are now experiencing issues with the new one, and the insurance appears to have not transferred over to cover it. You requested a refund.

Our records show that you purchased a ************* with insurance on March 13, 2024. This phone is therefore, insured.

When we spoke on March 26, 2024, I explained that Boost Mobile and Likewize are two separate companies and Likewize is responsible for insurance claims. I advised you to contact them to inquire about the insurance coverage on the old phone and if it is transferable.

I offered you a two-month account credit for the inconvenience, which you accepted as an amicable solution.

Boost mobile sent me an email to upgrade to a phone for $25, offer valid in-store only. When I went to take the offer today 3/21/24, I was told they could not do this and the phone would cost around $60. The offer is valid until 4/18/2024. They are purposely lying to customers by sending this email and having the offer valid until April when this is not true.

I am rejecting this response because: I was purchasing your Celero5G+ 2024 for $49.99 Using my Upgrade I earned. Now the Celero 5G 2024 ( WITHOUT THE PLUS) is $159.99 and Not even the phone I originally ordered that was shipped back to you ******** Why should I LOSE my Upgrade for a Phone I never received? Why can I not get the Celero 5g+ 2024 I originally ordered?

I can not understand why if anyone in the world has boost mobile they are NOT allowed to move ever without losing their account.

Can Boost send me the Celero 5g+ to a Boost retail site near me and I can pick it up from them for the $49.99 price? If I open a new account that will require me to get a new phone number and I will still lose the Upgrade I already lost. Please tell me Boost can make this right.

      Dear ****************:

On April 9, 2024, we received your rebuttal, dated April 9,2024, filed with the Better Business Bureau.

You stated that you are rejecting our response, as you are now unable to purchase the Celero 5G+ for $49.99. You said that the original device was shipped back to us via **** You indicated that the price is now showing as $159.99. You asked if a phone can be sent to the store for you to purchase at $49.99.

As previously advised, orders placed through www.boostmobile.com will only go to the address used when the account was created; there is no option to update the billing address and if a different address is needed, you can either set up a new account or visit a local store.A review of your account reflects that the phone has not been shipped back to us: you were provided a refund as a courtesy. Please note that the attachment included in your complaint shows that when the order was placed it was to be sent to ************************************

At this time, we are unable to reinstate the phone upgrade on your account. Please note that the difference will only be provided as an account creditnot a refund. If you go this route, please reach out to me once the device is purchased, so the appropriate account credits can be applied.
